  1. May I ask how soon in advance did Lexus Insurance notify you of the cost to renew? I am with them too (cover expires in early February) and wondered when I will receive the (likely) bad news about the cost of renewing. Thanks.
  2. I couldn't have put it better - having also had a NX300h with 18s before. I can't feel or hear any discernible difference between the two cars. The only drawback is, as Ken says, the higher cost of replacing the run-flats. Plus I feel that they are more prone to damage from potholes; etc. due to their composition (I have already had to replace one tyre due to this - at a cost of £280 - and have only done just over 10,000 miles).
  3. Hi Alan, I had the same pop-up in my NX350h yesterday so you're not alone. I clicked on "OK" and then re-enabled the "Share geolocation with Toyota" option. I haven't driven the car since doing that so not sure if the problem has been resolved permanently. Maybe a blip at the Lexus\Toyota back-end?
  4. Straight from the horse's mouth (or the user manual at least):- To be honest I'm not sure how it does it (have never checked and looked) but I'm hopeful that it is more scientific than just allowing run-off to flow over the lens.
  5. That's one of my pet hates too. It's quite simple really - if you're not going faster than the traffic in the lane to the left of you then pull into that lane when it's safe to do so. It's not rocket science.
  6. No problem @Starlight Here you go:- You'll notice that most of the settings are pretty much Default or Disabled - this is because I have "Passthrough" set to "Enabled". The only setting that I have changed is under the "Wi-Fi Settings" option where I have changed the "Wi-Fi Channel" to 165. This was to prevent the device from "dropping out" whenever I passed a particular place on my commute (likely due to interference from mobile phone masts at that location). Hope this helps.
  7. As has been stated by others, the circular blanking plate in your photo is not related to the door puddle lights. The blanking plate that is related to the puddle lights can be found slightly above the circular plate - it's a small rectangular shaped plate that is part of the black plastic door trim. As far as I know, all specifications of the Gen 2 NX should at least have the plate in each of the front doors. I believe that whether the plate has the necessary wiring behind it may depend on what specification you have. Once you have found each plate (carefully) use a small screwdriver or car trim removal tool to prise the plate off and check to see if the wiring exists. If it does then it's a simple 10 minute job to wire up the lights. For what it's worth, my 2022 Premium Plus NX350h had the wiring.
  8. My AAWireless dongle has been pretty much faultless since the day I purchased it nearly 3 years ago - and with multiple Samsung phones over that time (S10+; S20 FE and now a S21 Ultra). Connects (very quickly) every time and there is no lag with music streaming or navigation using Google Maps. @Starlight have you tried using the "Enable Passthrough" option for the device via the companion App's settings? This places the device into it's most basic, vanilla, configuration (so you will lose some of the extra functionality such as changing the screen DPI for example) but I find it works best for me as there is less margin for error. Give this a try if you haven't already. Failing that, feel free to DM me and I will be happy to send you a screenshot of my whole device settings so you can try to mirror these on yours.
  9. I would try uninstalling both apps from your phone. Then search for "Lexus Link+" on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (depending on which type of phone you have) and install it directly from there. Once installed, try to register your car again (if prompted). Hope this helps.
  10. I got the update too today (Android). As revealed by @HMT earlier.... They have made some improvements to the Hybrid Coaching section, namely: 1. Under the "Overview" section you can select each of the last 12 month's datasets separately. 2. The "Trips" section goes back far more months than in the previous version of the app.
  11. Unless the download/upload alert you received was related to the Lexus app itself (or the phone suddenly reboots), this shouldn't have an adverse effect on the app's functionality.
  12. What if you did the whole process whilst sat in the car? That way the message with the QR code should stay on the screen, maybe.
  13. My NX350h is in the UK Premium Plus specification (so 20" wheels and the 14" screen). I must say that personally I am pleased that I chose a higher level of specification over the base option (and that I could afford it of course). Most of my reasons for saying this are from a "I prefer the way it looks" perspective rather than from a usability or comfort preference. In my humble opinion I think the NX looks better with the 20" alloys however, as has been said already, you will "pay" for this with a less comfortable ride compared with 18" plus they are run flat tyres which are more expensive to replace. With regards to the size of the infotainment display, again just my opinion but I think that the 14" display utilises the screen housing much better than the smaller 10" display. With the latter there is (IMHO) far more piano black plastic on the surrounds. I'm not sure about any differences in the functionality offered but if you ditch the in-built navigation and audio controls for either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you can probably live without anything that might be missing with the 10" version. I know that had I gone for the "lesser" options with regards to the alloys and the screen I would have lived to regret it once I saw a NX in a higher spec. Also there are other "nice to haves" that come with the higher spec. Obviously these things are subjective choices and personal preference and no doubt other owners would disagree. At the end of the day, it basically comes down to what you can reasonably afford to pay. Last word of advice from me - don't act on impulse and overstretch yourself with regards to spending money on a car - you'll only regret it later on when the novelty wears off. With regards to the turn signals, as @ColinBarber quite rightly states - all UK NXs come with LED indicators so we may not be able to help you with that question. I believe, however, that some lower spec NXs in the US and Canada have the standard incandescent bulbs. So you may want to ask that particular question on the US "Club Lexus" owners forum as I think that some owners on there have attempted a conversion to LED.
  14. I removed the factory-installed screen protector soon after collecting my NX350h over 18 months ago and it has been "naked" ever since. So far, no scratches or fine lines on it (and I do wipe it clean regularly) - famous last words! You may be aware that there are after-market screen protectors available from the likes of Amazon but in my opinion they spoil the look of the display.
  15. Yes there is. Page 120 of the PDF version of the multimedia owners manual describes how to connect to a WiFi network. Obviously the car will only be connected when powered up and also I'm not sure if the car will automatically connect each time.
  16. I can recommend these. I installed the same ones in my 350h over a year ago and they are still perfect. And at a fraction of the price of the Lexus OEM ones too. Just be sure to check first that you have the necessary wiring behind the blanking plate in each front door. Also, if ordering, choose the "small plug" option on the order page.
  17. My previous 2018 NX300h gave me a warning (in the instrument cluster) after a short while when I was using the radio in ACC mode. I'm pretty sure that the Gen 2 NX would do the same but I've never tested it. As others have said - always have the car in READY mode when sitting in the car idle and listening to the audio. Also, I find that with the A/C and fan off and the lights switched away from AUTO, the car can stay in EV mode for quite a while before the ICE kicks in (mine is the standard hybrid).
  18. Same for me on my 2022 350h.
  19. I would imagine that this is enabled by having a distinct Spotify app built in to the Jag's infotainment system (similar to what Lexus have done in the US with Apple Music and Amazon Music). I can't see that kind of thing coming to UK Lexus cars anytime soon though.
  20. I agree that no wireless Android Auto availability in the new (or even slightly older) Lexus infotainment systems seems a bit strange. I wasn't aware that the other brands you mention have wireless AA in the UK as I thought that this was a general licensing issue with Google that affected all UK (and, I believe, European) cars. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath for when Lexus (and Google) get round to sorting this out and actually enabling it. In the meantime I will continue to use my (faultless) AAWireless adaptor (search for it on these forums or on Google in general if you're interested) which gives me virtually the same thing as wireless AA. As for your second question about Spotify - I don't believe that this is possible. Happy to be proven wrong though.
  21. I think this is a dealer-enabled configuration change only (but can also be done DIY via an OBD2 adapter and associated app, such as Carista).
  22. Hi James, congratulations on the car. To set the the order of the apps in AA..... open the AA settings on your phone press on "Customise launcher" from the list of available apps, hold and drag each app up or down until they are in the order you desire (be aware that AA typically has 4 apps in each row, so to get Spotify on the far right you'll need to place it at position 4 or 8 or 12 (etc.) in the list press the "back" arrow to save your selections Hope this helps.
  23. Ah, so you mean the "Black and Rich Cream" interior spec? (Which I have in my NX by the way). If so, and you have all black instead, I would personally be rejecting the car. Whether you feel the same way I guess depends on a number of factors, such as how much you really want your original, chosen, interior and how long you might have to wait for a replacement car to become available.
  24. Are we talking about just the headliner here or the whole interior (i.e. the seats and door panels; etc)? If it's the former then I might be inclined to let it slide - especially with the offer of some compensation (financial or by other means) from Lexus. If it's the latter then I would definitely be very dissatisfied and would be exploring my options around rejecting the car and getting Lexus to source one in the correct specification pronto. [BTW, I'm assuming that it's just the headliner as I'm not aware that you can spec the NX with white seats; etc.]
  25. With autumn and winter (and therefore wetter weather) on the horizon I am considering ordering a set of mud flaps for my NX350h. My main reason is to (hopefully) reduce the amount of muck and spray that collects around the tailgate area and rear bumper. May I ask others on here (who have mud flaps fitted to their NX) whether they are useful in this specific regard. Thanks.
