  1. "Bouncers Dress To Impress" - apply sparingly with a microfibre cloth and allow to dry.
  2. Looks like a number of independent YouTube car reviewers have now managed to get their hands on the new model - at least in the US. The US Club Lexus forum has a topic dedicated to some of these:- https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-2nd-gen-2022-current/974330-2022-nx-test-drive-vids-post-em.html
  3. Just got back from an early morning trip to the M&S store in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire (the large one on the A10 for those that know it). There is a large Tesco's there too with a filling station. The queue of cars waiting to fill up was horrendous. The petrol station is located within the large parking area for both stores but even so the queues were creating havoc on the surrounding roads. It's crazy. Like others, I put a lot of the blame on the media who have been so irresponsible with their reporting. IMHO these media scare stories have got a lot worse since the advent of 24 hour TV news channels - they have to fill all that time so have to "stretch" and over-emphasise every story to the Nth degree (and repeat it every hour). Forget all that nuclear or cyber warfare - the easy way to get this country on it's knees is to add the words "however there's no need to panic buy" into any media report about potential shortages of essential items.
  4. 😀 For me it's a "nice to have" rather than a "must have". If my chosen equipment "pack" for the new NX (Premium Plus) included it then all and well good but I personally wouldn't be paying extra for it.
  5. I was interested in the Digital Rear View mirror when compiling a preliminary wish list for my new NX and came across this video which explains what it can do:-
  6. Same here. No noticeable difference in performance or MPG after two fill-ups with E10.
  7. Hi @Steve Oliver I was just taking another look at the price list\brochure and it appears that you can get the panoramic roof on a 450h+ if you go for the non-F Sport version (with Premium Pack) and wondered if you were aware of that? Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick here.
  8. Thanks for that Steve - very helpful and reassuring. Sorry to hear about the lack of the panoramic roof on the 450h. Thanks also to @ColinBarber for clarification on the Sonic Grey colour too.
  9. Thanks again Colin. Yeah, I've just posted the same on the other MY2022 NX thread. That's a relief to have that confirmed.
  10. Having now had a chance to peruse the available colours and trim in the published price list (https://lexus.turtl.co/story/13504003_all-new-nx-price-list/), I wonder whether the Cloudburst Grey colour is in fact available but has been named differently for the UK as Sonic Grey. Will need to clarify this with my dealer and report back.
  11. Following the announcement from Lexus that the new NX is now available to pre-order (https://mag.lexus.co.uk/new-lexus-nx/), I spoke to my local Lexus dealer today and have placed a (fully refundable) £500 deposit on one to get the ball rolling. I was told that they expect to have demonstration models in the showroom by December (or possibly sooner) with initial orders fulfilled by January or February. Was disappointed to be told that Cloudburst Grey exterior colour will not be available in the UK so will need to have a rethink on colours. A strange decision by Lexus I think, considering that that colour features prominently in all their promotional material released to date.
  12. Thanks for the heads-up Colin but I will be going for the NX350h (apologies for the confusion - I realise that this topic may be limited to just the PHEV version).

  14. Hi @Herbie I watched your video with interest. If I understand correctly, your main issue is that it isn't possible to "navigate" to the right-hand (secondary) "window" using the joystick, i.e. you can only control what's in the primary window. I agree that this is a major bug however there may be a workaround for this until the developers come up with a fix (apologies if you know this already). Are you able to move down (and select) the icons on the far left-hand side of the screen (i.e. those under the round "home" button) using the joystick? If so then the following may give you some increased functionality..... As it appears that you can only navigate to, and control, what's in the primary window, my suggestion would be switch your 2 running apps (e.g. Google Maps and Planet Rock) into the primary window each time you wish to control it. There's an easy way to do this using the left-hand icons. For example, if you have Google Maps in the primary window and Planet Rock in the secondary (inaccessible) window then the icon for Planet Rock should appear on the left-hand side. If you select this icon then Planet Rock automatically switches to the primary and Google Maps moves into the secondary (and the icon in the left-hand side changes to that for Google Maps). To make Google Maps the primary again, simply select it's icon on the left-hand side. Again, this workaround only works if you can select the icons on the far left. I know this isn't ideal but it will allow you to control each running application. Hope this helps.
  15. And at 05:42, a first glimpse (for me at least) of the cockpit in RHD. Thanks @subria88
  16. Just my two-pence worth..... Like others have said, I find the LOC a lot more friendly than other car forums that I have frequented in the past. I don't tend to stray much past the NX forum on here but do occasionally dip into other posts that are related to motoring in general (or those related to non-motoring subjects). I can't say that I have encountered any real hostility or anger in any of them but maybe I haven't stumbled upon the posts that Shaphor and others are referring to. I find the LOC to be a useful resource for information-sharing and a nice place to "hang out" when I'm enjoying my morning's cuppa. I tend to classify the people on here similar to the majority of Lexus drivers I encounter on the road, i.e. courteous; friendly and well-informed.
  17. ^^ Exactly this for my NX too. No "pulling" to one side either. 2018 NX with 26,000 miles also.
  18. Lexus used pretty much the same wording in a recent edition of their (public-facing) online magazine:- https://mag.lexus.co.uk/lexus-warranty-how-lexus-relax-cover-works/ [scroll down to the section entitled "What is and isn’t covered by Lexus Relax?"] They do however include a link to their T&Cs. It's only when reading these T&Cs that the actual differences can be seen.
  19. Looks like they may have taken the GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter?). I wonder how the GPF being stolen compares to theft of the CAT in terms of inconvenience and cost to replace. Hopefully someone on here can enlighten me.
  20. Hi @Senna the OEM satnav in my 2018 NX has the functionality to warn me when I'm approaching a speed camera however the volume of the alerting "beep" is so quiet that it can't be heard over road and engine noise. I've tried to work out how to increase the volume of this but to no avail. Instead I use a navigation app on my Android phone called TomTom Amigo which provides clear, spoken, warnings through the car's speakers via Bluetooth. Maybe check that out if you have an Android phone (not sure if there is an iPhone equivalent). I no longer use the OEM satnav (since the retrofit of Android Auto) so can't help you with your second question I'm afraid.
  21. Thanks @subria88 that's very informative. Assuming that the UK spec list is very similar to the link above, my initial thoughts\aspirations would be as follows:- NX350h - Cloudburst Gray - Standard 18" alloys - Black\Rich Cream Leather - Premium Package (with Lexus Interface) Just need to win the lottery now 😀
  22. I imagine the dealers are trying to reduce their stock of the current NX before the new version hits the showrooms later this year, so are offering some very attractive deals on it. I haven't been contacted by my local dealer in this regard yet but no matter how tempting the offer might be, I'm going to wait for the new model to become available anyway.
  23. I would give it a few days to see if it shows up. I had a similar experience to yours which, after waiting many months to no avail, was finally corrected by an email to Lexus Customer Relations (cr@lexus.co.uk).
  24. I shall be joining you in the front of that queue Steve. Roll on Q4 of this year when hopefully I will be having some serious discussions with my local dealer about specs and prices.
  25. An update on the AAWireless device after using it for a week or so.... I am very happy with it. It's so much more convenient to have Android Auto running without having to connect my phone to the USB port on every journey. I just start the car and the phone connects automatically (be it in my pocket or the glove compartment, for example). Here are some pointers that may help others who are considering buying one (or who are waiting for theirs to arrive):- activation time from starting the car varies between 30 seconds and 1 minute. Not sure why there is this variation but it may be related to the order that the phone (or the head-unit) starts the necessary services. battery drain:- on my typical 45 minute "commute" the phone drops approximately 10% of it's battery (running Android Auto with Google Maps and Spotify). My phone is a Samsung S10+ with quite a large battery - obviously other people's experience will differ depending on what phone they have. I've invested in an anti-slip wireless charging mat which I use if need be. the phone does get warm whilst it's running wireless Android Auto. Not hot to touch or anything like that - just slightly warm. I'm not overly concerned about this. you need to have Bluetooth running on your phone for the AAWireless device to connect to it so if you don't have Bluetooth on permanently then you'll need to remember to activate it each time you get in the car. your phone needs to be running Android 10 or higher for the device to be able to work with it All of the above relates to my model of phone and my NX's Android Auto (retrofit) head-unit software, so other users' experiences may differ. FYI.....due to delays with the manufacturing process (e.g. a shortage of electronic components worldwide), there is currently a significant delay in new orders being despatched. Anyone who orders one today are likely to have to wait until August\September at the earliest before they get their hands on it. Hope this helps.
