You can change the settings so that the doors will automatically unlock when you shift into Park. On the Infotainment screen go to Settings > Vehicle customize > Door control > Auto unlock

Hi Kenny. I haven't seen this before I'm afraid. Just to rule one thing out - do you get this same error when you connect your phone directly to the car with the cable (i.e. taking the AAWireless dongle out of the equation)?

I agree with @Steve Oliver - I have been using the AAWireless device for a couple of years now (I was one of the early adopters) and it has been pretty much flawless . I've used it in my previous 2018 NX300h and now in my 2022 NX350h via a Samsung s10+. The only issue I have had with it is that it drops it's connection to the headunit at the exact same spot on my commute every time (must be due to some outside wireless interference at that location) but then reconnects a few seconds later so it's not a showstopper. It's proven so popular however that there are currently long waiting times for an order so not sure if you would be able to get one before Lexus potentially upgrade the infotainment system to support wireless AA itself. Again, as Steve says, success may depend on the model of your phone so do some research first before ordering. Also be aware that anything on Indiegogo is basically a crowdfunding enterprise. Check out the Comments section of the Indiegogo site that Steve referenced, plus there is a Reddit forum for it - https://www.reddit.com/r/AAWireless/

I don't believe that there is a minimum distance - the last journey in the app for me is showing the short trip (278 yards supposedly) that the mechanic took returning the car to me after the spot weld check. My subsequent journey home from the dealership isn't showing however 🤔

Same for me. Sometimes it's right up to date (in terms of the last journey at least) whilst other times it's a few journeys behind or misses some completely. @hintonwood Not a showstopper but I will be interested to hear what Lexus have to say about it.

I had cause to pop into my local dealership this morning so I asked them to check out the spot welds while I was there. Although my car was showing as not affected on both recall checker sites, it seemed too good an opportunity to pass up. No fault found fortunately. My dealership only received the notification from Lexus on Tuesday and mine was the first one they had checked. NX350h built in early December. Hopefully Lexus are just being over cautious and the problem isn't too much of an issue..

@Marlinleg Talking about the car specifically, it won't matter what SIM provider you choose. I would suggest you choose a provider that meets all your general requirements such as cost, mobile coverage and a package that will give you sufficient amounts of data each month.

@hintonwood many thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've checked my NX (a December build) against the DVLA site you mentioned and also against Toyota's own checker (https://forms.toyota.co.uk/recall-checker?lexus=true) and neither show a recall for mine. I'll keep checking over the next few days. Please keep us up to date with how it goes for you.

Hi Phillip. To answer your questions:- Lexus Link Pro in the new 2022 NX runs off of an in-car SIM card (so totally independent of any SIM card you have in your mobile phone). My understanding is that Lexus offer a 4 year free subscription to the Lexus Link Pro service - after which it will become chargeable. The functionality of this will not be affected by what mobile phone you have or what phone service provider you use. Inbuilt sat-nav systems use GPS to function so in theory you could use both the inbuilt sat-nav and Lexus Link Pro without bringing your mobile phone on a journey. You would only need to use your phone (and it's mobile data) if you wanted to listen to music that is streamed to your phone (and subsequently into the car's audio system via Bluetooth) or wanted to use other phone-based applications via Apple CarPlay for example. [Ignore this last paragraph if you wish - I don't want to confuse matters 😉 Also your iPhone is quite old so may not be able to offer much of this extra functionality anyway] Hope this helps and Happy Easter to you too.

I find that it's better to search for, and then download, the online version of the manuals in PDF format. You can then open them in a PDF reader or your Browser and do simple lookups using the application's "Find text" function (usually via Ctrl-F). You can then take a screenshot of a particular page or section and paste that into a page on this forum to assist others 😉.

You're correct @hintonwood, it's 8 beeps for me too.

My NX, even before the recent 2 price increases, was priced over the £40k threshold. Although I knew about the luxury tax implications beforehand (from sources such as this forum and elsewhere) I wasn't told about this by my dealer or officially by the DVLA when I took ownership of it.

Hi Andrew. I've seen this behaviour reported on the US Club Lexus forum. It was suggested on there that the car emitted these extra beeps when it was parked in a tight spot i.e. when the front or rear of the car was up close to a wall or something similar, and then locked. Maybe it's a proximity warning. I would have been sceptical about this but I can confirm that my NX does this when I park it in my garage which is indeed a tight squeeze. Maybe check this theory when it happens to you in future. Hope this helps.

Hi Ivan. The dealership should be able to tell you this. Who is your dealer? I see you are based in Essex - is it Lexus Woodford? If so then they can definitely give you this information as they were able to give me the name of the ship that my NX came across on. Failing that - maybe try Lexus Customer Relations (email:- cr@lexus.co.uk).

A recent example of the great service I get from Lexus Woodford...... I ordered a cargo mat for my NX from them and received a call from Karolina in the service department to say that it had arrived. "When can I come and pick it up?" I asked. "No problem - you're fairly nearby, I'll get one of the drivers to drop off it to you" came the response. It was dropped off 30 minutes later.

Alan - have you linked your profile to a key fob? Doing this should enable the car to recognise you when you use that fob to unlock the car. If you have your profile set up already I think you can edit it and choose the "Link key" option.

Yeah, it works for me. I just press the double arrow icon on the bottom right hand side of the screen (sorry if you know this already Alan - wasn't sure if your post was a plea for help or just a comment 🙂). By the way, I had a strange one at the weekend where I started the car and the infotainment system loaded the navigation screen but without the usual 6 icons in the right hand margin. Not sure why. I powered the system off and on and it resolved it.

Hi Alan. I'm interested in possibly having the front and rear chrome skirts fitted to my 350h. Are you saying that you had yours fitted by Lexus (Leeds)? I've asked my local dealer about them but they didn't think they were available. Also if it's not too much trouble, would it be possible for you to post a better picture of the rear one please (maybe from straight on)? No rush for this and only if you don't mind. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi John, Prior to taking delivery of my 350h, I was feverishly checking the app to see what the current state of play was. I too received various alerts about doors being unlocked; etc and could see some very minor movement of the car at the dealers (but nothing more than a very short drive). There were no alerts issued from the driving analytics tool at all. FYI - the mileage when I collected the car was just 9 miles. Might be worth mentioning it to the dealer when you collect it.

I have had both colours - Sonic Titanium (ST) on my previous NX and Sonic Grey (SG) on my current one. I liked the ST very much and may well have chosen it again but I fancied a change. The SG is quite dark so be aware of that. Both do tend to change their appearance in different light - the ST more so, due to it being lighter. It's a bit early to tell if the SG hides dirt and grime but I found that the ST did that quite well. Hope this helps.
