  1. The following cable has been trouble-free for me:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PPY9N62/ref=pe_27063361_485629781_TE_item It's a USB to Type C cable so make sure it is compatible with your car and phone first if you want to give it a try.
  2. I agree with all that's been said so far in this thread. The only thing I would add is that the usefulness of the 360 camera - especially the associated side cameras - is reduced somewhat when you fold the side mirrors in. (I totally understand why this is of course because the side cameras move in with the mirrors.) So be aware that if the "tight spot" requires you to fold in the mirrors to navigate through it (like I have to in order to get the car into my garage for example) you'll lose the full functionality of the 360 views.
  3. 1. As others have said - it's probably just some temporary protection for when the car is in transit. Slightly off topic - personally I would be very wary of having the SUPAGUARD option added by the dealer. Adding any kind of protective coating takes time, care and attention to detail - something that I doubt the dealer (or it's contracted partner) is likely to give it. If you can afford the extra cost, I would advise getting it done by a local car detailing company that has good reviews. Just my two pence worth. 2. My 3 year service plan costs me just under £32 per month - for that I'll get 2 minor services and 1 major service plus the first MOT. This cost may vary slightly from dealer to dealer (i.e. different franchises) but at least you now have a ballpark figure. 3. I found Lexus Insurance to be competitive for me so I went with them. I like the fact that they guarantee that any repairs will be done at a Lexus centre using genuine Lexus parts. As others have said, insurance prices are dependant on each individual's circumstances so it might be different for you. No harm in giving them a call (I assume you have the incoming car's registration number so can ask them to quote you on that).
  4. You'll quickly get used to the door handles too. Like the gear selector they will become second nature - so much so that when I'm exiting my wife's Kia I try to open the door in the same way 😕
  5. I'm glad to hear that the visit to the dealership was productive. Obviously aspects like the exterior and interior colours, plus the way each variant feels to drive, are all subjective however one thing I would say is that I wouldn't be too concerned about the drive selector - after a few days it will become second nature. I find that I can operate it now without even glancing down at it. All the best with your final decision - it looks you're not rushing it which is a good thing in the long run.
  6. OK - so that alternative version of the link is still "hit and miss". Not wishing to labour the point but just in case anyone wants to access the link and content, I would suggest cutting and pasting the following directly into their browser's address bar (i.e. don't click on it from within this thread):- https://www.directlinegroup.co.uk/en/news/brand-news/2022/p71-2-million-of-stolen-car-parts-%2D%2Dnumber-plates-and-catalytic%2D.html Note to moderators - I think the "referral" link that the LOC web server adds to URLs is having an adverse effect on this particular URL.
  7. I think it's possible that the amount of dashes (-) in the link is confusing some web browsers. The following version of the link may work:- https://www.directlinegroup.co.uk/en/news/brand-news/2022/p71-2-million-of-stolen-car-parts-%2D%2Dnumber-plates-and-catalytic%2D.html
  8. Just an update on this..... My unit arrived this week so I gave it a runout on my NX and was happy with it's performance. Admittedly (and understandably) it's not as powerful as a mains pressure washer - the power of the stream of water being only slightly better than what you might get from a hose - but it was sufficient for my purposes. What I most like about it is the foam pot attachment (for adding shampoo or snow foam into the mix) and the fact that I can use it whilst the hosepipe ban is in force - although, like Bill, I'll probably use it instead of a hose from now on anyway. Washing the car from start to finish used 1 and a half (standard size) bucketful's. Not sure about the durability\longevity of it but I believe it's from China so who knows 😕
  9. You might want to consider the black and rich cream option. I have this in my 350h and find that it is a good compromise between having something in a lighter shade and durability\staying clean. With regards to wearing jeans - you're mainly sitting on the black portion of the seat so that should help with staining.
  10. I too find this slightly annoying so will take a look at the options presented by @RXtoNX above. In the meantime i use the following voice commands:- "Mute navigation" or "Mute guidance".
  11. I agree that these options are a little confusing however I would suggest that you experiment with the "Dark" and "Darker" options and see what works best.
  12. Hi Graeme, photos attached. As you can see, there is some overlap along the side edges. Hope this helps.
  13. No problem Graeme - I'll get one posted on here in the next day or so.
  14. I transferred the rubber boot liner from my previous 2018 NX300h into my 2022 NX350h and it fits quite well. It's not an exact match as the liner is slightly bigger so it does overlap slightly around the side edges. I don't use it all the time as I have an OEM cargo mat specifically for the 2022 NX but I swap it over when I'm going to be using the boot for large heavy items such as suitcases; child's buggy; etc. and it does the trick. I'd be happy to take a photo of it in situ if it helps.
  15. Hi Bill. Thank you very much indeed for your response - very comprehensive and helpful. Based on your feedback I think I'll order one for myself. Thanks again - it's much appreciated.
  16. Hi Bill, I'm thinking of getting one of these so would be interested to hear what you think of it once you've had a chance to use it.
  17. In my opinion, if you're plugging the phone in to charge it you might as well first unplug the AAWireless dongle temporarily and use Android Auto (AA) in wired mode (via the USB port that the phone is using to charge). That way there will be less of a drain on the phone's battery (wireless AA is a much bigger drain compared to wired) and it will charge faster. If however you want to charge the phone via one port but still run AA wirelessly via the dongle in another port, there may be a way to force AA to run wirelessly by default. In the AA settings on your phone there should be an option to toggle on "Wireless Android Auto". This might work. Hope this helps - sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick here.
  18. Sorry - are you referring to using a second USB port for charging the phone whilst using the AAWireless dongle plugged into the first port for wireless Android Auto? If so..... this would depend on how many and what types of USB ports are installed in your car (i.e. either those that facilitate data transfer or those that are purely used for charging). Typically cars have just one data transfer USB port (and this where the AAWireless dongle should be plugged into) and one or two charging ports. Therefore plugging your phone into a basic charging USB port whilst using the AAWireless dongle in the data transfer port will have no impact on the dongle and Android Auto will continue to run wirelessly. I'm not sure what would happen if both USB ports supported data transfer - although I suspect that Android Auto would switch to wired - but I doubt that you have more than one data transfer capable USB port in the UX. If your question is referring to simply unplugging the AAWireless dongle and then plugging the phone into the same USB port (so as to achieve both Android Auto functionality and charging at the same time) then Android Auto would switch to wired. Hope this helps.
  19. I also have to disagree with you I'm afraid. Having owned a Gen 1 NX, and now a Gen 2, I must say that the Gen 2 comes out on top in most, if not all, aspects of the interior. The Gen 1 interior is very nice but the Gen 2 is a definite step up in terms of comfort, luxury, usability and fit and finish. For example, the infotainment system in the new NX is on a different planet compared to the previous one's clunky touchpad and operating system. I think the only thing I miss from the old NX is the anolog clock but I'm guessing that it probably wouldn't fit in with the modern layout in the new.
  20. Further to Peter's reply with regards to the dotted line - I believe that this may be due to you having "Route trace" turned on in the Navigation settings. Might be worth checking these settings or finding reference to it in the handbook.
  21. No problem, I'm glad it helped. There are a number of other videos posted by the same guy that cover other technical aspects of the new NX. Worth watching for those getting to grips with their new car or those doing research prior to delivery.
  22. The following YouTube video may help you with regards to the cargo load heights:- https://youtu.be/Txkez-e8Pd0 Hope this helps.
  23. Thank you to everyone for the helpful replies and information. Definitely gives me food for thought. Much appreciated.
  24. I received the same survey (from "Talk To Lexus"). I stated that as long as there was no impact on the car's service history or the Relax warranty (when it reaches that age), and that they used genuine Lexus parts, it wouldn't bother me. In fact my dealer (Lexus Woodford) has a Toyota dealership next door (all part of the same franchise) and I suspect they share the same workshop and mechanics.
  25. Me neither. I think the only time I have ever signed any paperwork prior to a service or anything else is when I have had a courtesy car and the documentation given to me to sign was purely related to that. In fact during COVID times my dealership ran a system where you placed your car key into an automated locker and walked away - no human interaction (unless you wanted a courtesy car, which I don't normally do).
