  1. Hi Tom, Its pretty rare for a 2JZ head gasket to go. Actually its very very rare. I've had 4 Supras, and have supplied parts for over 300 customer ones, and have only heard of 1 actually going. The OEM toyota ones are multi-layer metal gaskets! Might be worth a pro looking over it. Theres a few good Supra mechanics down south. Good luck :) Regards, Gareth.
  2. Hi :) Sorry I had it in my head that the fronts were smaller. Well, they are by 1mm if were being picky! How heave are the calipers in comparison to the Supra 4 pots? Regards, Gaz.
  3. Nice! What does the full kit consist of? Will the LS430 calipers bolt right up to a normal Export/UK/USA sized (310mm I think) Supra disc? Regards, Gaz.
  4. Guys, I am looking for a Black (in particular) or Blue Vertex V300. I'd prefer it to have low-med mileage, be as new as possible, be in good nick, and have all the toys like the touch screen, sunroof and leather. If anyone is considering selling theres please give me a shout! Gaz.
  5. Just expressing my interest in this :) Regards, Gaz.
  6. We sell a bit of stuff for the GS, there isn't loads anyway. TBH you'd struggle to run a business just on GS's - they are rare and few of the people that do have them will modify them... Best Regards, Gaz Walker.
  7. Hmmm... interesting. Now where getting somewhere. It could be that horn but I've never heard the alarm on a GS so how could I find out? Gaz.
  8. Hmm, interesting. Mine vibrates slightly when the car isnt in a straight line, at any speed. I havent had them checked over yet but Im going to check the nuts first as Im sure they need tightening. I am unsure if its only happended since fitting the Kahn 19s on her as I only had the stock wheels on 3 days. I'll be able to check if its just the lexus when I put the Kahns on the Supra shortly. Gaz.
  9. Pretty funny Matt. Was looking fine at the time ;) Maybe it disapproves of the passengers or something? Someone must have heard it before or do I have to go the dealers? Gaz.
  10. Steve, Nah, this is louder than the horn but its inside the car. It sounds like the horn but its not. It deffo isnt a normal car noise its a warning buzzer/sounder/something.
  11. Guys, My MK2. GS300 Sport is making a loud "horn" type sound intermittantly - seems to do it every week/10 days for one journey then get a break and it happens again. I cant find any pattern to the noise. Its getting very annoying now. Its not the underbonnet horn, its a different tone altogether and I'm pretty sure it cant be heard from outside the car. There are no warning lights on the dash when it makes the noise. Anyone have any idea what it is? Many thanks in advance. Gaz.
  12. I wonder if anyone is waiting till tommorow to get there car - getting 03/03/03 on the reg doc is pretty cool :) Gaz.
  13. On my MK2 Sport it locks the boot and fuel cap from being opened - for example when the car is being valeted... Gaz.
  14. Diamond Brite is just a damn good wax, thats all. I can (or used to anyway) get packs of it for a tenner and do it myself. Bought a few packs of in initially so never been back for more. Theres several places in my local autotrader that will completely valet the car AND coat it in diamond brite for less than £50. Lexus are ripping people of big style quoting £400! Gaz.
  15. Nice to see a local lad on the list. Regards Gaz Discussions of Gold discounts are not permitted on the public forums! Consider those wrists slapped gazwalker!
  16. Ray, My car doesn't have them neither (RSP '99 T reg GS300 Sport) Gaz.
  17. Thats used to be a BMW joke, good though! Gaz.
  18. I must admit I always feel a bit lost when the BBS's go down! Thanks for sorting it out so quickly Steve :) Gaz.
  19. I see. Time to get the pro's in :D I am alright at doing this stuff but I dont feel confident enough to do this in the lexus (esp having to make my own harness!) I am up in Newcastle but will travel to someone whos done this before. Would any of the companies (or individuals for that matter) like to sort me out? :) Gaz.
  20. Thanks Rodders. My addy is mail@gareth/walker/.com When you say pick up the wires what do you mean - use the stock amp or use the pioneer h/u amp? Will I have to make an ISO adaptor for my car or is something available off the shelf (either here or in the states?) Gaz email edited by me...mat, to stop bots reading the email
  21. Rodders, Thanks for the reply. I dont have Sat Nav. The screen will be up front (everything is built into this 1-din unit, on board amp et al). The NAV, changers etc will all be running in the boot off the Pioneer IP bus system so it shouldn't be a problem? All I need to know is how to connect the headunit up to the speakers either via the stock amp or the internal Pioneer h/u amp... Anyone? Cheers :) Gaz.
  22. Hi there, What I want to do is detailed in my post, I want to fit a Pioneer in-dash screen as the headunit and want it to work with all the factory wiring if possible... Im hoping the Lexus has a similar system to my Supra where its simply an autoleads harness bypasses the stock amp so you can plug the H/U straight in to the stock speakers... Gaz.
  23. Hiya Fellas, Well, Ive it now, my lovely MK2 GS300 Sport is sitting outside :) Id like to run a few questions by some of the audio and electronics guys on here. To be honest the stereo in the GS is fantastic for a stock system, but Ive always loved my stereos and feel in can always be improved upon. What Id like to do is fit the following: Pioneer AVMP6400CD Pioneer DVD Changer Pioneer CD Changer Pioneer DAB Tuner Pioneer Nav System Dension MP3 thingy But to be honest I'm not fussed about the rest of the system. My screen has a 4x50w tuner in it or I could use the stock amp. I've had a look through this forum and it seems hardly anyone has changed the system in a GS in the UK. I am after more choice with the stock system (cd, dvd, nav etc) - not bothered about the rest of the sound, as I said I am quite happy with it although the mids sound a bit dull. Autotoys sell a nice faceplate now, but what do I need to either bypass the stock amp using the headunit or wire the headunit to the amp? Help would me much appreciated... Gaz.
