Winter Tyres make an incredible difference.......
.........you still got that vid of you outside your house on ice knitware......stick it on....
-
I was of the Understanding that Lexus were gonna be scrapping diesel altogether and just going Petrol Hybrid
-
Join the revolution instead......use a cd ;-)

My GS had a terrible sqeak from drivers seat......Lexus relieved me of £80 to fix the issue by removing some bits of plastic that align the seat during manufacture....or something along those lines.
Creaks and rattles from the passenger side dashboard I have given up with....not noticed it as being the glovebox, more from around the front speaker area......notice it more in winter.

Well...Update...
...before checkin in with Lexus I decided to wait and finish tank of fuel off,
Reason being, last time I filled up was on the way back from the Lakes, at a small village, 1 Pump, Garage Affair..
,,,you know the sort with 1950's pumps with bells a spinny things.
Filled up last week with some "cosher" fuel foolishly thinking maybe it was dodgy fuel that caused the issue.
.......after 50 miles on the new tank the Lights went out....and the car has been fine for about a week.
...so.......Could dodgy fuel have caused "check VSC" ???????????

Xmas Lights are back on Again
-
Your sitting comfortably Knitware.....you had a new ecu didn't you.........
.........have you got the winter tyres at the ready? :winky:
-
OK....I'll buy that............
-
So.....your Lexus decides to throw a wobbly.
....Maybe it needs a new Oxygen sensor
.....Maybe it's an ECU Problem
....Maybe the fuel cap is dodgy....
But for the love of god, why does Lexus suddenly decide to turn off your traction control???
What's all that about then?
-
On the GS I have you need to change manually Daylight Saving time - ON/OFF twice a year
-
Well I'll Be a Monkeys Uncle!!!!
...As I said.. read on American forum about driving 3 miles with the Fuel cap Off......
So, Just loosened the Cap to fullest extent and shut the flap......drove 4-5 Miles with said xmas lights on and no Traction control......(which was quite good fun on a couple of lonely roundabouts :winky: )
Stoped the car.....tightened up the cap a few clicks.....got back in....tentively started the car......opened eyes ...and to my surprise.....all the Xmas Lights were still there...and no traction control
Got home with the intention of calling Lexus to book it in....turned off........though sod it!!!....turned back on......NO LIGHTS!!!!........turned off....turned on NO LIGHTS!!!!!.....drove off again for 3 miles and stoped and started twice........NO LIGHTS!!!!!
Could this really have rectified the Issue?
,,.........watch this space

Will Let you know how this one progresses...............
Yesterday "Check VSC" Engine Light and Brake Light Lit up early for XMAS....
Not had chance to book into Lexus yet......just hoping it's not a "ECU" issue other wise I will be parking this car up Mr toyoda's Arse. :tsktsk:
Have Read on American Forum that it could be a fuel Cap Issue (Dought it very much
)
Maybe it just needs ANOTHER FKin Oxygen sensor.......
Can't say I will be buying another Lexus........the latest Ford/Vauxhalls have all the gadgets, are cheaper to buy/run, and may not be more reliable!!!
Will Keep you all posted............
-
Dought very much that they will do anything now dude.....
,,,,....Your not the only one though......just come back from the Lakes, going over some of the passes I thought the whole dash was gonna fall on my knee.......sounds terrible...........Old Mark 11 never squeaked or rattled ever.....and that was 10 Years Old..............Dissapointing isn't it

Hi Knitware...
I Remember seeing a step by step with pictures procedure for fitting the seat clips.....think it must have been on this forum somewhere....will get back to you if I find it.
Out of interest how much did you pay for these items.
Rgds, Tony.

Hi All....
Has Anybody tried to have an accessory socket (ciggy lighter socket) Fitted into the boot, must admit I was surprised there isn't one in the boot. Any idea how to go about this, or is it something Lexus can Install?
(Want to power a small chilling unit recently purchased)
Rgds, Tony.
