  1. Mine just popped straight out mate, same way by pulling back the inner wheel arch. ok ill give it another go so. Did u totally remove the inner arch or just pull it back a bit?
  2. Trying swap the front fog light bulbs but they dont want to come out. Im trying to take them out from behind, inside the wheel arch, disconnected the cable, the bulb only turns a few degrees but wont come out. I see one or 2 screws, do these have to be removed too?
  3. Ok i dont know much about audio im still a noob! The only Sony amp i can find in similar price range is this one But its all about the bass with me so im sure i can tweak around with the HU fro some mid range!
  4. I ordered a set of rear mintex pads for my rs200 and they sent me out these Lucas trw pads? Anybody know if these are the same quality as the mintex or was i sent the wrongs ones?
  5. ive seen better results from a 120 Euro valet! Spend 2 days valeting your car im sure we could all do the same if not better! It would be cheaper to get a full respray!
  6. Make sure if your only using the standard car jack that you use some axel stands too, just to be safe. make sure you give them a good sanding before youstart painting. I gave mine 2 coats, gives it a better quality finish than just one coat did. We have a hydralic lift in work that lifts cars on the four jack points so the 4 wheels came off at once. :P Did the prep work, cleaner - wipe with towel - wirebrush - wipe - emery paper - paint - wait 20mins - paint 2nd coat, dry 30+ hours in hanger. So should be good by 1800 tomorrow when I finish work. I also sprayed the rear hubs with engine bay heat paint (black) to really contrast the red! Just got to put the decals on next week then lacquar = Job done. It looks sweet now! should be even better when dry. I'll post some pics. Cheers for the advice tho! AMcT ;) Wish i had one of those hydraulic lifts in work! My knees are still recoverying
  7. Have you installed one successfully before on a Altezza Ian, If so this would be worth getting. Cheap way to delimit the engine!
  8. All this baby talk! Am i the only Irish Altezza owner that doesn't have any kids?! i better get modifying so, before i get married! Congrats to all with new borns so, hope everything is good. We should organise a meet within the next few weeks so, try and get a few more members together. there will be plenty of notice for everyone that needs to get the wife's permission/baby sitter organised/ engines sorted! We should try organise a location central to everyone, it doesn't have to be Dublin
  9. Im sure he meant after returning from a rolling road in France, thats where he did 125mph! :winky:
  10. That has to be based on true events! no way someone could make that up! :P
  11. You could have blown some fuses, One of my previous post shows which fuses control what, check that it might be something as simple as that. i blew the fuse for the cigarette lighte when i hooked an amp up to my standard HU look here
  12. Make sure if your only using the standard car jack that you use some axel stands too, just to be safe. make sure you give them a good sanding before youstart painting. I gave mine 2 coats, gives it a better quality finish than just one coat did.
  13. It took me 5 hours to paint my calipers. Be prepared for a day of back breaking labour on your knees!
  14. I got the car lowered 50mm on Apexi coilovers with adjustable damping, the brakes are stock discs with Mintex pads all round. So brakes and suspension are great. At that speed on a damp A road and it is 50/50 with a pheasant, the pheasant gets it mate. I ain't going in a ditch or hitting a lorry coming the other way for any poxy bit of wildlife apart from a deer perhaps :winky: New screen fitted this morning so all sorted out now, and thanks to all for the kind words. Glad you got things sorted. I suppose i cant slag, i reversed into a wall last week! :o
  15. He must be compensating for soemthing else!
  16. Hi Stuart, Finally got my amp and sub hooked up to the standard HU. However if i have both left and right speaker inputs hooked up to the line level convertor, its sounds so bad, so with one disconnected its fine. Must have a miswire somewhere!. Anyway i have my bass for now. I already bought a new headunit, just waiting on a new 4 channel amp to arrive then, im sticking in new speakers all round and new wiring! So this is just a temporary fix. One thing i noticed, my sub sounds louder with the boot actually open. Its not a ported box, and not properly secured to the boot, maybe this is causing the problem
  17. Um...yes it is mate, my speedo says 120 mph when it kicks in but, like I said the GPS is at 112 mph. Convert 112 to K's and you will get, give or take 180. And also how do you know it was 200 kph as the speedo only goes to 180 :winky: The speedo went to 180kmh and went past it a bit. My clock is in kilometers. I double check it again but i remember coming close to 180kmh and was waiting for limiter to kick in and it didnt. The needle kept going another few cm then it kicked in. Mines a 1999, maybe different to your Mac
  18. try here. Click on the Apex link on the left them browse the electronics section. or here on ebay, you will need to get it fitted professionally And actually, its not limited to 180kmh, Mac(well mine isnt, got about 200kmh out of mine before limiter kicked in)
  19. i would take dat as a lesson lernt mate just one of dose fings. ***** when it actually happens to yaself. hope ya didnt lose too much money!!! What was that in English? Ive got a spare set that could go to a good home......make me an offer if your interested. pm sent Kazi
  20. Hey guys, not sure how many Irish members the is on this site, Ive only had interaction with a handful so far: Noel, Dizz,Elexes. (Sorry if i forgot anyone!) I met up with Dizz a few weeks ago, had a chat and compared motors. However, i've seen so many Altezzas on the roads over here since i got mine, not sure whether they are members or not. My uncle owns a jap import place and he is says that the altezzas are his biggest import at the moment. So where are all these people hiding? Anyway i was wondering is there any meets over here im not aware of? If theres none we should try organise some. Me and Dizz were talking about getting a gang together and going to a rolling road(maybe to in Ireland!) and see what these Altezza's are pushing out(on crappy Irish unleaded 95!) Maybe moderators could add a section for Irish members, as the tuning scene aint as big over here. So any comments or ideas about meets are welcomed
  21. Couldn't find all the bits I'm fine mate, not really a shock as I saw it coming luckily. Saw it coming? some better suspension and brakes and all of this could have been avoided!!!!! :winky:
  22. looking for these too, cant find them on ebay, cant find that member either, anyone know where i can get them?
  23. Thanks for your help BT, do you think this amp would power the 4 speakers in question? pioneer 4 channel amp
