  1. Do all you lads from Kerry have guns? Its just a small car show based on the idea of Hot Import Nights in the US. A load of modified motors, strobe lights, neons and chicks lezzing it out on the bonnets! Its ok nothing huge. Last year the was a huge illegal donutiing session going on in the field car park. One of the Organisers got run over by a colt! I have some footage i can try upload somewhere! We could meet before it or at it because it starts at about 5pm till 9-10pm. Theres usually huge cruises afterwards. we could show them Type R boys whose boss!
  2. Got a price for a set of Tein adjustable coilovers from Tuning Factory in Dublin, 850 plus fitting. Would i be better off getting some lowering springs and ARB's, just wanting to improve the handling of this RWD monster :shutit:
  3. How much we looking at Noel and how likely is it i can get this work done in Ireland reliabley? Preferably the cheapest option! Maybe just need a price on parts. My uncles place could maybe fit it
  4. Think coilovers might be better, you can adjust the stiffness on them :) oops there I go again, spending other peoples money. I knew I was picking up the missus bad habits So with coilovers you dont need to get lowering springs? How much you looking at for these and which ones would your missus recommend?
  5. Thanks i thought the SE was better performance than the standard IS200 They are all the same mate Totally off topic again but People seem to be replying quick tonight! does anyone know how much extra BHP a Turbo or s/c would give an RS00?

hi fanners from wexford would like to know a bout your altezza please thanks hope it will fit ive read that reply 4 or 5 times now and im not sure what ur after but u might be intrested in http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=36587 I'd go for an uprated clutch, TRD or something similar. Might cost a bit extra but well worth it i'd say
  8. Just checked Ocober edition of Modified motors and an article in there said Sat 4th Nov. I thought this date was correct. maybe its changed? Ah you may be right then, found it here, it says the flying date has changed. Either way, sorry to say I won't be able to make it over. I'll give you all a shout when were heading over next year. So maybe it is changed to this date? Ah well we'll sort something out. Im up for a meet any time, PM me whenever your over
  9. I got mine from SDA in Norwich (Sweet briar industrial estate) £185 which is retail price from the eibach website. £50 for geom £150 for fitting You can prob get it cheaper, but it was the only place that would do for me! The car looks soooo much better and the ride is smoother (on good roads that is!) Was planning on getting these too but after scraping the stock sides going over a ramp tonight with 5 in the car i dont think its safe. Are these springs stiffer than the standard ones? If so these might solve my bump issues!
  10. just curious how much BHp is a standard is200 SE sport?
  11. its a pain in the *****. Do a search im sure its been covered before Fed up searching mate cant find a definitive answer, thanks. maybe try this thread here/ Also have a look throught the GS300 section. since i dont have one im not the best man to help. Its probably the same principle as the Rs200. Basically you can try get an ISO adapter to connect you new HU to existing wiring, but to the best of my knowledge, for the cars with external amplifiers, yo u cannot get an ISO adapter. You will need to get a new facia plate, try ebay. In my car the rear speakers cannot be used with a new HU(different Ohmage or something!) So you will have to replace thye existing speakers and get an aftermarket amp to get the most from the new speakers. Maybe im wrong about your model. Hopefully a GS300 owner will come along and advise

  14. I havent actually replaced my 6x9's. But im sure new ones about 300 or 400w sound give you more bass. i think that hooking up the factory rears to a different amp could blow them. You can get bass boxes like this that fit under the front seats.maybe stick 1 under each seat! And maybe some 6x9's like this would give you some good bass
  15. You could mount a small sub behind the center armrest in the rear :P I've seen it done on this site somewhere. I'd replace the standard 4 rear speakers with a decent set of aftermarket 6 x9's the woofers are only 25watt. replacing the rear speakers is easy once you know how. Follow the guide on here. i'd run the new 6x9's off the amp and front off the new HU. Thats just my opinion
  16. Mr Morse has some trd ARB'S for sale. I have a Apexi power intake and aluminium box on my Rs, adds a few bhp, sounds angry! Not sure what difference it would make with a supercharger.
  17. If your still trying to fix your window, search for the guide in the workshop section for upgrading front speakers. This tells you how to remove the door card. On my last car one of the screws that holds the window onto the electric window thingy :P , came out and the window wouldnt open or close properly
  18. Im interested in this for my RS too! Sorry for being a noob but whats a camcon? Could you buy an aftermarket ECU to improve the lack of low torque? If so are they pricey and how much difference do they make. cant really afford a supercharger at the mo
  19. Theres a car show on in the Swords Exhibition Center(Cool Nights) on Nov 4th, we could meet up before or after this. Anyone interested?
  20. Do you have a link to a site a can order some from?
  21. I've currently finished 50sq ft. I have another 50sq ft with which i will finish the floor, the doors, the rear shelf (double sided) the boot lid and perhaps double up on the roof with a few more sheets. I still have a few bits (about 5sq ft) to do in the boot, but then the rest will be used to double up on essential bits. I'm not saying that i've got enough to finish the job, but i'll just have to buy some more if it is the case. :) If anyone is interested in how much of an improvement this has made... my opinion is that it has already made a drastic improvement... and that's without any audio equipment... road noise is down to a very low hummmmm...... :D Another quick question: What size rolls did you buy and how much are they each? i plan on doing the boot, rear shelf and doors, dont think i'd have the patience to do anymore!
  22. How many rolls of Dynamat did it take to do that? It looks like the inside of a space ship or something!
  23. Monster-Mat, I thought that their were 4 speakers on the back board, 1 set speakers and 1 set subs or similar? I am looking at the wiring diagram for the IS300 (been told the same set-up for the IS200) and it shows the back is made up of a rear Speaker and a woofer on either side with 4 set of cable running to the stock-Amp. know i am confussed would i be able to wire up the amp to the back bottom set of speakers or not? or would i have to replace them? Dibslpg Hey Dibs what i did was, take the wires off the woofer part of the bottom rear speakers, its the wires you can see if you look from the boot. If your amp has a high level inputs you can wire the factory L+R cables straight to this(your amp should have came with this wire. Then run new cables out of your amp into your speakers. What i did was hook a subwoofer up to my amp so plenty off bass now coming from the factory wiring. Not sure if this what you meant. My plan is to run an 2 RCA leads from my soon to be installed new HU(just waiting on new amp to arrive)to 1 2 channel amp for the sub then a 4 channel amp to power all the new speakers im going to put in. Ill try make a liitle guide as i go along
  24. Mine just popped straight out mate, same way by pulling back the inner wheel arch. ok ill give it another go so. Did u totally remove the inner arch or just pull it back a bit? ok one came out fine the other broke in my nmy hand so its stuck in the holder :o so any ideas how i remove the whole fog unit?
