  2. So i im trying to picture what your on about Craig, Im not sure what you mean "against the seat". Do you mean secure them on to the back of the seats? or something different? Heres what im thinking you mean:
  3. ooh interesting wats the spec on these?
  4. Ye it was hard to get my hands on for a reasonable price. I could only get one though. Maybe when the box is delivered i can try copy its dimensions and make an amp enclosure to match on the other side. That would be exactly what i want to do!
  5. Cool Niraj, Thanks for the pointers, ive being trying to come up with a few designs myself but still clueless!
  6. Story Dizz, Tein do some and TTE i think, ill see if i can find any links. Any meets these days? heres one link, its from the states though.
  7. Man thats great bit of info there but unfortunately ill be using a stealth sub box like so i cant really use the way you did yours ill have to try and come up with something else so! Cheers anyway Craig
  8. Ok i could get it fitted by Lexus! So im currently with Hibernian are these the best company to insure the car with SC installed or is there other companies that would be better?
  9. i was thinking the same. i wanna try and make it so i can still easily access the spare wheel, by just having to unscrew a few bolts. Aint going to go all out with suede cover panels etc! just want to keep things out of the way and safely secured
  10. I seriously thinking about adding a supercharger or Turbo to my Rs200. My main worry is getting it insured with this modification. Does anyone know if i could get it insured in Ireland with this mod and how much roughly my insurance would go up. Im currently paying 2100 Euro
  11. OK so im not the best at designing stuff like this I was looking for places to mount the amps to the metal floor of the boot close to the rear seats. Would i have to drill holes into the floor to secure them? I cant see any other options. Has anyone got any before and after pics of their install showing how they secured them? Is MDF the best material to use to build the false for? Im currently using a 12mm sheet.
  12. I kind of like them like that! Nice and safe! But where could i stick the amps out of the way, minimising lost boot space
  13. Hey guys so in the middle of upgrading my audio system. HU changed, Speakers changed, Subwwofer and 2 amps. Currently at a loss as how best to mount the amp and 2 subs into my boot without taking up too much room. I have a stealth sub box ordered so thats the sub problem solved but the 2 amps are just sort of " in the way " at the moment! Comments/recommendations welcome! And the HU:
  14. Ok lads, i know its early but do we want to start confirming who will be able to make it for this meet? Ive already had a few meets with a few members already(manic-motorz.com !), but it would be nice to get a good gang together! The more the merrier! So get posting
  15. a nice aero front grill would fit in nicely :)
  16. definetly interested, could probably get a few more people but mostly irish based, would this be a problem?
  17. Man, i dont mean to be copying you, but ive been searching for this bumper too! Does anyone know what side skirts they are and what make the alloys are, it all goes together really nice on this car in the pic if u ask me! Most of the Altezza in Ireland come in with this front bumper on them. Yhe only thing i dont like about them is the Altezza logo on the bit in the middle(sorry Dizz!)
  18. I still have my original one. bottom loading one. No ERR3 message!
  19. I wish i could affoed a new car! ps Welcome!
  20. Your the man Stav! Metal coat hanger you say? I could see that workin! I hate the way it gets dark so early. Cant do fook all in the dark
  21. Ok trying to run the speaker cables through the door into the rubber loom between the car and door. cant seem to get it through is there any easier way to get the cables into the car?
  22. Ye its just an extension loom that clips on to your factory wiring. It means you dont have to cut up your factory wiring, just this extension loom. I got one off Fargo but it doesnt fit my car. i think its only for 2002 models onwards. mine is for sale if ur interested. PM me for a price. this isnt the satnav bypass model by the way
  23. Did u need to use any washers so that the rivets sit in right? There was plastic factory ones there but i kinda wrecked them taking out the old speakers
  24. Just in the middle of upgrading my front speakers, have everything done except securing the speakers to the door. Orginally they were riveted in to the door, this were drilled out to remove the old ones. How do i secure the new ones in? Ive re-used the old plastic mount. Should i just rivet them in again, I have a rivet gun lying around work somewhere
