    Does your headunit have a button for tv? Does this work and do you use it often? There is a way to take the wires from the tv tuner thats mounted in the boot and hook up a dvd player. I was interested in this a while ago since my car is a jap import and the tv tuner doesnt tune in fook all! There was a thread a while back i was discussing this with Taz_No1, ill see if i can find a link to that for you. Thats the only way i know how to get a dvd player playing through the sat nav screen

    Bad throttle response could be caused by a dirty or faulty MAF sensor on the airbox. Exhaust system should be the same as an IS200, if not you can source some center section from either Prolex in the UK. In Ireland maybe try couture auto in Dunboyne

    wow didnt think they were that expensive, saw one on ebay for 280 euro!! Think ill just stick to the standard battery!

    Hmmm never noticed that, had one on my last sony HU though. I'll be hooking up 2 amps. Should i use 2 seperate wires or just split the one between the 2 amps? Should i have seperate power cables and earth points for the 2 amps?

    If your car is still inder warranty and you modify it without it being done by an approved Lexus dealer it will more than likely void any warranty you have on the sat nav and audio system and anything else you r modifications could affect. The only garantee you would have is from the company that install your new equipment, and if your thinking of doing it yourself...... bye bye warranty! Just my opinion

    sorry to hear that, Old people should not be allowed drive! Its called a legana bumper, which is an optional extra on the altezza in japan. looking for one myself, havent seen them around. You can get them from japan i think, but your looking at big money

    Got my wire today, should get it fitted as soon as i get my replacement HU from Pioneer next week. I'll need tofind a new point to hook up the remote amp wire because i presume the current wire im using will lose its power as soon as i plug the connector out from the factory amp.

    why would they not be the same ? They are exactly the same, i think only the IS300 lights are different. go to any lexus dealer and you should pick them up, only different would be colour ie smoked, chrome, black.If you PM a member called Noel he lives in Kerry too. and should know where u can source them locally

    Basically just a laptop with a PCMCIA GPS card that slots into you lappy, Easiset solution but where do you keep the laptop so you can view it easily. On your passenger seat??

    If you ring up a Lexus dealer they should have a list of all colours available for a 99 iS200 which will be the same for Altezzas. The one is DeansGrange is the best

    Yes they do exist, there is a new one just out. Ask your dealer, he should be able to find out more about it. Lexus UK seem to keep to want to keep it a secret that updated navigation CD's and DVD's actuallyy exist. Yes but as far as i know the uk disxc doesn't cover the republic of Ireland.

    Good point but if he cant get a disk for Ireland, he could go down the after market route. If you try Carroll and Kinsella Lexus in Deansgrange. I've found them the most helpful Lexus dealers in Dublin

    Think my battery needs to be replaced, should i just go pick 1 up from Halfords for a Lexus IS200 or is the some brands that are better than others. I currently have 2 amps running off the battery, roughly 2000watts in total. Should i get a bigger battery to cope with the extra draw?

    best bet still talk to your local Lexus dealer. i think new discs cost about 200 Euro, better option might be to buy a Tom Tom or Garmin, pick them up for around the 300 Eurp mark these days, and would be ten times better than the lexus nav

    So just a quick update on the situation, went back to the retailer to see if they have any news on my damaged head unit. The guy said, the guy from Pioneer said that he thinks the headunit got damaged because of a lose earth connection on one of my amps, which meant that the amp wasnt grounded properly so it used the RCA's as a grounding point which burnt out the earth print on the RCA's on the HU which caused the interference. So lesson learned... always make sure your amps power and earth connections are all good before you connect them up to your HU

    And while on the topic of cleaning whats the best stuff to use to clean the filth out of the engine bay? i was just checking things out under there its filthy, hasnt got a good cleaning since i bought it!

    Hi guys just curious do i need to celan my Apexi Power Intake airfilter? Bored in work and looking for some quick maintenance jobs to do on the car. Do i need any special type of cleaner??
