Got me thinking about doing similar!!

i took my altezza down to my local tunning clinic today and eventually got it plugged in and the codes that came up were

P1663- ocv circuit malfunction wich im told means oil control valve ?

P0710- T/m fluid temp sensor wich im told means transmission fluid tem sensor?

can anyone tell me were the transmission fluid sensor is located and also the OCV/oil control valve as ill check these and replace if needed.

also im needing the sizes of the front belts on the altezza as they are worn and need replaced if anyone nows , thanks scott

Not sure about the codes but what belts are you on about? Timing belt/power steering belt/ alternator belt?

After looking into what I should replace my current Vredersteins Ultracs tyres with, I found the Toyos Proxes T1-R to have a better all round rating.

Look on mytyres.co.uk and you can view the test results of each tyre.

Toyo T1-R's seemed to have gotten a better review from tyretest.com and they are cheaper, 121 Euro delivered from eiretyres.com. Trip to the Doctor is on the cards fro me over the summer as i got new coilovers and strut braces fitted and some arb's on the way. Maybe a mini road trip of irish members is in order!

Try here. as a cost effective solution.

Elexes has one on his car, well he had one mounted at the rolling road day

my traction control is flashing when driving, even when off, but im not loosing grip on the rear or anything like that, just sometimes comes on and i need to stop the car and restart for it to go away , any ideas , cheers

i had this prblem when i installed my apexi rsm. The wiring wasnt long enough so i extended the wiring into car. I cut the wires in work, drove home to finish it but all the way home the TRC light was on and another warning light, the car was running in limp mode and the car was just crap to drive. finished the wiring and problem solved. Maybe an ECU issue. try resetting it.

have you done anything to the car recently? service/induction kit/ spark plugs? sounds like a fuelling issue. maybe give the MAF sensor and Inlet valve a cleaning and check ur air filter. try resetting ur ECU and see if that helps

I've phone Tein, They don't have stock of the basic Tein coilovers. Even if they do they only have the Tein SS with upper mounts and that the end of June. Ive tried Elite in rainham, which is also a tein mechant, still have no stock. Im willing to spend around 500 pounds.

might know some places over here that have them in stock but not sure how much the shipping will be to the UK, might be cheaper to get the Ferry over and pick them up yourself!!

maybe there an optional extra MAC? Mine is the z edition, maybe they come as standard on the L edition. What model is yours?

My seats currently dont have airbags, will the wiring be there in my car for them?

Are you sure cos mine has.

well from looking at my seats there is no visible signs of airbags. as far as i can remember, the airbag has a plastic covering running down the side of the seat with srs airbag written on it? am i right i saying this

yep they will mate, all you need to do is run a fused power to each of the seats, the rest is already contained within the seat.

connect up the airbag, and paddys your Uncle

Can anyone advise me where I can get new shocks. As my shocks are starting to make a sqeeking noise on the front and the back is starting to sink down. Just after normal ones, nothing special. Im based in the London. :D

Factory ones or aftermarket? You can pick up a Basic set of Tein coilovers for about 450 i think. factory replacement would probably be double that!

tbh i was looking at doing this but theres alot of work and money needed too convert it all. i went with the easier option and changed the screen in the housing. you can see what i mean in my registry. :)

Hi Sam How did you get the Screen into the orginal motorised housing? I have a jap factory sat nav screen just sitting there waiting to be replaced. What screen did u use and where di du get it? Is is hard to swap? Ive already replaced the factory HU

was thinking of upgrading my altezza speakers but need to find out the size of the front speakers in the door card , anyone now

6.5 inch in the front 6 x 9's in the rear. Not sure what size the tweeters are

they are 18's...

cant decide on if i want to lower it yet, not sure on how it will handle or if it will make it an umcomfortable ride.

i originally wanted the gunmetal ones but they wouldnt fit so went 4 the black.. wasnt sure when i first saw em out the box but happy with em on!

now i gotta take em off again n paint the calipers.. now what colour should i do that!! :duh:

id say silver or red calipers. they dont look like 18's, think thats becasue of the style, with the smaller center section and deeper dish
