Buy the lead, i butchered up my standard wiring trying to find the correct cables, much better,easier,safer connections with the amp bypass lead from eBay

Just a few questions I would like answering

1. It need new wipers I assume these are the same as the IS200 and any IS200 ones will fit !

2. Would like to upgrade the head light bulbs possibly to HIDs are they the same as the IS200 too ???

3. it has a HKS panel filter in there and HKS has ***** filtration where can I get Apexi one ??

1. if its just the wiper blades your after, yes the is200 one fit

2. bulbs are the same

3. ive an apexi panel filter in mine but mate has HKS one in his an he has no complaints. I got my Apexi one from Couture auto not sure who sells them in the UK

Word of warning i heard the guy that runs that place is a bit of a prick, don't expect any sort of warranty or NCT. Make sure the engine thats in it is the 3s-ge and not the 1g-fe which is the slower one. I'd ring him before you go up to make sure he still actually has one in stock, his ads are known for not being up to date

Very unusual looking 'Tezza that is. Whatever the verdict of the colour, it certainly looks good and suits it in my opinion.

Also a very subtle front bumper as well, I like that!

Must admit I'm really rather taken with that and if I could get insured on one of them, you'd probably find me buying one lol :)

Why cant you get insured one surely it would be the same insurance as an supercharged IS?

Well wen i got the car the fogs didnt work, got garage to check it was heated an melted an all sorts, but the connector thats attached to the wire is fine, wire was a bit loose but guy fixed it, but it was just the whole fitting, the 9005 bulb which is the same as 9006 cannot fit into that holder on that side as it has like a completely different design to the rest of the holders on the car, its like a big fat chunk inside an it just takes a different bulb, i duno the bulb number as its currently fitted and i cant get into it without ramping it up.

But hey, thank you very much! I will fone lexus and ask if they can supply me with this or even do a search online. Thanks a lot man, i appreciate it.

No bother mate you dont need to put the car up on a ramp to get at the fog bulbs, you can get to the fogs if you remove the whell arch liner. Theres some plastic pop screws that you need to take out first them just gently pull the liner towards you. You shouldnt be paying people to change your light bulbs!

definitely not standard interior, looks like it been treated to a re-trim, same with the color don't believe that is a factory Toyota colour, if so I've never seen it before!

rear lights i've never seen, rare side skirts and haven't seen that front bumper or grille before. Looks good though!

I got xenon effect bulbs for my fogs an got my garage to fit them in. The only problem is the conector/bulb holder for the passenger side is different than the rest, is that normal?! The bulb i have will not fit in that holder, its fitted fine on the driver side. Does anyone know where I could get this bulb holder? Or what the part number/ID is? I hope I haven't confused anyone if ive not explained the part right. Its a brown clip thing into which the bulb fits into.

my lexus is a V reg 2000 model is200 SE Auto.

Any suggestions??

They should be indentical on both sides, maybe previous owner had to replace it for some reason or else yours has melted due to water damage maybe. I'll try get you a part number for it from my mate that works in Toyota.

I'm going to try a new plan of attack on Saturday. I have been pressing the clip in, but haven't been able to hold a torch and get a screwdriver held at the same time, in order to prise the plug out. Hopefully with more light, I'll have more joy.

If there are any Smurfs around your area, might be worth throwing them a few quid to try, if no smurfs available, maybe some local kids with smaller hands!

i managed to pop my dash forward a bit on the left side and this gave a bit more room. Badly cut my hand to when doing so, i think its like a "Right of passage" fore replacing your headunit!

just got my hand of the stock ori air filter box..... was looking at the filter box, noticed that there are a few small inlets where u need to insert the vacuum hoses.....

was wondering, is there any steps/special arrangements for the hoses (i presume its vacuum hoses)...... or can i just simply connect the hoses to the inlets?

had a similar problem before i couldnt remember where the hoses were connected to. I did ask something similar a wjile back maybe have a search for it. If i cant find it ill take some pictures for you in the morning if you like

Well the person i know he has done many cars and said if it stops working after 6 months then you have to open it up and send it back again and that could be frustrating. Surprised not many people have this installed on the is200 unless its coz of the problem that i mentioned.

Have them on mine for about 3-4 months too no problems yet. reason why more people haven't done this mod is, is its a lot of work and you can mess your lights up if your not too careful. You are kind of screwed if they stop working, open them up and replace them
