  1. SO what is happening with the folding mirrors.

No lexus in North america has power folding mirrors. We are tooo fat and drive land cruiser stlye vehicles on 5 lane roads to need more space.

I have bought the jdm mirrors to add to my NA ES 300/windom/camry.

Finally got the mirrors 5 months ago ,then realized i also needed a relay to operate them as well. Luckly i don't have to use teh button from toyota as it is only a momentary gorund output anyway ( i can use a regular switch).

Finally got the relay from a jdm avalon today and have to figure out the rest of the wiring to the relay as i know what wires except for 4 (out of 22) on the mirrors do ,the relay has 11 ,i know one of them has to be ground. And the power mirrors switch has 8 and i have figured that out with the help of a NA schematic from my lexus service manuals.

If anyone has any ideas on the wiring i would love to know.

  2. This is a comon answer on our North american site of LOC

but try looking for cracks or holes on you intake pipe .It is teh black pipe from teh air filter to teh manifold that is ribbed. Usually causes the engine to run lean if there is a hole after the MAF . Another common problem is teh iacv /idle air control valve it gets carbon and wont stay running unless you hold teh gas slightly.

How is the fuel pump pressure ,air and fuel filter and gas

Also try cleaning the maf just incase it can cause the same problem when dirty

  3. any channce you might have a manual showing the wiring for the mirrors?

I know what teh 5 plug harness controls ( up/down left right and heated mirrors)

but the other 7 pin harness is another story

we don't have it in northamerica and i have no clue as it would be in japanese otherwise.

i think i need to get the relay to run them also

    thanks

btw i prefer teh handbrake over the foot brake

i also notcied teh jdm ones have the side markers and a flip switch on the center vent which we don;t have.

  4. it doesn't sounds like it

    it might be a wire

    loose

but it is hard to say exactly the problem as i am not even sure what it is trying to say with the above fault

it just might be the tranny selector is not engaging all teh way all teh time

a condition that can be caused by the engine mounts also

but it still affects teh tranny

do the ligths on the dash show the proper selection of gears all teh time?

  5. what year is the car ?

and i do not know of a chip behind any radio

or any link bettween the keless trunk and cigarette lighter

there is a switch in the glove box that locks out the trunk to not open unless with the key though

the lighter might just be a fuse

  6. the mounting kit is from a company called metra in the U.S.

it only hold the radio int eh oversized space

the amp for the radio is located under the passenger seat

try getting an amp first to fix it

    what is wrong with yours

also check all teh fuses including teh ones int eh engien bay not just under the dash

  7. wow i have never heard of a cruise control that hasa cut off

my canadian 94 runs and cruises at 140km no problem just sit back and steer

the radio would have to be replaced

try getting an american unit if they have the same frequency steps as you guys

you might just need to get a new cruise control ecu which may help check with the dealer

  8. clean the intake plenum with a throttle body cleaner and then run a fuel injector cleaner

after the car is warm it closes the cold bypass for the intake which will cause teh car to die if blocked by carbon and oil varnish from the pcv valve

  9. get your mony back they are not worht $1 or even peso

short pipes only lose power and fuel milage

you can get an adapter plae for the maf

and trhe buld piping to behind the front bumper and place the filter there
