  1. Indeed - I'll maybe look into that one. It;s for a 2006 56 plate GS 450h.
  2. Would this be the correct disc with UK mapping: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-EUROPE-2014-2015-VER-1-SAT-NAV-DISC-SATELLITE-NAVIGATION-FREE-POST-TOYOTA-/222195133730?hash=item33bbdcad22:g:YMUAAOSw0fhXkk9I
  3. Thanks Steve. Should I just post a cheque (was kind of hoping to get my membership up and running asap as buying a car and will be going into Lexus for work very soon)? Brian.
  4. Hi all, Tried to join the Gold Membership 2 years several times over the last 24 hours and each time I have hit pay now, it takes me to a page awaiting me to send a cheque, but mentions elsewhere about taking paypal. Anyone know how to pay via paypal? Submitted a support request last night. Brian.
  5. Hi John, From my limited knowledge: Does it make the noise if you adjust it when NOT sitting in it - it my need lubricated somewhere or may be noise from the motors - my IS did that and so does my new Rav. Buy some good quality, non-gloss trim cleaner - get it from polished bliss online - they will advise on something good. No idea... It should be obvious to see at night when using your headlights - you'll see it as the steering wheel turns, especially on dark country roads. Double pressing the key does add the deadlocks. Quality of fuel may not be helping - I'd stick to branded fuel (BP, Shell etc) and avoid the supermarket stuff (which is bulked up with some sort of filler like rapeseed - I have had issues with a few cars and the Subaru dealer dealt with it often and had to clean out essentially slime from the bottom of fuel tanks which were run all the time on cheap supermarket fuels). There seems to be general research that standard good fuel (Shell etc) is as good as Supermarket super-unleaded for quality and economy. Hope that helps. Brian.
  6. Thanks for the update. Did it make the car driveable?
  7. I had an IS220d Sport and that came with 18's as standard. They were the ideal size for the car (but for winter tyres as useless in snow). That's pricey for refin wheels - usually about £50-£60 a wheel for powder coating Brian
  8. Hi all, Picking up a 2006 56 plate 1 owner from new GS450h on Tuesday, which will hopefully be superb, but the prestige dealer (not Lexus) only has one key. Anyone any idea of the process and especially the cost to get a second keyless entry ordered/coded etc. from Lexus or elsewhere? Thanks in advance Brian
  9. Thanks guys. Wayne - do you think the winter tyres take the GS from being a deathtrap in the snow to being useable?
  10. Hi all, Thinking of various wheels I may be able to pick up cheap or close to that would fit a 2006 450h, to use as a set for winter tyres. Will for instance any of the following fit over the calipers: 16" alloys from an IS220/IS250 (normally take 205 55 16') 18" alloys from a Nissan 350Z (5x114 PCD, 8Jx18, ET30) 17" alloys from an IS200 Thanks in advance Brian.
  11. Thanks - decent place to get them at a decent price? (Sorry - this is like an episode of Mastermind!)
  12. Thanks Wayne. Do you think they make a GS450 RWD change from a death trap to drivable in the ice and snow? Brian.
  13. Hi all, Anyone running a GS and change the tyres or wheels in the winter time to snow/winter tyres? My IS was totally useless in the winter, and I eventually sold it after 3 1/2 years, but about to buy a GS 450h and want to know it'll get me out of my street (bottom of the hill) and, with care, safely to work etc. Anyone have experience of this? Brian.
