  1. I have just bought a full set on eBay and negotiated a bargain (they were al for sale separately, with tyres, all legal except 1). They need a minor refurb but I bought them for use as Winter Wheels with winter tyres - and they also came with TPMV's fitted too. Being delivered tomorrow. eBay or Gumtree are your friend as there are a good few of these cars scrapped or taken off road. Also managed through eBay to get a boot trim I was missing (£10 delivered) and a full set of black mats (£30) - all delivered prices from Lithuania - there are several breakers there with multiple RHD cars. Brian.
  2. Hi, Anyone have a good link for a workshop manual (that shows part numbers) for a GS (ideally a 450h) - looking to get specific parts such as the two screws that hold on the top of the rear bumper (just inside the boot opening), the clips underneath the valance etc? Thanks, Brian.

  4. I have recently bought mine and also bought the warranty (it will be 10 in November). The rear dampers were leaking when I bought it, and the car needed a warranty inspection at the dealer first, before the warranty was approved. They'll spot the shocks and not cover them - I asked another dealer (not the one it went to). True enough, once I had the shocks done, the warranty sailed through (and I had the 100+ service done at the same time) - not a cheap day! But - 10 year old car, 2 years total peace of mind, and it comes with Lexus Assistance (which is worth £270 over the two years). No brainer. Brian.
  5. Thanks guys. Been trying it out and the Hybrid Power mode certainly has an effect and sport seems firmer.
  6. Had looked at a second set of wheels, but the cost (including the TPM sensors) is crazy - spending £40 every 6 months to change my tyres will be cheaper I think.
  7. Brilliant. I will be 100% getting proper winter tyres (likely Nokian WR A3's) as my previous IS220D sport was utterly useless and a death trap in the snow. Brian.
  8. £250 :( I am hoping it will be no more than that. Also - any thoughts - LOADS of used keys on eBay, which the dealer said was not the best idea BUT I can buy one, not be bothered about the skeleton key and the actual fob would be less than £40...any thoughts on that one?
  9. The official pressures are inside the drivers door. They are high (circa 39 / 41).
  10. Just had mine done. Fixed price servicing is £795 fitted, but it actually worked out cheaper to get the shocks, pay the labour and then apply my Lexus Owners Club discount - came out around £740 fitted.
  11. Indeed. Just in from figuring that one out!! All working fine now - not usually that stupid
  12. :( They are the continuous flood lighting/puddle lights which down light the centre console when the lights are on. Assume two of the three have just given up the ghost!
  13. Hi all, The small cluster of 3 downlighting night lights in the cabin - only one of them is working, so I assume the other 2 are dead. Has anybody replaced these and know how/what bulbs. Had a search online but can't seem to find the actual interior etc. Brian.
  14. Does Waze work when there is no phone signal at all? Sounds positive.
  15. I have the Tom Tom app on my phone (which was £36.99!!!) but it's the best there is as it works when there is no signal (which happens often in many places I am driving) and the maps are constantly updated, alongside cameras and traffic. However, I'd like to be able to use the Lexus Nav as it's there.
  16. Fab - thanks very much - will have a read. Was interested in the mudflats - what they look like, and if they do a job of protecting the bodywork at all etc. Probably be around £200 from Lexus!
  17. Some quick questions (pick up my GS450h on Wednesday - 56 plate): I assume there is NO spare wheels and it comes with an inflation pump/repair kit? Does the UK GS450h come with/need run flat tyres - seem to read conflicting info about this? The Mark Levinson audio - can it link bluetooth to my iPhone for playing audio from Spotify etc? Anyone ever fit mud flaps on the car? Anyone have a pdf brochure for the car - can't find the right one online anywhere? When the suspension is set to sport mode, is there a noticeable difference (can't remember from when I test drove one years ago)? Thanks in advance, Brian.
  18. Phoned the Lexus dealer today who have serviced the car for it's lifetime, and they think around £250, so maybe discounted slightly. I'd also, potentially be able to use my LOC Lexus dealer discount too hopefully!
