These are great figures :) My peak has been 40.4mpg on a tracking app. and average over the entire year + I have owned the car is 35 mpg of all sorts of mixed driving, 17,000 miles. The car economy is actually improving over the time, I assume as the car is being driven more sensitively as I maximise the use of the hybrid system.

Thanks - I have been through all of that info, but really looking to get a properly comprehensive "why does this cost £745" list followed by the technician, versus the £220 less Essential Care Major service for cars over 5 years old...

Mmmm...mine does not have a timing belt or diesel filter. it's all the checks I'd like to know about to justify £4-500 more than the last service, which included filters, oils and brake fluid etc...

Hi all, My GS450 is due it's 12th service (it's circa 90,000 miles but that is the srvice it has reached). The total cost of the service is £745 (before my discount) so is the biggest service of them all. Any idea what is in it, what will be done/changed and what the additional cost will be? They said it is likely to take all day as there is a lot of labour involved in the service. As the car is 11 years old in November, and technically I could be using the Minor/Major service from the Essential Care Package but not sure that will be anywhere near as comprehensive. The car is under Lexus Warranty until the start of August 2018 thankfully. Any thoughts, or anyone actually have the list of work the technician does on the service to justify the price? I already have the lists of items, which are available on the website, but these are not specific to 60 or 120,000 miles. Brian.

Yeah - it is doing great. On my app that tracks it properly, it did 40.41MPG on that fill up (475 miles and I put in £63 of petrol to take it back to full). The average over the last 17,500 miles I have done in the car over the space of 12 months has been 35.08MPG, which for a 3.5 litre V6 is superb! I do a lot of mixed driving, but certainly the longer drives will see 40+ mpg on the car.

That's crazy - it's part of their fixed price menu.

No - that's £795 fitted for the pair. It's £595 for a pair of front ones, hence me thinking it might be cheaper. Also work joining the Lexus Owners Club to get your card just for that discount alone! I have saved £308 over the last year using all my discounts!

I'd check with Lexus. With a Lexus Owners Club discount on the parts & labour, I think they would get near that price. Mine were £740 for the rear pair fitted, and the front shocks are cheaper so I think Lexus may be around the £650 mark all in.

The cost of the coding was about £60 I think. The rest was for the actual keyfob, and then the cutting of the skeleton master key. It cost me circa £280 I think about 9 months ago.

I bought my car last year with only one key. The one owner of the car I phoned before I bought it, had already lost several keys (he had to stop driving due to Parkinson's). He tried to hunt in his house, as did his wife, as he thinks the other keys were lost there - but no joy. I think it cost me around £280 all in, with discount to get the key fob, key cut, and then coding (both keys done). The spare is safely well stored away!!

Mine has been in the dealer for the same issue the display did not have any of the arrow lines going either way. My Air Con was also not as cold as it should be. Like yours, the hybrid system was working fine and that battery was charging up and down It was in and had a FULL weeks worth of stripping, protocols followed and a warning that the warranty would not cover anything if it was a broken wire, corroded part etc. They were in contact with lexus technical through the process as they could not find anything wrong. Eventually it was traced to an air con pipe, and a possible sensor/compressor issue (the air con/hybrid are linked in some way). LUCKILY the warranty company were superb again and covered the full cost (it was in for a total of 7 days). My car is 11 years old in November. The cost to the warranty was just over £3200 (which was parts at cost and labour at cost plus 15%). The cost to me, had it not been covered, would have been £5k + easily Lexus warranty comes good once again and, as ever, Lexus Edinburgh were super helpful. Brian.

Mine is the same too! No issues when moving.

I find my GS450h steering heavy compared to many cars I drive, and it's had a full 4 wheel alignment recently (and all tyres are good).

It's quite a tidy car in person too. Black interior is a bit dull with the exterior but otherwise now a pretty good price, with 1 years' Lexus warranty.

I have found zero issues with my GS in terms of sizes. It's a low car, and is perfectly drivable on UK roads - it's smaller than my wife's Rav4 for example and MUCH smaller in bulk than say an RX.
