  1. hmm will check that out next time... bloody dangerous! Reminds me of my old mkII Escort and the rolling coke can under the brake pedal! I have the IS for 4 weeks in January! Put the old barge into dry dock! I have got rather attached to an auto though!
  2. well this was a 99 model.. perhaps this was one of them.. mats were awefull I have very deep carpets in my motor... really nice. Had a good afternoon with the stereo though... the system is awesome... very clear and has a really good bass. I hope my uplgrade will sound like that!
  3. Took out a friends IS200 earlier to get the tyres changed and was in for a shock Pulled off and got about 200 yards and the accellerator got stuck in the middle of town!... totally revved the nuts out of it so i rolled to the side of the road and turned off the engine... Feeling the accelrator with my foot i could feel that it was stuck to the floor! So.. i investigate under the bonnet and all seems fine... Then relaised that the stupid mat (foot mat.. not our mate mat!) got in the way.. felt a right nawny! Why are the mats on the IS so crummy? They dont have clips! Very red faced when everyone was walking past sniggering! (this cannot happen to me!!!!! Would not have minded if it was an escort!)
  4. well i have had the pleasure of an IS200 all afternoon noticed my backside was hot... man.. i thought these seats are hot to sit in then realised they were heated. Turned them off because too hot!
  5. better make sure i behave myself then
  6. Sorry about that.. we are working on a better system.. the old system kept on breaking! We are working on this. :hocus-pokus:
  7. Would be nice to have a link from the website considering the amount of feedback and information is pulled from this site. I have put 100's of hours of hard brain squishing work to keep this lot running and a nice link would have helped! Not only does it help Lexus.. it helps their customers and saves alot of time for customer services. There ya go.. i have said my bit... no where did i put my coat?
  8. cripes... clawley must have fischer price computer!
  9. I find supermarket fuel to be less refined than BP, shell etc and the quality is poor... that's how they can offer cheap fuel plus discount fuel with vouchers. I tend to stick with BP or Shell etc
  10. where does it say that.. hard time navigating the site. from what i can see the processing only happens when your machine is idle! So it does not suck your processor when your using your computer (put me straight if i am wrong) It works fine for me and I have forgotten about it! Uncle admin says JOIN!
  11. Yes... hope this helps! http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/ :)
  12. I did not know there were options or a brand of Converter. I got one from a import dealer for £14 easy to fit etc. Although since my arial is built into the back window it is pretty poor at picking up stations! I guess your sick of radio 2 by now then? Terry Wogan not your cup of tea?
  13. mat... it says 1 member has retired... who is that? on my chart it says i am retired? Am i? no pension! Better get back to work
  14. The site is 100% better! The last site was horrid! Well done Lexus!
  15. This may be a drop in the ocean... but i had something similar but worse... found out it the the manifold sheild underneath come loose! Would only happen when accelerating and got to about 2500 rpm's. Sounds very similar to your problem. You will need to get the car up on the ramps. The sheild you can just remove! No particular use as such (if it is loose)
  16. the big "3 oh" was hard for me! I still wonder when i will get my fortune... will i ever get married (hmmm who cares) I think of the last 10 years and how fast those 10 years went... so i then start thing of the big 4 ohhhh (my back!) start thinking what a pratt I must have been to be in this state!
  17. Maintenance does not as many posts like others do. Also because we are a smaller market in the UK than US boards they are not as active. But we try our best to help :)
  18. There have been whispers regarding Lexus bringing out a diesel range. A Lexus powered by a diesel engine is on the company’s development horizon, according to Dr Shuhei Toyoda, president and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe. Dr Toyoda said the company ‘is addressing’ the need for diesel power for its luxury brand and plans to expand its range of diesel engines ‘in the near future’ from its current 10-engine list which includes five direct injection units. He also noted that the company has ‘learned a great deal’ from its diesel joint venture with PSA Peugeot Citroen and has concluded agreements with other manufacturers, including the supply of 1.4-litre diesel engines for BMW’s new MINI. Diesel power in luxury cars has become an essential element to the growth of the segment, with BMW and Mercedes-Benz leading the way for many years. Jaguar is now following suit and expects to have a diesel powered car option within the next year. Lexus is committed to massively increasing its sales over the next five years from a niche player in the luxury brands to becoming a major one. What is everyones opions on a Lexus Diesel?
  19. robs right I paid £60 for a inner and outer boot (had to buy pair)... the inner boot did not need replacing.. so on the other side i bought a Camry boot for £14 instead.. looked exactly the same. Not sure what you mean by slow... but the questions were answered for you. ;)
  20. I have some serious hardware.... bag of nails and 2 strips of 4 by 2 and a hammer!
  21. wow... thats good... i am surprised. I will consider using an LS430 when I do my next bank job! (legal: I do not do bank jobs, or do i have anything to do with future bank jobs )
  22. did they actually use brand names on the back of the car? Like Grand Auto theft you recognise the cars but the badges are different... legal reasons!
  23. I am suffering the same problem with the amp.. so I have bought a face place and I am installing aftermarket! The funny noise you are experiencing.. is it a screech or a rattely vibration?
