At last I have made some mods and ripped all of the old factory unit out and replaced it with aftermarket. I am soooo pleased i done this. I chose MB Quartz speakers which are very good quality... superb sound.. bear in mind I have replaced every speaker in the car with MB Quartz.. even the door tweeters http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/ES-300/speakers I Also had the old amp ripped out and in its place is all the components and circuitry for the speakers. Ie cross over stuff. The whole car was rewired with top quality cable.. I will take more pics of the new sub and some of the wiring very shortly. I am very happy with it so far.. the sound is very good.

not sure what mine is.. just a plastic ring But i was not happy with the taping of the wories.. needed some silver tape... but the rings are ok.. wont know until i fit them

Snowboard Check the plugs on the amp.. give them a wiggle.. the amp should be under the passenger seat I have ripped the whole complete stereo from my ES and Had it all rewired and bought a face plate and went for all aftermarket... better sound and easier to replace things if they go wrong. pictures coming soon

I had one that gordy gave me.. good quality Though these are different as the bonnet opens and the insterior details is much better. I used to have one until by son saw it...

I checked this out as I never knew this model exsisted. There was not much to go on but yes the 2.5 X model was made and on a 97.

Ok. here is some advice before going into a group buy here. Best thing is to buy one first and see the quality. Once the quality inspection is done and the thumbs up are given then i reckon we could sell at least 10 of these. Also remember the whole headlight unit will need to be prised apart and installed, remembering to keep air tight, otherwise condensation will build up. Customs... the dreaded customs gets their mits on $2700 worth of orders there will be a hefty bill! and many little fees to pay. Its would prolly be cheaper for someone to fly out and bring them back

yeah... Just looped and wire hanging out... wire them up to the side lights or fog lights. I have not fitted mine yet

i guess as long as you change the direction (if you need to do that with HID) then i guess they would be fine

Funny enough i have a pair for my car.. but they were alot cheaper than $275.. I only paid $100.. take a look on clublexus.com under the ES300 section.. the guy will make any size. Get him the measurements (which he may already have for the IS) and make payment and its takes about a week to come through. These are made by the guy himself.. not bad! just need to fit mine.. but Might buy new headlights for the front before hand as mine are leaking and faded

I swear by jap cars! But i will give Rover/Austin/MG their dues.. the old Montego EFi and the Maestro EFI where very quick! But never lasted very long!

I think they do as we did not full fill the whole quote but everyone still got their kits. Are there any who did not buy the kit? If not then this is a special price.
