thing is i get alot of people asking me why they cannot email members on the board. these people are not gold members.. i have restricted non gold members to emailing other members purely because we are sick of the nigerian scams going through these boards. they really must think we are numptys! So.. if your not a gold member and you always wondered why your emails do not go through then that is your answer. blame the scamming bloke from Nigeria with the gold tooth smile!

go to a large motor store with your trim number (found under the bonnet on the chassis plate) and get some made up... It wont be as perfect as lexus paint.. but you will not notice it on black stone chips I reckon lexus can get this colour and they cannot be bothered to look it up for you

first off i could skim £200 of that bill if you were a gold member of the club (dont mean to keep on about membership.. but £200 is a big saving) I would get a second opinion on that camshaft... plus i think you might find at that price is that just for the cambelt.. i could be wrong. Also.. all depends if you wanna bite the bullet and have it done at a 3rd part garage... remember the car is a 11 years old... Lexus service history i feel is past it on this car. My car is a 92... i am going 3rd party and getting my cam belt done for £100.. that includes the belt. dealer would charge £400 as you have a V8 they will charge you loads more. We can certainly save you alot of money on the parts though!

touch up kit is easy ask lexus to take your trim code and order the paint.. about £10

ok.. there is quite alot of monies worth of stuff to repair My suggestion is to goto your dealer and get part numbers for all these bits... and a price from your dealer.. ask for a printed quotation. Then sign up to our subscription service... and I will be able to get you 15% of all the parts... and you will have a few hundred pounds worth of bits there. The LCD and the door lock switch will be a little pricey... but I could probably get a much better price through a dealer for you.

oh.. remember that the soarer has the 1JZ GTE engine in it.. very similar to the supra but tad smaller engine these are very strong engines to upgrade on... modders dream! had it again today... came out of the tyre place and 3 blokes looking round the car... "nice car mate" I smugly said "cheers" .... i nearly had to ask if they could help me get my head in the door it was so big! :P

I have just got back from having mine done. I had 4 wheel alignment using this 3D system... looked well cool and the car feels really nice now. however.. dont be fooled when a mechanic says they cannot do Caster.. make sure you go somehwere where they know how to do it and are willing to do it. i was fobbed off... but then turned round to the guy and told him he was wrong and that the car does have caster adjustment. i have now got the car spot on! and the bearing noise i thought it was was very bad tracking which screwed my tyres. dont be fobbed.. do research here first.. took me 4 trips to get the right info and I told them what i wanted.. and I got it

you really have to weigh up the difference with the MR2 and the soarer... MR2 is a Mid Engined sports car Soarer is a Sports cruiser.. but can handle itself very well and is quick... the MR2 turbo is a tad quicker... i had the choice over the MR2 a while back but my legs are too long and they were round my ears... just was not that comfortable. Soarer is a coupe... rear seating is restricted... large people will not fit in the back.. but you get tons of room in the front and lexus luxury. 4K is abot right for a 91 I picked my 92 manual in silver for £4895 and it is immaculate!

dont worry about turbos fella.. you would not need to pay much for them... if you have the right people in the right place just listen out for really whiney tubos.. you will be able to hear the turbos when they kick in and will sound great.. but if she really screams and kicks out smoke then they are knackered PAS should be quiet.. similar to your IS The top of the rad.. if it looks all crackled then its gone brittle.. prolly £200 (dealers charge about £350) fogged up lights are where the sun has dis coloured them.. a bit of Tcut and some elbow grease will get them back new. Aircon .. easy to spot.. listen to the engine surging... apart from that.. make sure its had a cam belt at 60K and regular oil changes for those turbos will help. You can change the oil in these every 3K miles but only change the oil filter every 6k.. but its just a precaution... thats up to you.

oooohhh thats criminal to track that car mate do it up.. sell it and buy something more suited which you can strip out. Such beauty stripped would be criminal!
