ok guys.. i have made a modification to the server please report any errors to me by PM with times of the error and IP if you can.. hopefully this is now fixed.

Please can you describe exactly what you do when you enter the website and it goes blank. Are you getting the problem just browsing or posting? Can you note exact times when this happens so we can trace the error logs (if it is a server prob) The more descriptive i can be to the techs the better

I think i may have a reason why and thats because we had a security mod installed that filter high payloads. I have a tech looking at this. However, times of the day precicesly may help me look in the error logs and see what error (if any) please make a note of the time and I will look into this. Also if you know you IP this helps but dont worry.. I will trace it and see if it is the same error. Firefox must handle this stuff differently.

do you use a firewall?? Whats the set up you use?? do you get any errors at all?? or is it just slow?

Please ensure that you do not have any spyware on your machine. I have seen someone with this on another forum so it may not be LOC. Firefox is working fine so it is a IE issue.

What i need to do is figure if it the forum software or the server. If any of you folks get this again please coud you try and browse some of the news articles by clicking the headlines at the top of the page let me know if you can view all the articles.. have a good click around and let me know what you get please.

weird... the server has been fine for me and no reports of it under strain at all. whats weird is that only IE has the problem and only a few people.

hmm this sounds like might be a server problem. Anyone else been having problems?? We did a security audit and had some settings changed so this may be the cause.. alot has happened over the last few days.

mate.. the data is secure as it ever will be. Nothing is secure unless it is not plugged to the internet. In no way were LOC incompitant at managing it. It is the forum software that has the holes and IPB have had alot of cases these last few days. my suggestion would be to use a free web address such as Gmail and forward all mail from Gmail to your own address... Gmail will not deliver mail with viruses anyway. Then change the address in your profile. This is a very rare thing.. and it happens to many websites

they didnt they used the forums very own software, injected the database with data that creates the newsletters which then automatically started creating newsletter type emails. This will be patched up very soon
