    why would you need an engine rebuild? you are right to be cautious of the service history, but i don't think the diesel is like a rotary engine, it shouldn't need a rebuild. But anyway i would stay clear of a car with no service history as well. Keep looking though mate.. Lexus make bloody good cars!

The Sudden boost is the turbo, it is a characteristic of the car and almost can be dangerous in my opinion, especially at junctions and roundabouts. Or are you saying it suddenly has changed? I found that when i had one serviced and it seemed sluggish ever since. It seemed to have happened when the EGR valve was replaced.

    horid smell from the bacteria on the AC filter.. embarresing when you have people in the car with you and whiffs so much!
