  6. seems i've started some debate over the pros and cons off gold membership Gord how do you get 15% off without going gold? I have no desire to go to main lexus dealers either but some things are best left to them as i'm sure everyone appreciates it can be quite expensive so if the gold membership can help me get a few quid off then great. Can anyone tell me (Especially gold memebers) how it actually works getting a discount on parts and labour? is it just a case of telling the dealer your a member or do I need to go through LOC?
  7. Evening all I've been thinking about this for some time now, whats the real benefits of subscribing to LOC gold membership? the only reason I ask is i've got a cam belt change next week (£320) as talked about in previous topics, and natrully I want to keep the costs down. Gold memebsr Site talks about saving money at Lexus Dealers etc how does this work and will it save me money on my cam belt change If I joined today? Thanks
  8. Wow thats so much cheaper than I been quoted hanleys some 140miles away though bit far I was quoted £400 from Reading Lexus, £320 from Oxford and now Hanley at £190 im supprised there is so much variation i would have thought it ed be standard fixed prices nationaly in the mean time ill keep looking for a better deal thanks for looking that up by the way Will becoming a gold member save me money at main Lexus Dealers Then?
  9. Thanks for your help guys your right sorry 1000.00miles or 6 years mine is at 68500 now and its seven years old so probably needs changing I tried 4 Local garages and none of them can do a cam belt change they recon theres to many specialist tools etc which only Lexus hold. So im booked on a collect and return service next week with Oxford Lexus and they gonna give me lovely Courtesy car (All Free Buy the way Guys) whilst the belt is being replaced. £320.00 but suppose peace of mind it's being done properly Thanks

  13. After replacing Batteries in all 3 Key fobs for 99 IS200 I found they just wont work i've tried the recoding proces several times and the key fobs still wont work. Although on a couple of occasions 1 key might lock but not unlock and vice versa with another key. Could be there may be a problem with the remote receiver? Anything else I can do before a long trip back to Lexus. Cheers Guys/Girls

Thanks for the info battery indicator that puts my mind at rest, ive also noticed that 1st and 2nd gaer changes (only occasionly) can be a bit clunky is this a sign that the gear box is on its way out or just needs some getting used to? im covered on warrenty for the 1st £1000 but knowing lexus a gearbox wont be far of that?
