  1. Morning All, I probably shouldn't publicly admit any driver errors but anyway here we go Past few months on 3 seperate occasions I've gone to put her into second gear and find i've been fighting with the gear box as it just won't go Twice moving off from a roundabout and once turning a corner eventually after a few seconds (trying to get any gear) and my blood pressure comes back down ill find it and off we go again. At first I put this down to driver error but since it's now happend again for the 3rd time im thinking again..... I know the IS gearbox is indistructable But could this be anything other than driver error something slipping or not quite engaging perhaps?????? Any input would be great Thanks Guys
  2. Ouch guess you better start saving for the 60k service then..... When i bought my IS200 I found the paperwork for previous service 1K earlier @ woodford £1300 :o :o no wonder the previous owner sold it soon after not that i'm complaining :D
  3. I use something called Odex glass & Mirror cleaner cheap stuff but works great spray on and wipe of with newspaper works a treat :winky:
  4. Yeah i watched that one too maybe i was a bit nieve I thought the speed cameras on the M25 were fixed at 70 regardless off what it states on the overhead gantries Although I have seen many cars exceeding the advised speed limits (including myself) ive never had any tickets and i commute the M25 often Jiberjaber how is this far from the truth do you know something we don't. Although i do admit this seemed a bit of an outrages thing for JC to say
  5. Ill second that (how do you think they explained the damage to Porsche :o on returning there £70k car LOL I also watched a dated series of Top Gear today ware all three presenters slated the SC430 as the worst car available on the road at that time. Did anyone else see this? I dont see many SC430s on the road, Surely Top gear have been a bit harsh with their review or have they?
  6. Any suggestions on what type to use possibly get a coat of sealant on there if you've been heavy with the t-cut? :D
  7. Right folks this has probably been asked many a time but i cant find any links under the help section on this I just want insert a personall Picture on My profile every time i try 1 it comes back with error message What am i doing wrong? Can anyone talk me through this please?
  8. Well 3 hours later and arms rady to drop off T-Cut has done the job Some of the scratches are still visable but not nearly as bad as b4
  9. Had the car 2 months and washed it evrey weknd since iv'e had it I have no doubt theese scratches are fresh today
  10. Ok its done now time to move on lesson learn't Is there anything better than T-Cut out there? available from Halfords as thats all I can imagine is open tomorrow It will need to be very good i'm almost on the virge of saving fo a re-spray IT'S THAT BAD :o Will post some pic's in the light of day
  11. Was a self car wash with jet spray and brush etc. B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ May 27 2006, 09:26 PM) ← Machine car wash ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! You get a better finish with brillo pads and sandpaper ! DIY or drive it dirty.
  12. Guess i've really learnt the hard way I'm just so upset this has happend partly my fault but I guess natural instinct tells you to blame somebody else ill spend tomorrow with a bottle of T-Cut and a few beers but I have a horrible feeling T-Cut might not be enough this time round it's in a real mess....... G
  13. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: Before I went to WIM this morning I took the motor to the self car wash, all washed and all was well I took the car to WIM and Tony noticed a scratch on my nearside front door quite a nasty one at that!!! took it with a pinch of salt nothing a bit of T-Cut won't fix After Tony had finished and the misses spent a fortune in Wattford I drove home again (Happy) parked up at home and settled down to several 1664 and a chinese About 20 minutes ago I thought i should nip out to the drive and check the scratch again and as I was walking away I noticed another scratch on the roof Oh S :tsktsk: T i say's to myself I better have a look round the whole car and there is not one panel that has less than 4 scratches on it. How i never noticed this before I shall never Know I'm just so angry at the garage were I washed the car surely they have a duty of care and need to accept some responsiblilty (although I admit I would probably have a job proving it was their car wash that done this) Has anyone had probs like this before and if we have any legal reps out there your hired.... Drastic maybe but very upset yes maybe i will see this diffrently in the morning then again maybe i wont???????
  14. Oh ill be there in 2000 miles the misses will make sure of that........ put it this way when i returned to collect the car today I had (she had) spent nearly 5 times what the car cost in adjustments anyway :o G
  15. Hey guys/Gals Had My first visit to Tony at Wheels in Motion Today to have the geometry on wheels Checked/corrected because of abnormal tyre ware and i have also never realy felt comfortable cornering at speed on motorway etc. Something just didn't feel right. I must admit I was a bit cautious at first as to what I should really expect. But on arrival i immeadiatley felt comfortable, Tony really know's his stuff must admit though his trade is jargon to me but the printout of statistics state everything before and after any adjustments and in my case the figures spoke for themselfs I'm glad iv'e had this done and I would strongly reccomend to anyone fast/proffesional/cheaper Thanks Tony
  16. Pressumably you have only paid a deposit for viewing costs? and not paid for the car?
  17. Try Zurich they have always quoted me cheaper than anyone else Try Zurich ditto, im 20 driving an is200 and im near 2000 for insurance, granted i did crash my mazda and got 4 points straight after within the last 6 months. lol
  18. Sorry but this LOC Pictures of 9/11 and 7/7 dont really go down to well "personally" think its a bit weird regardless of ebay payback or not dont really want to view this lot hope other LOC members would agree maybe i have read it wrong?
  19. Feel for you mate what type of A :tsktsk: e would do that I know this is I moved house 6 months ago and went for a cheaper rented flat because of financial circumstances after i had moved and settled down to my first coffee in the new flat I informed the insurance company about change of address (0.4Miles from previous flat) Yes sir of course that will be an increase of £245 on you premium "why" I ask? needless to say I hit the roof and there response was that the post code was not as NICE as the previous. After that of to halfords I travelled Gear Box & Handbrake Security Clamp £60.00 Full Steering Wheel Lock £25.00 oh and on the way home stopped at Argos and bought a Basic CCTV sytem £70.00 So £400 quid later and settled into the new Flat secure as can be I bump into the local Beat Bobby and ask him about my experiances with the insurance company (DL) and what response do I get "if anything Sir your premium should have been Higher at your last address/area Ive been on this beat for two years and crime is at all time low around here" I guess the point is i know insurance company's are business and are out for a profit like everyone else but were do they get off? wre do they get there info from? OR IS THE BOBBY PULLING THE WOOL? Almost forgot too mention was only driving a 1.2 punto six months ago

  21. 9.00AM which will be murder for me on a Saturday morning hey maybe Tony will stick the kettle on :winky:
  22. Little s:tsktsk:s looks like that will be expensive there seems to be a lot of accidents/damage vehicles being reported on the LOC at the moment On the bright side at least you had no occupants in that baby seat at the time. (if that is a baby seat int the 3rd Pic?) G
