  1. how the hell did you find that Rich Bee? (well Done) That was only this year... AA News Story
  2. £2 a mile £500 thats half the way accros the country what a journey! Absaloute ***** :tsktsk: es had the AA with part of the deal when I bought a new fiat I had the use them several times (guess thats what happens when you buy a Fiat) But I found the service appauling and vowed never to go near them again they wanted to charge me courtesy cars which should have been free etc etc. I also seen on the news a few years back there was an old guy who had a heart attack behind the wheel he was rushed to hospitsl but unfortunatly died later on when the distraut family phoned the AA they would not collect the desseased's vehicle (which had a flat battery) because the policy holder was no longer alive. I mean come on GW
  3. Obviousley some mixed feelings about Led autobulbs but for a 15 minute mod and only £25 i'm quite pleased with the finished results Although i do admit it did take some work to get rid of the blotchy sections but as advised in the instructions if you sand down the LED'S evenly the end result is good Sorry you had a bad experiance fargo but I have no complaints although that guy from LED auto bulbs what a w :tsktsk: a to deal with Ii'm trying to upload some pics but a the moment cant figure it out
  4. Right got the pics now how the hell do I upload them?
  5. Iv'e got Blue Led's (plug and play) good enough for the job no problems whatsoever took 10mins to install and works a treat £25.00 of ebay
  6. Hi guy's iv'e been looking recently at buying a private reg plate which iv'e found the one I wan't at the right price. But my question is does anyone know how much it will cost me to retain the old Reg Plate for when the time comes to sell up obviousley any buyer won't want my personal plate on it. Ive tried to call My local DVLA office yesturday but with no joy Reg Transfers could not tell me either apparently it depends on the plate you have Cheers
  7. Were did you get them from Lexus or another source?
  8. does anyone know if theese are available for the old IS
  9. THE FRIPOUILLE? (HAS NO CONVERSION TO ENGLISH) according to anything you Can find on-line LOL Please eXPLAIN Oh believe me, he is. Without even having the opportunity to watch either daddy or mummy put the key in the ignition (his car seat is behind the drivers' seats in both cars--- LHD for the IS200 and RHD for the RX400h -- so can't see where we put the key) -- he somewhat instinctively knew where the put the key and turn it. He actually started the engine in the IS200.... LA FRIPOUILLE! (those who speak fluent French will probably understand that one!) Leland
  10. :duh: :shutit: What a shame not a nice thing to happen sorry can't help but i'm sure some of the guy's will sort you out soon with some possible answers. If you explain this to the insurance company they will investigate they log all complaints on their database they may be cotributing factors towards vehicle accidents Good Luck
  11. This seems to be a major problem for which i guess Lexus GB will have had plenty of complaints? There is also some saftey factors involved in this, it wouldn't supprise me if lexus were thinking of diffrent entry/exit mesures for this model anyway glad you got this sorted out I bet your cousin now has a comprehensive breakdown cover :D GW Mmmmmm perhaps Lexus turned up fixed it, Rich got in and now can't get out :D :D :D Well, they (it turned out to be the plain old RAC) turned up after two and a half hours. When he put the van in front of the car, everything was fine When he moved the van backwards, bingo, nothing working! We established when you press the button on the door to lock the car it 'speaks' to the fob (watch the red light blink as you do it) as we were trying to rule out dodgy keys or interference. Gave up after 30 mins after disconnecting battery and back as the car was locking fine. Went to it this morning and all is fine again, no mobile masts have been built near by as I'd know about it through work, just some intermittent interference. Who knows, will take the car in on Monday to have a once over just in case. I think interference is becomming worse, since found out my cousin got stranded in Milton Keynes. Paid a breakdown firm £80 to come out, he rolled the car back 10ft and all was fine - 'Happens here all the time mate, that'll be £80' Good news is been at Legoland with kids all day, knackered and sun burnt but at least I managed to get back into the car As a rule of thumb, if you have any issues trying to lock the car at anytime, move it to another space and try again. If it struggles to lock, it'll struggle to unlock as I found out. Thanks for all the answers as well, much appreciated. B)
  12. Very Very suspect if you say the alarm was not engaged when you collected it? then you could argue that they never even locked it at all if its any respectable garage they will have a liability insurance (as all registered MOT stations do) you will be able to claim on their insurance (providing they left your car on their property when this happend?) if they left it on the street you may be fighting from a diffrent angle. Good Luck and don't let them get away with it GW
  13. Rich bee What was the out come of this? did lexus response turn up on time?
  14. I'm just thinking that Lexus surely would not off relied purely on the keyless entry 100% and there must be some sort of secondary backup? if the boot is open can you not try climbing in and starting the car I appreciate the alarm will be activated but this should only last 20 seconds (providing on the Immobilisor set up) or so if you can start the car then maybe this will reset the system Nothing in the manual? Good Luck
  15. Am i right is saying there is no key for the 220D at all? just the fobs It's on its own on the drive where it always is!!! Confusing the hell out of me! :duh:
  16. I did wonder about mentioning some of the more recent topics but as i've had no major probs why spoil the moment I guess what they should mention is that lexus maybe have lesser problems than all the other car company's such as the ford galaxy which was voted worst on the road My boss wasn't very happy when i showed him the review Guess who has just bought a new galaxy I think some of us, should ring THE SUN and tell them some are not so happy
