  1. Sorry to hear about the break in key theft is becoming more and more common

Might not be of much use but can the police not advise on this? if you are a member of the AA etc they might be able to get into the car and disable it properly untill you can find a souloution thats my 2p worth

Good luck and let us know how you get on

    Better luck for 2007 :D

  2. Sorry to hear of all your troubles it's defo not the what you should expect from a lex my last car was a Fiat Punto active sport and this had the same probs as T7RY B's wife it spent more time on the recovery truck rather than on the road. Anyway after a claim for money back through the small claims court I got all of my money back plus a years free motoring I decided I wanted reliability so i used the cash to buy my (99) IS200 back in march and apart from a new starter motor its been pretty much trouble free

All I would say is at least you got a warranty behind you so its best to get all the niggles big or small out the way nice and early which I hope would ensure future trouble free motoring

    Good luck

  3. I moved away from the north to the big city for the nightlife and the work but boy do i miss all those real roads around scotland's finest countryside

    sweaty sock i'm afraid (not)

The South of the country is rather a sad place.....too many cars on the roads, too many cops, too much unintelligent conversation. Get ooop North lad.
  4. Welcome

    2.no

    3.yes

    were are coming from?

I am moving to the UK from January the 2nd so I have a few questions :)

1- Are there any members around Crawley (West Sussex) ?

2- I am considering buying a RHD car to drive there. May sound a stupid question but I assume import cars (Altezza, Aristo, skylines ...) are much expensive to insure than UK spec ones, aren't they ?

3- Are there any good place to visit around there ?(performance specialists as exemple :whistling: )

    See you soon :D

  5. I phoned Lexus Oxford & Bracknell today re these kick plates Oxford said they were discontinued bracknell told me they were discontinued but reinstated a little while ago they are phoning me tomorrow with a price ill let you know the results but i agree its a must have mod i'm stuck now between HID's or the kick plates

  6. Ive only noticed it the past couple of days the outside temp gauge starts to flash when i switch on the ignition is it just to alert you its cold outside as if i dont already know? after spending 10mins with a scrapper and can of de-icer

Sorry just one of those stupid posts i know

  7. There was a post on this just recently i think it was just put down to the power steering fluid freezing up it has been the coldest in a long time so i wouldn't worry to much might be worth upgrading the steering fluid with a higher tolerance level next time you have a service

Hope thats all it is anyway's

  8. I went their last year *Fantastic* i stayed in the Luxor Hotel which was very nice TBH we just spent most of our time on the strip visiting all the hotels as most have their own fetures/shows that happen diffrent times during the day if you have some spare cash a helicopter trip to grand canyon is a must, I would suggest pre booking this though you will get a better deal..... there is also a great rollercoaster ride that goes round some of the hotels and even through part of one them..... we were warned to stay away from downtown vegas its a bit rough their but sounds like you mate can look after himself :D

    You will love it

  9. Very nice mate wish my misses would let me have a spending spree the week b4 christmas the only gift i get is paying the barclaycard bill once she's finished shopping :crybaby:

oh yeah i forgot the little christmas bonus I put to one side :whistling: ehhmm them HID's ive been thinking off may be an option the best thing is she wouldn't even notice them :P :P :D

Thanks for the info i was kinda hoping to do the 5 day garunteed pass scheme with a company called clearstone but i guess an initial assesment would make better.... sense after all the cousre costs near 1600 quid its a lot of money to spend and i want to get it right first time if my first thought was 5days seemed to little before you can get behind the wheel of one the fu****rs legally

    Thanks again

  12. Hi and welcombe to the loc

    Facts 153/154 bhp 0-60 9.6sec manual, 11.somthing auto

insurance at your age it won't be great but iff you can afford the luxury???? just dont expect the performence lower down the revs the is200 is no slepper but a great motorway car you can still play with the big boys in the fast lane

    Common faults

    Ball joints

tyre ware (see the doctor) you will learn

Do a search plenty on here on faults

I had my IS200 6 months and cant wait to upgrade to the IS300 unlike the posh lads that go straight to the IS250/IS220D etc lol sorry guys

Hope this helps but the right one its worth every penny

    Good luck
