Welcome.
Good choice. Love my RX. Hope you enjoy the Harrier.
I've owned Toyota Prado SWB in the past, had no problems with that import.

Welcome, hope you enjoy your IS, I did. I miss it sometimes, but my RX suits my needs better.

They're normally on the door pillar.
Well they are on my MK1.
Off the top off my head I think they're 2.3bar/32psi.
Welcome to the club

I've had my mark 1 since july, local journeys about the same as you. but on a decent run with cruise on at 70 set by my road angel figuire about 75ish on the clock I get 28-29, towing my tin snail, 22-23. I didn't by the RX for economy, I bought it 'ecause I wanted it, 'cause it was a LEXUS.
You were lucky with the audi, on the few occasion I was allowed to play in my cousin's scooby STI W1, special edition 320bhp out the box, I was getting low teens, even driving sensibly my cousin was lucky to crack 25.
When I had my IS200 my fuel consumption in that wasn't much better than my RX.

Hi.
I'm thinking of fitting after market HID lights to my Mk1, I know I'll have to buy 2 sets, are the bulbs costly? Any views on these kits.

Hi, & welcome.
My mark 1 has the same message if sat nav buttons are pressed, mine definately a uk model. If yours is a se sat nav was optinal. When I bought mine i asked the dealer if it was an import, then on closer inspection, all my glass etched Lexus, Camcover has Lexus, steering wheel also has Lexus badge & stereo also comes up Lexus most imports were Toyota Harriers that have been rebadged. To the best of my knowledge the RX not sold in Japan, I've most probably stirred up a hornets nest.
Hope you are enjoying your RX
I love to drive mine, great on long runs.

Hi.
I needed a towbar for 2001 RX, so I followed one of the links posted about towbars which took me to towbars r us. I phoned them and confirmed the price would be £364 that was with a relay, 2-3weeks delivery. After all that has been said about cost of genuine towbars, I thought I'd phone Lexus Ipswich and spoke to Dave in parts who quoted me £383.07 complete with plug in loom, and 2day delivery, ordered it Wednesday, collectedit Friday, fitted on Saturday. And yes it is a Brinks detachable. Hardest part was stripping & refitting trim, and getting the permanent live feed which was from the Battery, in hindsight I now realize the pictures were for L/H drive, but other than that all went well, as it was a all plug and play connectors. I thought the extra £19 worth it as no scotch lock connections.
Anyway hope to meet some of you at Mersea in 2weeks.

Hi to all of you guys.
I will be coming at on at least one of the days with the ball and chain.
You will need to let everyone know that the tide covers the strood for about one hour twice a day possibly.
The times for 29th 11-53 and 0.14
30th 0-14 and 12-35
31st 0-39 and 13-21
It's about 1/2 hour either side of the times stated depending on height of tide.
BE WARNED IF THE STROOD IS COVERED DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS. WAIT TILL TIDE DROPS
I live local so I have some knowledge of the area. Also hydrualiced a works Transit thinking I'd be clever and save some time.
Any local info just ask.
Will see you all there

Thanks. I'll get a set of tyres onthe is rims then, and get them on the RX
Many thanks Pete

Doesn't the RX have an offset of 35 whereas the IS alloys are 50? Not sure if that's the mk2 though............
This is what I am trying to find out? Was hoping some one here would know the answer or perhaps point me in the right direction...........................
-
Nothing? Just thought it may look better on IS wheels with lower profile tyres, I should think 60's or possibly 55. But who cares anyway I am glad to be getting another Lexus.............................
-
HI, I'm back after 15months away.
I'm picking up an 2001 RX next week, and was wondering whether 17" IS wheels have same offset & stud pattern? As I've refurbed set in my garage.

Nice one

Thanks.
Still undecided, hopefully trying a GS at the weekend.

HI ALL,
I'm thinking of changing my IS200SE manual to a GS300.
Still enjoy the IS very much.
Apart from getting a slightly larger car, is it it still a fun car to drive?
Any ideas whether I should change, thinking of getting a 99 GS
Thanks Pete

I've done as suggested and it certainly seems better now. :D
Hopefully has cured the silly glitch!
Thanks for your help.

Try an ECU reset, with a new air filter it is probably a bit lean specially when cold as the O2 sensor is out of the loop.
How do you do that? I assume it's quite simple.
-
Hi to you all.
Just a silly problem really.. Changed the air and fuel filter at weekend. Now my beloved IS seems to be cranking slightly longer before firing, maybe an extra couple of seconds, also seem a little rough for a couple of seconds after it has caught??? :duh:
It seems to to be OK after that..
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :D

Just the 2 of us then??????????????
There must be more?
Surely there are others live in Essex.........
Perhaps Essex folks prefer Beemers or Mercs to Lexi..
I've always associated BMW as a swear word........ :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

Any idea what time it kicks off.
We got plenty of pigeons in our back garden they any good???
