  1. They are made by Borbet in germany and sold through TTE. They are available from Lexus Dealers and if you join GOLD you will get a discount. I have bought some this year from Lexus new and also secondhand from ebay. I have also bought a set from an advert in Autotrader and I have seen some for sale in Loot. So they are about if you look in the right places ;)
  2. Let them stay there, best place for them IMO :D
  3. Since when has Turkey been in Europe China will want to join next More to the point when are we going to wake up and leave the EU :D
  4. Keith, You will need to purchase the following to convert a 300 into a sport. Front Grill Approx £400 Rear Spoiler Approx £500 Lowering springs -25mm approx £200 18inch TTE rims and tyres Approx£1800 Two sport stickers £12.00 Plus cost of painting and fitting Your much Better off finding a Sport. I did convert my old series one into a sport, so the above list is from my conversion costs in 1999 Hope this helps? :hohoho:
  5. Tony, If you can remember I bought a set of genuine Lexus manuals at JAE for the GS 300 secondhand. They are excelent books, at the last meet we used the instruction to check the SAT/Nav diagnostics on Rod's GS. I have purchased an electonic copy on CD from ebay in America, however these are very poor quality and show very little. If you can buy some they are well worth the money :)
  6. Somebody has copied my car
  7. I have a Blue-i, its 100% accurate so far. Can warn you up to 2000 metres from a camera. Only problem is that it will not detect a mobile camera only fixed ones. You probable got caught by a spec camera, two camera's set a fixed distance apart which read your number plate as you pass through both and work out your speed. So no flashes Blue-i warn of these :D
  8. Steve, You souldn't worry about a small 2 litre jobbie, remember desent cars are always 3 litres and bigger. ;)
  9. My dad used to build them in the factory and said they can pass anything but a garage. My boss has a disco and it spends more time in the garage trying to be fixed than it does on the road. My dad got my uncle a 110 on staff discount, my uncle couldnt wait to get rid of it as it spent more time in the garage than he had it. I had a Rover SD1 V8 in the 80's lovely car, sweet engine but the body just rusted away. Sorry nothing now for me but a Lexi PS: I can see the attraction though, as they are good looking and can go anywhere
  10. Mat, The caster/camber? angle is out and so both front tyres (Toyo 245/40/18) are bald on the inside edge, rest of the tread has 7mm left on them. If only I had done the job correctly when changing the springs, I now have to replace the tyres and pay Lexus to correct the suspension.
  11. Andy likes a sleep (remember JAE!!!!!!!!!!) ;) ;)
  12. I bought a Lexus (on my third one) cause I liked it. There was no hidden agenda No my car is better than yours No my car is faster than yours No my car is more expensive than yours If people want to pass comments about how their BMW or whatever car is better, let them they are obviously the ones who have a need to put everything into a pecking order. Often to satisfy their own agenda's Rise above it It's then fun to watch the anticks of the majority :D I like my GS and that is all there is to it. :D
  13. My money's on Andy, Hope you can throw it as far as Germany?
  14. You can fit lowering/uprated springs quite easily and cost is around £160 plus fitting. This will make a difference, changing the dampers imo will start to effect the comfort of the ride against better cornering performance. Don't change the springs without having the suspension laser alined! a £550 mistake I have just made as the front tyres lasted 4k miles without it.
  15. I bought an Origin Blue at the motor show. I went to a stand that was selling all the types available. I asked them as an idependant seller which would they recommend. So, I came away with the Orgin Blue, which will be upgradeable soon to detect Handheld devices as well as fixed. A close second was the new Snopper GPS device which can also detect handheld devices.
  16. I have saved well over a hundred on my TTE alloys Quite a bit on the front spoiler £50 off this coming Fidays service Money of the service before that......................... It has made perfect sense to me to join for lot's of reason's not just the ones above. :D
  17. Chris, Expect it to return approx 30mpg, major services are @ 20k 40k 60k and cost between £250 to £400 (major service) servicing at 10k 30k 50k cost around £180. You need to know if it's had its 40k service yet? They don't go wrong, or very rarely do they. So you should not get stuck with any big bills. Are you buying from a Lexus dealer? i.e with a warranty? Dave
  18. Loz, You can buy a set of the newer lights from www.ebay.com. Lot's of guys in the states have changed their's and say they are a plug and play option. Have you tried using your gold membership to buy a set?
  19. Who saw Sammy and Claire hiding in the background? I saw you
  20. I know we spoke about this on Sunday, but my dealer has sent me two free tickets and passes to the VIP lounge. Chris and I will yet you know what you missed :D :D
  21. I had a good day, and the kids did to (Sporties Daughter and Sporties Son). Shame about the weather, sorry that some people missed us as we tried to shelter from the weather. I took a few pictures so will post them in the gallery. :)
  22. Buzz, Not had this problem on the GS 430, lets hope the dealer can sort it. :)
