  1. Somebody not paid their subs :D
  2. I'll do at least thu + fri. Maybe make a weekend of it too ?
  3. I think Didin is right on this one ... I have an SE which i fitted springs from a '2002 sport' onto. brought it down to 'sport' level ... obviously. The eibach springs can only be 30mm shorter than SE or sport - not both :) Sport was only 15mm lower than SE from 2001 on ... So, 30mm drop on SE and pre-2001 sport, 15mm on sport 2001 and later.
  4. Not quite right ... Normally, redline + fuel cut is at 6250rpm. The 2nd type you mention reduces max rpm to 6200 ... So, engine never reaches enough rpm for fuel cut. Even so, Pre-cats CAN still meltdown, even with this extra protection. The kits TDi have are the first type you mention. Shouldn't be a problem unless you spend long periods at max rpm ...
  5. Agreed ... Stereo is 4yrs warranty isn't it ? Extended due to number of failures ...
  6. Oh and an entry in the 'dealer reviews' would seem appropriate ... Once the matter has been sorted one way or another.
  7. OK, that's fair enough that they delete the current keys and add new ones ... BUT, is the LS like other cars in the range ? A finite number of keys before the whole system has to be replaced ? See what i mean ? They've used up one of your 'oops, lost a key' lives ... If you then lose a key and the 'finite number' is reached... You're stuffed. And no doubt they won't then volunteer to pay for the new lock system. We're not talking pennies either - i think it's thousands. Worth at least asking whether this is the case. If so, i'd be inclined to insist they restore the position prior to loss of keys. WITH written proof it's done (comeback in case they just say they've done it). Think of it as an incentive for them to be a little less 'sloppy' in their work :D
  8. Ok - done that ... B) Good luck with it
  9. I'm not fussed either way. I assume the plan is to stay same place as last time ? I've already booked the time off work too B)
  10. If Steve 'goes into one' you all better cover yourselves up ... He starts dribbling and throwing food and drink all down himself :D Though this may be restricted to times when he's wearing new clothes Anyway .... I'll probably do Harwich -> Hoek via Stena HSS (cool boat huh Chris). That'll be the Thursday morning sailing arriving about 16.00. Then drive across Holland into Germany and on to Koln. Anticipate arriving sometime around 8pm if memory serves. Mat - is it a block hotel booking or fend for yourself ? L8r TG All for one .... and every man for himself :duh:
  11. H O W M U C H ?? That's over 20psi .... Struth .... Are you running a 1:1 compression ratio or something :duh: :D :iraqi-info-minister: :D
  12. V6 ?? :iraqi-info-minister: Well that just stinks ... NOT impressed at all ... :megaangry:
  13. Cheers for that chaps... I know Tydemans do the repairs and stuff, and will give them a shout. Seems a bit of overkill for a chip though! OK then - a touch up set from the dealer costs under a fiver :duh:
  14. Nice ... B) And i see they came with a free set of red calipers too ... Bonus :D
  15. WOW ... What a very informative and extremely well written description Fame at last
  16. Not sure if this is any help .... but ... Tydemans in Crowfield (Nr Stowmarket) are the repairer used by Lexus Ipswich. Not that that constitutes any kind of recommendation ... just for info.
  17. Oops, disregard that last bit, Just read the thread in gold forums ... :iraqi-info-minister:
  18. Are you sure that's not just the reflection off your tyres :shutit: :iraqi-info-minister:
  19. Hugely LOL @ Mat ... Just visualise him arriving home and typing the post with the front door still swinging shut :D In fact, surprised he didn't make the post before leaving Koln Well done Mat - i'm sure we're all very impressed .. and jealous How was Chris's visit ?
  20. That IS good news Steve. Are they going to cover your expenses too or is that going a bit far ??
  21. Good job the car lives on a runway ... Doesn't look like it's gonna be turning corners any time soon :D
