  1. I know what you mean ... Crazes yer tits doesn't it :) Surface mount hinge + gasram mechanism seems a much better idea. Also, all the rods etc under the shelf must vibrate like hell if you run a subwoofer.
  2. I think we'll find the dusty road is closed this year ... And we're nowhere near it anyway :D
  3. How many people are now rifling through their Alan Partridge collection ... To see if his car was manual or auto :D
  4. I struggled with mine too ... Eventually fed a ratchet down the side, hooking it behind ... Then a quick tug ( yes yes, ha ha ) released the lugs .. And after all that, the poxy wires weren't long enough for the light to come out. The owners manual implies the wiring should be long enough to remove them. Had to get at it from behind through the wheelarch liner to release. :iraqi-info-minister:
  5. The window would back off to prevent jamming fingers or such like. As Mat says, probably an oversensitive trip out. Unless the glass is tight / dragging in the runners and not free to move easily ? Or it thinks ... Hell it's sunny, get dat damn window open :iraqi-info-minister:
  6. Perfect sense ... A completely true and accurate description of everyone here
  7. Hmmm .. Goosey suddenly feels very 'common' .... Blue IS200 at the moment .... and previously this ... http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/Mis...DSC00016?full=1 L8r Goose ( clearly lacking in individuality )
  8. Or would it have been one of these ?? http://www.sportscarworld.ltd.uk/acatalog/...E_GLAZES_9.html
  9. Agreed ... I can't imagine what on earth prompted this HUGE welcome Don't recall one quite as friendly as this before I blame :zee: Zee :zee: He's just WAY too polite by half And what does the colour matter ... just as long as it's a BMW ... Errrrrr i mean Lexus ... Phew, that was a close one :iraqi-info-minister: L8r all Goose Oh, by the way ... did anyone say welcome yet ?? :shutit: BLUE
  10. Errr .. you obviously forgot about the Fiat Multipla ..... :duh: :yack: :yack:
  11. Could permanently assign one of your private IP's to the server, Then put a static translation to a registered address in the router ... Or if the router supports it, assign one ethernet port as a dmz. Plug the server in there ... Sorry not familiar with the zoom but ... You'd want it to provide some sort of firewall capability for this kind of thing. Hmm, not sure that's any help at all :duh:
  12. GOLD, GOLD, GOLD There hows that And so Mr Shipley approached his sales targets chasing commission :shutit:
  13. Hmmm, i think i'm unlikely to get away with that one ... Specially If someone spots i joined up months ahead of Zee :zee: :iraqi-info-minister:
  14. Welcome ... :zee: Zee ? Polite ?? only if it's new members of the fairer s*x When i joined he told me to sod off So, who tipped you off about the site ? Oh, and what sort of beemer have you swapped from ?
  15. If they're broken up, then you 'might' be able to knock them out .. if you have a very long implement that goes round bends :D Otherwise, cut the cannisters open and remove the contents. Then weld them closed again. Looks nice and standard Actually, thinking about it, pipework is probably aluminised ... So, you'll probably need to braze it back together rather than weld <_<
  16. I think they're a zymol detailing centre ...
  17. I've been meaning to get a load of that for about a year now :D When i enquired initially, they were out of stock of several items. But yes it does seem to get very good reviews doesn't it ... Even taking into account the 'enthusiasm' our stateside cousins sometimes exhibit :D No offence intended to anybody by the way
  18. Nakamichi or Fujitsu-Ten i think you'll find. Possibly Pioneer are involved somewhere too i think.
  19. He finally twisted together the last 2 wires to activate his 'hyperneon' rear number plate :D
  20. Mat didn't change the colour of his rear lamps. He bought a set of white ones - the last set if memory serves. He did however change the colour of headlamps + front fogs. There, i think that clarifies it .... Now enter stage left ... Mat ... very cross coz people not reading his posts properly :shutit: :D
  21. Hmmm ... Well i tried it on an IS200 in Wiltshire the other day ... Not sure what the outcome was though :ban-em:
  22. Hmmm, that gives me an idea ... Go for a wander round the local neighbourhood armed with a bottle of oil ... When you find a house with a hugely posh car in the drive .... Pour a bit of oil on the ground underneath the posh car Who was it said you 'grow up' as you get older :iraqi-info-minister: Then i s'pose park nearby in your 'emergency motor mechanic' liveried vehicle ... and wait for the business to roll in :D Then leave as the 'rogue traders' tv crew approach .... returning to your day job as a 'luxury vehicle detailer' PML :iraqi-info-minister:
  23. Wildrnes + MsW .... You 2 make me laugh infact laugh lots
  24. The latest IS / GS / LS nav CD is V3.7 (May 2002) I don't think it's got any postcode input. It does add 'house no. input' to GS + LS systems (IS already had this). Maybe that's the confusion ... I'll confirm it later but from memory, i think that part code looks right.
