  1. Then i suggest you call the RAC instead. A couple of (not very) special tools and NO damage ... When you know how, it's not actually that difficult :winky:
  2. Look out for a silver IS with awesome bodystyling and slightly large Blitz alloys. We're talking 10x18 on the rear with 315 wide tyres It'll most likely be on a trade stand Sadly was without camera when i saw it last week
  3. Hadn't realised 'Which' did a magazine ... Thought it was just a prize draw with a NO envelope
  4. Take the day off guys .... Celebrate in style. Oh, and get the cakes in :P
  5. Errr, yep ... and lots and lots of stuff before them ... Now, where's me bus pass :duh:
  6. Where's Rogue when you need him ? THE plate meister himself Does he hang out on the TOC forum at all ? Might be worth seeking him out for your plate needs 'You must unlearn what you have learned'
  7. What do those red lines on the side of the road mean
  8. It's no big deal .. Modern car wiring is made just big enough to do the job ... usual rules apply ... cost saving, weight etc etc. In some cases there may be a benefit in beefing it up. Most likely are 'engine -> body' and 'body -> battery'. No need to buy fancy kits ... except for the 'bling bling' value :zee: Just beefing up (or doubling up) the existing cable will do the same. Done this on several previous cars but as part of the ICE install.
  9. Hmmm, well that's a rare treat ... A movie clip in which the 'goose' character doesn't get killed
  10. Firstly, soz for coming across as a berk and asking your screen name!!! :D Aha, that was you was it .. I struggle coz few people's names here bear any resemblance to their real name. Just after you asked, the lady showing me to the car said on a previous event, some guy had asked for his ID card with the name 'Wilderbeast' I quickly corrected her ... You mean 'Wildrnes' .. Ahh yes, that was it ... LOL @ Mat :D :D Clearly made an impression mate :winky: Think i saw J-boss ... and his pop. 03 reg blue IS leaving as i was re-arriving after another drive round. That reverse camera parking in the RX is mighty clever ... Bit of a 'leap of faith' though staring at the TV while parking the car Tried IS200 + 300 too ... Just to remind myself that neither are as quick as an IS200 Compressor B) Yes, twas a good afternoon ...
  11. Uh Oh ... Don't make him angry .... you wouldn't like him when he's angry :megaangry: :shutit:
  12. Saw a nice set of Blitz wheels on an IS200 today. Rears were 10x18 and shod with 315 section rubber And NO that isn't a misprint ... If you're going to the MaxPower show, look out for it. Silver IS, very tasteful front + rear airdams, awesome bonnet. I'm not usually one for bodykits ... but this car looks amazing.
  13. I had to do that a couple of times coz the previous local dealer didn't offer courtesy cars unless you insured them. It's becoming more and more common. I think the reason is the dealers insurers place a HUGE excess on the policy. More than the dealer is willing to gamble on ... A decent insurance policy WILL cover you for courtesy car use. I just call mine to notify them and it's no problem. The new local dealer seem to cover the insurance side too ... So i don't need to worry about it now ...
  14. Hmmm, thinly veiled suggestion i should go on a diet me thinks
  15. Turtle Wax is best .... Meguires is the spawn of satan !
  16. Rejoice everyone ... Rumours of death at the hands of western infidels are greatly exagerated. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_ea...ast/3024046.stm Praise be to allah :D
  17. Jeans it is then ... Do i dare couple them with the LOC polo shirt ? Would that be a bit geeky dya think ? :shutit: C'mon then, let's get the 'wot not to wear' fashiontips over with
  18. Maybe the car started out as a new beetle ... The hippo sat on it .... And you see the result :D
  19. Is it still the case that if Lexus (or alarm supplier) don't pay to renew their subs for an alarm / immobiliser, Thatcham delete it from their 'approved' list .. Then half the insurers won't touch you 'til you get a different one ? When i used to do installs, Thatcham / VSIB was all a big con ... About 100quid per pad of a dozen or so 'VSIB installed' forms :megaangry: I'm sure someone got (or is getting) very rich from that bunch of racketeering :eerrrmm:
  20. Not sure i should admit this ... I built something like this a lot of years ago ... we're talking mid eighties ... It switched 12v so could use decent size lamps rather than led's ... I used lamps like in your interior light .. y'know, with a cap at each end. It was only 10 or 12 channels though (i think - long time ago an' all that) Also did a mains version but this was triggered by the i/o port on a pc. Well, that's if a BBC micro counts as a pc Did a proggy to sequence them any way you wanted ... or randomly. Oh and piped hifi into the a->d port so could be sound synced too Oh the joys of a mispent youth ... I'm sure today i'd be doing drugs and mugging old dears instead. Coz that's progress and human rights isn't it :eerrrmm: Hmmm, now where did i put me pension book and bus pass
  21. Those mock limbs you can get to jam in doors, windows, filing cabinets etc Shove a couple of arms in there hanging out or something ... Make it look like you mowed someone down :D
  22. Ooh Ooh, YES YES ... ME ME ME Same session ... Obviously i'll be in LOC 'attire' ... Better than all that red carnation and copy of vogue bollox :yack: See ya there ..
