  1. Works ok for me ... www.nemesisperformance.co.uk Found the kit in the 'store' section. Kit is produced in house.
  2. I used to use 'Nitrox Hot Shot' occasionally. About 7quid a pot. The really bright orange pot ... >50% methanol if memory serves. Used as a periodic fuel system clean but gave car a bit of a pep while it lasted. Not used it in the IS though - Hmm, praps i should ..
  3. I foresee TDI plc expanding their range of goodies to accomodate this
  4. The throttle position wire (white + red) is for throttle valve opening. There is another signal (VPA) into ecu on pin 15 plug D (Light Green + Black stripe). This is the accel position signal - indicates pedal position i guess. IS200 has motorised throttle valve, maybe S-AFR would use pedal position instead ? RPM wire (black + white) is crankshaft signal into ecu. Maybe output from ecu (TACH) to rev meter is better ? Black wire on pin 12 plug A. ECU plugs go A B C D E with A nearest the front of the car. Hope that helps.
  5. Isn't that something that happens under the bonnet ?? Must be something done at the service then surely :D How does one gain access to there? One must ask jeeves
  6. Is that what the 'Return of the Capri' stuff in the press has been about ??
  7. Oops .... During 7k rpm / 120mph hard cornering / tailslide action..... Cider was sloshing all over the sides of their pint glasses Yikes man - dinney waste it :shutit:
  8. Not sure what performance advantage (if any)... TTE claim reduced back pressure leads to an improvement. Tail is single straight exit 102mm diameter. Part code for purchase from UK dealer network... PZ439-C0710-00 ( for standard rear bumper - ie without skirt ) £225.02+vat which equates to £264.40 inc. This excludes any discount (gold etc) you may be able to secure.
  9. Don't count on it. Mine is a 2001 build and has a judder. Clutch was replaced under warranty and was no better. Then clutch + flywheel + slave cylinder and now worse. Dealer has requested the car back in later this month. Think they're getting techies from Lexus in to investigate I just dare them to say 'they all do that' or 'needs some revs' They'll be mentally scarred for life if they try that bull with me
  10. Is it just me or can anyone else see the clouds moving in Yep, definitely feel a storm brewing round here :D
  11. Happy birthday you p|55head :D Decided to come back off holiday then B) Glad you had a good ( :yack: :yack: ) one
  12. Just for info ... TTE springs are available from UK Lexus dealers. These are basically rebadged Eibach's Part code.. PZ439-C0721-00 £166.77 + VAT = £195.95inc. This excludes any discount you can get and of course fitting charges.
  13. Tony Goose ( Yes, that really IS my name ) :P Live in Felixstowe, Suffolk - about 100yds from the beach. Nothing grand at all.... just a small apartment.... Currently 37 though constantly asked for ID in pubs Technically single + without baggage.. Scrummy g/f has MX5 B) Work in IT support for 'Port of Felixstowe' Unilaterally piloting semi casual dresscode IS200 SE with nav - had from new Jun 2001. Few subtle tweaks - most of which are sitting in my hallway. No sense putting them on the car - they'll only get dirty :duh: Favourite smilie from those on left :iraqi-info-minister: Oh and this one from chatroom
  14. Yep - got that... somewhere down in seatbelt thingy where you plug it in. When creaking, if i pull belt tight or slacken off a bit, noise stops.. briefly! Mmm, well i get some creaking from sunroof when open. It's the plastic surround. If you prod it, you can easily tell where the noise is coming from. Ahhhh one of biggest gripes. How can anyone say this is normal.. Sit shuffling in traffic having to keep revving just to move a few feet Need more revs??? BOLLOX - Just needs good quality parts more like. Had 2 clutches + flywheel + slave cyl. Now it's worse than ever... Poor dealer is doing his best - it's Lexus letting the side down here badly. This.. praps alongside flakey transmission really should be a 'recall' job!! Think i may suggest they fit another brand of clutch - TRD perhaps ... It's pretty clear the standard part is of very poor + inconsistent quality
  15. Must admit i found it hard to believe .... Ok lads + lasses... round to said supplier to administer a right shoeing
  16. Advice i got from TTE was ... 19x8 ET 45 with 225/35 tyre = ok... same but with 235 tyre = likely to give problems !!
  17. :D :D Gotta let the guy have at least a BIT of fun don't we Maybe i'll see what i can do later if need be Oh and if you're soldering onto the existing wires ..... << :P Mat knows what's coming next :P >> DON'T be tempted to blow the solder dry.... You might cause it to crack and make a bad joint :winky: Hmmmm, visions of molten solder sitting in a chair, rolling a spliff :duh: B)
  18. Were the tatties and veg any good then :shutit:
  19. Info as seen where wires connect to engine ECU. Intake Vacuum ========== 'PIM' terminal on ECU, Wire is Green + Red stripe (Pin 9, Plug D). Throttle Position =========== 'VTA' terminal on ECU, Wire is White with Red stripe (Pin 23, Plug D). 0.4-1.0 volt with ignition on and throttle fully closed. 3.2-4.8 volt with ignition on and throttle fully open. Intake Vacuum + Throttle Position share the same +5v supply. Wire for this is Blue with Yellow stripe (Pin 2, Plug D). Engine RPM (Crankshaft Sensor) ====================== 'NE+' terminal on ECU, Shielded wire, Black with White stripe (Pin 23, Plug E). Hope that helps but i accept no responsibility for errors or omissions
  20. Cancelled Due to lack of interest... Maybe i'll wash my bike instead B)
  21. How about a retro games console - play 'jet pack' or 'chuckie egg' and so on :D Mmmm, spose that's easily done on the pc bit innit ... Probably get enough code on a pic chip to do that anyway :shutit:
  22. I might be wrong... but seem to remember... mem no's all going tits up around the time the 'new' forums were launched.
  23. Possibly - if they have the moonroof open :duh: :zee:
