  1. sitting on the garage floor it would be wouldn't it :D yes yes... i know... anus I had the juddery clutch which is pretty much cured now. 3 clutch assemblies, 1 slave cylinder and 2 flywheels later I was advised that a 'different' flywheel has now been fitted... though it apparently has the same part number. Also, the service procedure for installation had been revised. But that's just what i was told - not sure how accurate the info is.
  2. Ha Ha :arrrggg-matey: At least you and i make the effort to buy the originals where possible. I've no probs with duplicates / compilations etc where rights to use are in place. Typically this means buying the cd but could be a download if sanctioned by artist. Theft is theft... Agreed - makes you laugh doesn't it ... Some must spend more stealing music, producing the cd's, labels etc than it costs to buy :duh: Anyway, i'm sure you must see my point.... There's those who obtain tunes legitimately + use as they will - no probs there. Then there's those who never buy any + go to huge lengths to steal everything. May the germs from a million Netsky + Bagel worms infest their pc's for all eternity
  3. He He - you think so ? So even Mr Ellen can't tell if i'm being serious or not now - coooollll B) :winky:
  4. That sounds reasonable, as does making compilations from cd's you've bought. Simply ripping them from the net (ie. intellectual property theft) is dubious. In my book, such criminals rank up there with car thieves + muggers. A worrying indication of some peoples morals isn't it... First thought when deciding they want something... < Hmmm, where can i steal (download) it from ? > MP3 sound quality is inferior to normal CD which in turn is inferior to a vinyl LP. In fact, pretty much any audio visual 'digital' format is inferior to its analogue predecessor. Progress ?? Hmmm, Gates version of Darwins evolution theories must be infecting further afield I weep for the future... probably too late so i'll weep for the present too !!
  5. From Beeb news .. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3584883.stm $1.1768 (or about 67pence) for a GALLON ?? I know a US gallon is different from ours but even so....
  6. Or as a completely off the wall and seemingly unheard of solution ... You could try 'buying' some cd's pre-pressed with music already on them. Bizarre i know but even places like woolworths seem to sell them these days. Or if funds are in short supply, try cdwow - better value from there. Clearly though, funds aren't in short supply... given the 100's or 1000's you'll spend on kit to play your stolen music. Apparently, some money from proper cd's goes to the recording artist. This is to provide food and clothes for their families and so on. Thus equipped, they can then continue to produce their music. Regarding "I have 1000's of MP3 albums." May i suggest admin passes the posters details to the police and f.a.c.t.
  7. Huh ?? Someone call Autobahn speed limit is 80km/h... It's true It's true in places when it's very wet

  10. Didn't know you could get black led's :duh:
  11. Ooh, wait a sec Rob ... I have a 'no pre-cat' manifold, tte zorst + K+N filter. Should have mentioned that before i guess On that basis, you're probably not too far off the mark
  12. Hmm, wonder how that happened... I took part in that survey and gave them a right shoeing :D
  13. The years it'll take for the appeals process renders it all irrelevant anyway
  14. I'd add they look good when being followed ... Specially the fireworks B) Hmmm, possibly more of a blonde wig than a boffins hat there
  15. Am i the only one who doesn't really go for those 'angry' style front airdams Veilside catalog = :yack:
  16. How about calling dealers near the channel ports in Belguim or France. Combine it with a shopping trip and save even more money :D Sounds odd but people have done it coz the service cost was waaaaay cheaper.
  17. Uh Oh... And I just got in from buying a book of 25 tickets for my local pool Incidentally, the pool is a few hundred yards from where i live. So, if banned, do i swim in the sea instead - 200yds from my front door :D
  18. From 3krpm in 3rd to 60mph still in 3rd took about 4.5 secs. Did it several times and was the same give or take a tenth or 2. Any help ??
  19. That will never happen. It will just be designed better. There again the new model won't be using a 25 year old engine either. Well let's just hope they don't start including fly by wire steering and brakes too then :D
  20. Just to clarify, when i say i can't see them, I can see the website ok... i mean i can't see them displayed on the plates. They have to be there according to the 'letter of the law'
  21. 1) is a problem with clutch / flywheel. Mine was the same but is now fixed after 3 new clutches + 2 new flywheels. Dealer said fitting procedure for flywheel updated to ensure completely smooth. Also thought flywheel slightly different although it has same part number. 2) i notice this too. It's a feature not a bug according to Lexus. I consider it poor design but i don't think there's much chance of any fix. Lift off throttle, fuel is switched off so car decelerates. As revs approach idle (can be nearly 2k if still cold) fuel switches back on. Car then lurches forward... or rather decelerates much less sharply. It's a combination of poorly implemented fly by wire throttle + overrun fuel cut. Let's hope they give throttle control back to the driver in the next model
  22. Yes you'd think that would be the case... wouldn't you
  23. Can't see contact details of the plate producer or the BS no. They won't be legal without them ... Even if they do follow the 'letter of the law', I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of keep explaining how to Mr plod.
  24. Ahem You're not the only one :iraqi-info-minister: Oh and not forgetting the congrats on your new motor B)
