  1. Oh... So that's how those parties work
  2. To look at you'll barely notice the difference. But to the touch, the refurbs are just soooo much smoother.
  3. Dealer will obtain FIVE refurb wheels from Pristine or similar. Swap tyres to refurbed wheels and send old ones back. The refurb ones have ... backface machined smoother - ie not ridged as they are originally. sharp edges smoothed off on backs of spokes etc. Re-machined fronts again with sharp edges smoothed. Coated in lots of lots of shiny smooth lacquer. Much easier to keep clean - and don't rip your hands apart doing so. Personally, offered the choice, I'd take the refurbs over new ones.
  4. You should be so lucky :P
  5. I'm pretty sure in the states all service info etc must be publicly available by law. Not just cars but everything ....
  6. Should we chuck 350Z into the pot :)
  7. Normal ? No, definitely not. Common on IS200 ? Sadly yes it would appear so. Fronts seem to exhibit wear associated with excessive 'toe-out' alignment. Speaking to a colleague, I gather Mondeo's are prone to this too. In the Fords case, it's due to some bushes which wear out quickly. Coincidentally, i asked Lexus about this earlier today - await reply. Just had new tyres fitted. Old fronts 4mm or so except inside edge which is bald. Regular alignment checks (by lexus) - most recently Feb at TTE - always ok. I've suggested the following possibilities to Lexus ... 1) Static alignment ok but changes once moving - something worn / broken ? 2) Alignment specs in manuals / alignment gear are in error ? 3) Specs chosen by tyre manufacturers - Lexus possibly on commission See if they have a solution - hope so given that lots of people have the same problem.
  8. Ask your girlfriend if she'd like to try instead :P
  9. So now you can push your car round like a wheelbarrow .... :zee:
  10. Surely the issue is with Lexus Croydon. The wheels should have been replaced before the car was sold. If it's been bought from a Lexus dealer, did you not get a 12month warranty anyway ? I'd take it up with the dealer principal there. Aren't Croydon one of the 'regularly let the side down' brigade ??
  11. Steve mate you've been had. Lexus comes with 3yr (or 60k mile) europe wide manufacturers warranty. Here's a snippet from the service / warranty booklet .... quote. What happens if i sell my Lexus? The Lexus warranty is automatically transferred at no cost to subsequent owners. endquote.
  12. Oh dear - just look at all that washer fluid going to waste
  13. When it's making the noise, try slackening your seatbelt or pulling it tighter. If it quietens for a while, it's likely the stalks that you click the seatbelt into. Dealer replaced mine - nice and quiet now B) Others have had success by periodically lubricating where they attach to the seat. [edit] Hmm, having re-read original post, this might not be relevant :duh:
  14. I have 2 sets of suspension here, 1 x 2001 SE, 1 x 2002 Sport. Respective shocks from each set have identical part numbers.
  15. C.A.B. may also be able to give some pointers
  16. Yeah just rip the pump right out the ground and turn it on it's head I find if i put the nozzle in only just through the plastic flap in the neck restrictor it's fine. Still PML about 'turn the pump upside down'
  17. Could just be for the sound ... Do Janspeed managers get automatic life membership to the 'Old Sarum NovaSaxo Owners Club'
  18. Interesting to look at the metal pipe from the side of the s/c. It's got a large 'JANSPEED' logo branded into it - Hmmm....
  19. Presumably the seller is a Janspeed employee - given the pictures and location. Lexus GB supplied Janspeed with s/c kits to do some development work - apparently ;) No reason not to have a blow off valve i s'pose... if that's what it is. The tube into the throttle body looks a bit different too...
  20. Mmm, was looking at that earlier. Some interesting bits ... Has a seperate clutch reservoir instead of tee'd into brakes. Looks like a blow off valve fitted... above alternator. Airbox appears to be early f/glass type so very early kit. Interesting...
  21. And the manifold, intake piping, extra injector(s), ecu mods etc etc are where ?
  22. It's also still an issue on the current toyota's :duh:
