  2. You flashed them your Mercedes keys ??
  3. Steve you're such a spoilsport... If you hadn't changed your car, i could use the .... "Oh just motor round and moor up alongside" Joke... :iraqi-info-minister:
  4. Glad i wasn't the only one to spot that - was feeling right geeky Similar arrangement on that Janspeed car on ebay recently ...
  5. Ha Ha :) Yeah i asked tte about that too. Answer went that it was just a bought in item with a TTE badge stuck on. So who's gonna identify what make it is ?
  6. Am i remembering this correctly ?? These are the ones for 25quid off ebay :P Sorry but someone had to... and it might as well be me :iraqi-info-minister: Coat i'll my get
  7. Ditto... Booked... Late afternoon session B)
  8. Regarding the radio delay... Do you have 'traffic' switched on ? TA in display ? I've known the radio to mute for a while when it is ...
  9. Differing amounts of tread on tyres ??
  10. I thought several people who fitted B+M shifter had this problem ?
  11. Yes you should. As part of the installation (at TTE anyway), a '98' label is applied inside the fuel flap.
  12. Aha... The nice noise is due to the K+N. Put that together with a nice exhaust and it sounds sweeeeettt You need to go find some tunnels to play in :)
  13. 1st service = 10k or 1yr (whichever occurs 1st) 2nd service = 20k or 2yr (whichever occurs 1st) 3rd service = 30k or 3yr (whichever occurs 1st) there's a pattern forming here :) So, you should already have had 2 services and this would be your 3rd.
  14. Charcoal - but the lumpwood stuff, not that cacky briquette stuff ! Sounds like yet another area where convenience (lazyness) is winning over quality :(
  15. It will cost you your excess ... And as it's 'knock 4 knock', your insurance record is tarnished. One way or another, they WILL get even more premium out of you.
  16. Sorry to see that - Not a pretty sight :( Could the paint damage not be done as part of the screen claim ? With my insurance it's 'screen + associated paint damage'. Just had new screen + 2 pillars and scuff in roof done on this basis.
  17. Originally had Bridgestone RE040 (as fitted new) = Very good. Lasted 20k miles. Replaced with Bridgestone S03PP = Extremely awesome. Tore through those in 15k :) Just replaced with OEM Dunlop SP9000 = Not impressed so far :(
  18. A couple of other thoughts ... A friendly garage with chaps who know about cars... and mending them. Rather than just follow flowcharts in manuals and lost if it involves anything more. Brands garage, High Rd, Trimley St Mary. Worth popping along to see them. I'd say mention i sent you but they might shoot me next time i see them :) Oh and a clever auto electrics guy - name escapes me... Gavin possibly ? Marine + Auto electrics. Looks like they're on Elton Park Ind Est now, Hadleigh Rd.
  19. Could try Bristos who used to be toyota / lexus dealer (now renault) Some of their techs moved with the franchises but might be lucky. Also they opened a service centre on the entrance to Hadleigh Rd ind estate. One of the ex Lexus techs (Chris) went there. Maybe he can advise. Only other thing i can think is ask the dealers who sell jpn imports. Peter Brown on felixstowe rd and Mayfields wherever they are now. Maybe they have someone to deal with things they can't handle ?
  20. There's 2 versions of the TTE zorst. One for standard car, another for 'skirted' car. Latter has a slightly longer tailpipe.
  21. I thought the position was 'Centre Host' not receptionist It's probably because the job requires multi-tasking skills. Generally speaking, women are much better at that than men.
  22. The Lexus / Toyota locking nuts are rebranded 'Trilocks' The design has changed relatively recently. Earlier type have 3 holes in the nut or bolt head with matching prongs in the key. Oh and a cover to make it look like the rest of the nuts / bolts. Later type have a wavy trench in the nut or bolt head, again with a matching key. No covers on these. Design change probably because any competent thief has a universal '3 prong' key these days. Not that you need one - pretty easy to get off anyway.
