  6. I have Nokian WR's, Im very happy with them...from the little snow we had last winter I had no trouble navigating the country roads that didnt get gritted.
  7. My IS200 along with many others creak when turning at low speeds and the final 'stop' of braking. Its the pads moving in the calipers...short term fix is copper grease between the pad and caliper housing, do not get the grease between the pad and disc. My car has been doing this for some time, it stopped for about a month when I had new disc's and pads fitted.
  8. If i remember rightly the V tread goes all the way to the edge (like the Eagle F1) of one tyre, the other is the same V tread but has a kinda block tread on each edge...I expect the full V tread has better handling characteristics in both wet and dry.
  9. Im sure it wouldnt be too difficult to change, would probably be, take that one out and get a VW glue on type. Welcome to LOC, where in Essex are you?
  10. Does the noise go if you put your foot on the clutch?...if so its common, something to do with a bearing in the clutch system.

  16. Tony at WIM would be able to explain this...The IS200 setup is wrong, Tony has sorted it to improve handling and best of all tyre wear. cheack out the Wheels In Motion website.

  18. Supra...wanted one for ages, was very close to getting one too :winky:
  19. hi. Vibration could just be tracking, wheel balencing, or buckled wheel. If they are connected the only thing i could think of is front ball joints, the way i have been told to check this is to go to each front wheel and with hands at 9 and 3 o-clock rock the wheel back and forth and also with hands at 12 o-clock rock the top, if you get any play and knocking theres an indication...Its easier if the car is jacked up as you can then hold the wheel at 6 o-clock also. Im sure that if im wrong on this one somebody will put you right.
