  1. Yup me too, good way to waste the petrol :D
  2. my g/f has them on here polo, the short moment where your cleaning the windscreen you can't see s**t all! don't really like them but they do seem to do the final job better. plus she don't have unsightly jets on her bonnet.
  3. I did £10 once, it didn't really make any difference to my fuel guage. i get 300miles to 3/4 tank driving like an old woman. using BP ultimate or whetever it is now. thats commuting too and from work.
  4. Nice one, I liked the concrete part. :D
  5. I got a black bag melted to my exhaust ages ago, stunk for about a week, i get whiffs still
  6. I have cusco front and rear, oval type. rear goes on fine. front with standard airbox mine resonated on the airbox so i made up some 3mm spacer shimms to go onto the suspension top mount bits. when i got my prolex induction kit it was a little higher so it hit the induction kit again, with this i modified the strut bar and cut a small section out but without cutting into the middle lip of the strut bar (to keep its strength) Don't really notice any difference with the strut bars, steering maybe a little crisper than without the bar. Next time i think i will spend my money on ARB's
  7. your washer jets are probably bloked, get a needle/pin and push them into your jets on your bonnet (like your adjusting the angle) give them a little poke around and that may loosen any grit/muck in the jets.
  8. John, Do you know where there stand will be? I may run this time, more chances of beating something :) but if im up against a sooped up corsa or sh*ttychento and loose then it may be time to go home early.
  9. I'm waiting for a sale on side skirts...plat' ice if anybody wants to save me from waiting?
  10. Hi This is part of the 'Knowledge' section, take a look. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ndex_v1&c=5
  11. I went to Winfell a few years ago, it was great, also some good drives round there, look out for Kirkston Pass, centre parcs gate security advised us :) I wanna go again!
  12. I put my tyres on at the start of november, i find no difference in road noise wet or dry, however i do have a Kazama sports back box so that makes a fare bit of noise. the tyres have MS stamp on them and with there being a few farms near me they are also good going onto muddy sections of the road. because the tyres are not Z rated i have also kept my speed in mind and the fastest i have probably been with them is 90 and maybe 100 on a short burst, mainly 75mph on motorways. Because of this i have not driven my car too hard through corners but it does still feel pretty solid and have found no difference in stopping distance. I have noticed the tread going down, mainly on the rear but i think i will get another 2 years from them, with them being swapped round. (so long as the side walls don't crack) They are certainly better than my Goodyear Eagle F1's at winter grip, wet probably about the same, Dry the Goodyears will last longer and i would be happier to drive harder...So the Goodyears are going on about March time.
  13. After our bit of snow i have managed to put my winter tyres to use I have Nokian WR's I live in the country and we had a fare halping of snow (everywhere was covered), some roads not gritted i had no troubles at all, managed to do my drive to work with no t/c or snow control, even managed to get up hills (had trouble with my Goodyear F1's with less snow) Only time the car become unsettled was when I had a play at work in our car park :) Had a little weight in my boot, shovel, box of grit salt, and first aid kit. I would buy these tyres again and I would rate them 9/10 because there maybe better tyres that im not aware off. Good price too! Im pretty sure the tyres are 225/45/17 (7.5x17 GS wheels) narrower tyres will probably be even better. I no longer fear snow :)
  14. Foreman for a company that improves industries energy usage, :duh: quite complicated but it uses capacitors and often reactors and is called Power Factor. ;)

  17. I have not taken the aerial off my car but i have taken the rear pillars out to take off a mobile phone aerial off my rear screen, the lead for this run through the headliner. As a guess and memory i would say the aerial is routed from the head unit going drivers side of the car and up through the head liner. I think you would probably get away with unclipping the rear section of the headliner to put the new aerial in place. Best person to advise on this i would say is Mat, as he has probably seen every inch of the monster.
  18. Mine cost £495 with VAT however the crank shaft pully split so that cost £210 to replace along with the labour, Had all fluids, filters and belts changed. That was with my local garage that i have used for years.
  19. This is something i will be doing on next service but want to get prepared, what size bottles do you need or do they only come in one size? I have an LSD any recomendations? Do you get these from Halfords or Lex?
  20. I love them, they seem to have held there money quite well too.
