    I plan to keep mine until the 2005 facelift model is available, hopefully there will be a new high performance model then.

    I'm up for a karting session, there is a new track just opened near Broughton Astley, Leicestershire. Somebody told me about it, they said it was very good. I'll try to find out some more details if you like.

    I've now got at least ten chips along the edge of my bonnet, a couple are quite large. The paint seems very brittle and easy to chip. After seeing those links posted by Gordon, I am thinking of going down to the dealer and seeing what they have to say, quoting from the link "This slightly elastic surface shrugs off damage from stones and gravel". If we all go to our dealers quoting that and showing then our stone chips we might get a reaction for Lexus GB, what do you think? [Edited on 13-6-2002 by JOHNNY-BOY]

    AutoGlass rang me today, to inform me that Toyota have told them there are only two type of windscreen for the IS and both of these have turned out to be incorrect. I then gave them the part number Chris got for me, they said they would call Toyota. Got a call back saying that is for the new model, I said what the 2002 model? That mine is and I told you 3 weeks ago! They said my car must have been assembled during the model change, so a new windscreen is on order will be here in about 2 days. I'll keep you posted.

    I started this thread back on the 20/5/02, AutoGlass came to fit new screen on 22/5/02 but it was the wrong type, different mirror mounting. So they took my chassis number and ordered another, came on 30/5/02. Guess what, wrong type again same fault. Ordered another, came today 11/6/02, wrong again. Different problem, right mirror mounting but no window to view VIN number. Just spoke to AutoGlass, they say only 2 options available, has anybody else had these problems with a replacement windscreen?

    The engine does not seem to "hunt", revs are very stable; I have 4,500 miles on the clock now. I can just feel the whole car moving each way slightly when stationary.:?:

    When warm tick over is just over 500RPM, when cold starts at 1200 reducing as engine warms up.
