  1. When I collected my car the dealer said one press locks the car and a second press within five seconds activates the dead locks. As Matt said I can hear the locks doing something on the second press. I don't get five flashes , did Lexus change the system on the 2002 model?
  2. Give it ten minutes then, as your soooooo good at keeping your mouth shut
  3. I'm still looking for a nice exhaust that is a bit different. There are plenty available for the IS300, can anybody highlight any problems I might have if I fit an aftermarket 300 box onto my 200? Or is it even possible, no body seems sure when I have enquired.
  4. £14,000.00 for a new IS200 in Italy :o (£18,500.00 official price) It's good being part of "Europe" hey!!
  5. Yes I have, I used them to repair stone chip damage. I was very impressed with the job they did, the chap I used in Leicester works within a unit not from the back of a van so the conditions are better. I will send you his details if you want?
  6. Welcome to the club Kardon, what colour & specification have you gone for?
  7. Very well, I am impressed with how controlable it is and the results are very good. Thanks for the tip.
  8. You can buy it on their website but more stores are starting to carry stock now. In Leicester I have seen it in Graham Goode and a small local store, I think they may be part of the A1 chain.
  9. Hard to say mate, but £20 - £30 should easily cover it. I used the Leicester branch, he has got a good set-up. He has a unit where you take your car so he does not work out the back of a van, the unit is well kept and he produces some good results.
  10. I have had my IS for 7 months now and covered 6500 miles, I have had quite a few stone chips which stood out quite a bit. I have touched them all up now using the AutoSharp pen from the USA and ChipsAway finished a couple of large ones for me. The car does look very nice when clean but it does take some work keeping it nice. I find the Lexus paint hard work that seems to dull easily & mark even easier.
  11. You may want to try Meguairs tyre dressing, I use this and am very happy with the results. When applying any tyre dressing use a sponge, I use the small type with a scrubbing pad on the other side, they only cost about a £1 for a pack. Also don't use too much as the finish will be spoilt.
  12. I'm sorry everybody but I won't be able to make the "Northen Meet". I have got to go away with work on the Monday, which means being at the airport at 04.30 Monday morning!! So whilst your having a top time in Blackpool I'll be looking over lease agreements. Sorry again, hope you all have a top time and don't forget to post some good pictures. Johnny Boy :(
  13. Your SC looks very nice, I really like the colour. Hope you have fun soaking up you the stares
  14. I too would like to say well done to all concerned. A enjoyable weekend was had by all. The LOC area was the most impressive of all, all the members cars were looking very smart. I think the Sytner Group & Lexus Leicester deserve a thank you too for the extras they provided. I don't know how Matt managed to keep so quite about it all Hope to see you all again soon.
  15. One big pain! I've got a touch up pen from the USA now, a good bit of kit. A lot easier than using paint and cocktail sticks etc.
  16. I've managed to get my hands on some 3M trade stuff, trying it out tonight hope the results are up to the stories I've heard.
  17. I too will be taking my time, if I get a stone chip on the way I will cry; after spending time this week repairing previouse chips. How many of you have got hands covered in either paint or tiny cuts?
  18. The SupaGuard treatment has done nothing to prevent stone chips on my Lexus. I am currently touching up to prepare for JAE.
  19. I'm bringing my Lexus shaped mobile mirror to JAE, those of you who are camping are welcome to use it when shaving . I'm sure there will be plenty of stores selling polish over the weekend, we'll have to put then to the test.
  20. You could always try "ChipsAway" I have seen some good work done by them.
  21. Welcome to the club JK, I had the paint & interior treated with Supagard when I bought my Lexus. I am happy with the paint treatment and hopefully the interior treatment works, bit sure yet as nothing spilled or stained.
  22. I had mine replaced last month, £50 through the insurance. AutoGlass did the job, took 4 attempts though due to the different types fitted. In the end I got the part number from Chris to help them out.
  23. Come on playa dont be a stiff, lighten up!!! I'm greek & I come from a family who owns chip shops & I thought it was hilarious!! Ok i'm into micro chips(computers) not potato chips, but hey my mum & dad just shelled out £70k on a merc S320 fully loaded with the lot.....I think they are having the last laugh!! i aint being a stiff. just that 2 many ppl take the ***** when i tell them what me and my family do and it annoys me normally but johnnyBoys post really wernt amusing, original but not amusing. are u really greek vic or are you being funny like johnnyBoy Playa, I think you need to look at what was posted, I was referring to others not being able to afford parts etc. not taking the **** out of what you do for a living. It was a play on words "LOC" !
