This seems to confuse quite a few new owners. The rear shelf speakers are co-ax, they have a mid-range cone with a seperate tweeter but are both within the same chassis.

I had a play in a Type R a few weeks ago, went to the Honda dealer with my girlfriends dad. Got talking to the salesman about my Lexus, he said fancy a go in the Type R, was not that impressed to be honest. You really have to nail it, on the limit in all gears. Taught the young kid a thing or two about driving though, he said never knew it could do that!! Told him I'd stick to the Lexus!!

Looks like BMW are not happy with the congestion charging either: BMW UK's managing director has branded London mayor Ken Livingstone's congestion charging scheme "barmy", adding it could cost bigger businesses almost three quarters of a million pounds a year. Speaking at BMW's annual press dinner in London, Jim O'Donnell was forthright in his views about the problem companies face because of congestion charging. He said: "I know some will agree with the principle that anything will do to restore some form of order to London's congested streets. I, however, cannot and do not see this barmy scheme through such rose-tinted spectacles. "It will cost our Park Lane dealer £70,000 in 2003. For larger central London businesses, this figure might be 10 times higher. It will prove to be another chunk of red tape, another backdoor tax and another burden on business, quite apart from the regressive effect on nurses at Westminster hospital and other low-paid workers in our capital." He joked that The Beatles penned the song 'Taxman' in 1966, with the line "If you drive a car I'll tax the streets", and that "37 years later Ken Livingstone is about to turn fantasy into reality."

The SupaGard treatment will do nothing to prevent stone chips; your mate must just be very lucky. I think the xpel treatment is a barrier treatment, i.e. a thin clear film is stuck to the paintwork. As Spike said that was Tony's (AKA Superchargedmorph) car. From memory he had 30mm Eibach springs fitted. I'm pretty sure they were fitted at TDI so maybe Mark will be able to confirm this??

When I've spoken to people before about speedo readings being altered by fitting bigger wheels to the IS I have been told there will be no difference as the speedo pick up is on the gearbox.

Just heard on the news that a 76 year old woman has died after a house fire tonight. Could this have been avoided if the firefighters were not on strike???? I'm sure cases such as this won't help their cause.
