  1. Sounds like the 12V battery if completely unresponsive.
  2. Apart from the fob problem is the car functioning normally itself once your in it?
  3. Hi and welcome to the LOC. Just bought another JDM Lexus myself to add to my first one I’ve had over 16 years.
  4. That could be the problem, fuses generally supply multiple systems and cheap LEDs are known to go faulty. I would check the fuse first to see if it has blown, it should be inside the footwell fuse box and the lid is usually marked with each fuse position.
  5. Diagram shown below, main fuse is the 10A gauge fuse. I take it you are still using bulbs and not swopped out for LEDs ?
  6. When fleabay first started it was a good way of clearing the shed and making a bit of money doing so. Then the fees increased, then the traders jumped in. Nowadays I see it as the cheap and nasty counterfeit outlet store plus with their new direct payment system they have access to your bank account instead of Paypoo. I’ve made some decent purchases on Gumtree, I bought my 18” wheels on there locally for a very reasonable price.
  7. There appears to be a 21,000 mile gap between the last Lexus service and the dealer “service” ?
  8. Not sure about mine, certainly quite dark in the rear and you definitely don’t need the window blinds up as well.
  9. Great news, I’ll look out for you as I’m having my second vaccination that day just across the road 😀
  10. An excellent write up, thank you for taking the time and effort to do it. I noticed you used the quote “Loose wires cause fires” and ensuring cable ties were correctly trimmed to prevent injury, could I ask if you work in the utilities sector involved in electric meter fitting?
  11. I’m guessing here but may help if correct....no price quoted though!
  12. Mine has been backfiring since fitting a Farta battery as it would be pronounced in german 😀
  13. Hello and welcome to the LOC If you look at the picture the clue is there 😀 https://store.ijdmtoy.com/collections/oem-spec-foglight-kit/make_lexus
  14. The situation at the traffic lights on a dual carriageway with a 60 limit when you have pole position in the left lane then the “victim” arrives alongside you in lane 2. The statutory casual glance over to eyeball the now slightly unnerved driver looking back and the colour draining from their face after finally realising they don’t stand a chance of ending up in front. The smug smile as the lights change with guaranteed knowledge they will appear in you rear view mirror in 3 seconds with a frustrated BMW rep mobile inches off his bumper.
  15. Pretty sure Paul supplies and fits a custom made aftermarket transmission cooler kit.
  16. I’m an Autoglym man myself as they stock the full range at my local independent DIY shop. I needed some tyre shine the other day, £7.95 with “free postage” on fleabay but £4.99 at the shop which is the rate for nearly all their 500ml bottles. Ended up with 5 more products to add to my stock.
  17. Regarding the spark plug replacement, manufacturers normally quote for example 60k miles or 6 years whichever comes first so in your case it is the recommended time to replace them. The spark plugs are installed in an unpleasant environment subjected to extremes of temperature, products of combustion which includes water and a build up of carbon. You only need to look at the brake discs after washing the car to see the rust formed. Add to this the plug threads are steel and the cylinder head aluminium which can cause the plugs to seize in the head due to the reaction between 2 dissimilar metals.
  18. Ooooh....very nice, what does Chip think to it? I noticed it has a H on the steering wheel pad, so you have bought a Hexus then....close enough 😀
  19. Oil is 5W30 preferably fully synthetic, I am using Shell Helix at the moment because it was on offer at ECP and always a genuine Toyota filter. It got VIP oil in Japan!
  20. They WILL fit no problem, you just need a set of spigot rings to adjust the bore these simply push into the wheel.
  21. Same here, it rained all day then stopped as the sun went down! Looks a little brighter today.
  22. It is Dodgy Dudley, as soon as you see the words “fine drive” in the description it gives his identity away.
  23. Offset is 50 as opposed to Lexus wheels at 45, bore on RX8 wheels is 67.1 so you would need spigot rings 67.1 to 60.1. PCD is the same at 114.3 5 stud. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=67.1+to+60.1+spigot+rings&_sacat=0 Also check the wheel nuts are the same type i.e. not tapered.
