  1. Could be worse, check out the VED rates in the Irish Republic, mine would be the top rate!
  2. I would love to attend but don’t have an “F” car, does have a V8 though. 😀
  3. My power went off twice last night, only for a second but knocked all the clocks out and sent my my Airbus A320 from final approach into Perth to a complete loss of aircraft 😀 Perhaps just a coincidence my neighbour was considering buying an EV, if I have to shout out “Clear Prop!” on an aircraft engine start he should shout out “Plugging in”
  4. I would get another couple of quotes to make a decent comparison, £150.00 seems to be a ball park figure for 2-3 hours of labour.
  5. Apologies in advance for asking but did you give the bottle a good shake before use?
  6. Makes me wonder if they put Toyota Type IV in not the correct WS fluid! What was the reason for the previous transmission fluid change, any prior problems?
  7. Just took a look and as suspected only available as a complete loom section with no listed price! As above silicone sealant then wedge it in tight until it cures
  8. I don’t think they ever were an OEM option, even the JDM Celsiors ( which don’t have the wing repeaters fitted) don’t have them. My 2004 MY Celsior has foot lighting built in under the mirror housing which illuminates when approaching the car but no indicators as there are now side repeaters fitted. I did buy some retrofit units for the old Celsior but never had the guts to start cutting holes in the mirror backs. Also bear in mind you would need to get the additional wiring to them. I seem to remember many years ago you could buy aftermarket rear casings with them built in but by now probably extinct like the smoked front indicator units or a MINES ECU.
  9. It’s usually down so looks like a radio aerial, lights up blue too but doesn’t flash 😀
  10. All this and now it won’t fit in my garage!
  11. When I saw the title I thought it was something to do with the French High Speed Train but turned out far more interesting😀
  12. My outer fog cluster lights up at night when the indicator is on as other members have mentioned to illuminate the kerb edges. The Japanese were so far in front as mine is a 2004 model.
  13. Hi Jeff congratulations on your Lexus purchase and welcome to the LOC. Certainly a lively start to your first post 😀
  14. Yes I read that article George, just trying to pin point the problem before having to rip out a lot of dash to access the sensors when there was no definitive cause confirmed.
  15. Just found some sports front coil springs on there for another member struggling to find some standards for an early GS300 which are now obsolete.
  16. Hi Michael and welcome to the LOC. Basically now obsolete with little or no remaining old stock but found these ( you should replace both anyway) They are “sports” springs so probably a little lower and stiffer but will fit straight on plus here and available in the UK. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-phase-1-gs300-sport-front-spring-kit/
  17. I would have thought so, if the car brakes the brake lights illuminate or someone may rear end the car.
  18. The part number on the radiator you have removed doesn’t fully match the model or year for a 2007 LS460, Toyota part numbers are usually 5 digits-5 digits as shown below. 16400 RADIATOR ASSY 16400-38190 1 € 429.46 If you want OEM try Lexus Parts Direct for a price.
  19. Although for the later 2000 model I think the earlier ones still had the same system for the ignition key interlock system. https://zinref(blocked word)/avtomobili/Lexus/200_Lexus LS400_2000 year_english/001.htm
  20. Hi Russell and welcome to the LOC. Next county to me so may see you around, looks like the OEM “dusting bin lid” wheels have been replaced with a better choice. Fairly low mileage for the year, previous owners didn’t appear to look after their tyres though!
