    As far as I know all OEM Lexus and most Japanese car wheels use the flat seating nuts and aftermarket ones tend to use tapered nuts. You can usually tell which nuts you need by looking at the stud holes in the wheels, if these are tapered so are the nuts. I bought some plastic chrome covers for my OEM nuts for a few pounds on Ebay several years ago and they are still looking good.

    Wait until fully defrosed then check fuses and circuit breakers.

    Something common to both petrol and heat related ... the CTS (Coolant temperature sensor) is worth checking. If it is giving false readings or has a poor connection it may be telling the ECU that the engine is cold and therefore the ECU will overfuel (choke) the engine.

    I would have thought if the TB was faulty it would affect both fuels not just petrol same for the MAF. If you switch to LPG does the car then perform normally?

    I may be able to help, IIRC the JDM models have this feature as standard and I think I still have the switch pack from a 1997 series III Celsior I broke for spares. You are welcome to have it to try but I suspect you would also need the door ECU.

    From memory it is not advised to use solvents on seatbelts but a mild soap solution and perhaps agitate it with an old toothbrush. If it is really stubbon maybe 1001 dry foam carpet cleaner.

    Does make you wonder, a few years ago a very well known resource website for Lexus/Toyota part numbers had to close certain sections after apparently being taken to task by Toyota.

    As far as I know most people take the power for them from the sidelight wiring so when the sidelights come on so do the Halos.

    Hello and welcome to the LOC. If it's an intermittent problem it could be poor battery terminal connections or earths so make sure evrything is good and tight. It could also be the battery if one or more of the cells is breaking down internally.

    Picked up the other half tonight after a shopping trip and she decided to pull down the passenger sun visor to use the illuminated mirror. No light! This car is not even 21 years old yet and a bulb has failed. Sorted it though, used the bulb out of my side as I never do my make up whilst driving anyway :)

    Hello and welcome to the LOC. A trip to your local dealer may be the best if not the cheapest option, another solution is to disconnect your battery for a short while in the hope that everything resets to default. The internet can be a great resourceful place but if you are ever sat in an ejector seat and a sign says "Do Not Press this button" Don't :)

    I've seen this mentioned previously with a colour temperature inbalance between new and old bulbs, a little like ensuring all the rolls of wallpaper purchased are of the same batch number to ensure a pattern/colour match due to manufacturing tolerances. It has been suggested that both bulbs are replaced at the same time to ensure colour matching but perhaps a call to Philips may be in order.

    NGK iridiums appear a popular choice, I thought there was a set being offered in the for sale section recently?

    I've heard talcum powder works but I think you can buy belt dressing stuff,again maybe cheaper to replace the belt if it's due anyway. Just make sure it's not another component causing the noise.
