  1. Hello and welcome to the LOC. I'm no expert on tyres so can't comment on the choice but I'm sure other better informed members will come up with a solution. If the tyres are worn it may be worth changing both on the same axle which would give you a bigger choice of make and types.
  2. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Nice V6 engine in the IS250.
  3. Should be fairly straightforward but if you have no electrical wiring experience get it done professionally.
  4. I problems do arise you should also be covered by your credit card provider also.
  5. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Not seen that before, where is it located? Looks like the rear bumper area. Could you take another picture a little further away?
  6. Any other symptoms, loss of power for example? I would give it a few days and see what happens,if still the same I would then revisit the garage that did the work.
  7. Put the link up Alex if you wish.
  8. Nice job. There are 4 LOC sites, .com will offer you either the US/UK/Australian or European clubs. At work I had a fast day and I'm Kn*****ed ! :)
  9. Pulling the EFI fuse for 5 minutes is probably the safer option as this will reset the engine ECU but not affect things like radio codes, seat memory or windows which may all need reseting if the battery terminal is removed.
  10. Apparently the LS400 engine is sought after for Mazda rotary engine replacements.
  11. Before it changed names I think it was called Norwich Union, their catchphrase was "Quote me Happy" I asked for a quote and it was horrendous more like quote me wappy.
  12. If you click on "more reply options" at the bottom of the reply box it will open to allow attachments to your post, just follow the on screen instructions. If you're local to me in Derbyshire I would be happy to take a look at what you need and access the full diagrams for you.
  13. Picture of damage ? As Toffee_Pie mentions consider a "smart repair" if you had been nearer the midlands I would have recommended my local paint shop.
  14. If you are refering to toyodiy.com then yes as the site is no longer available to the general public with the exploded diagrams due to I understand Toyota themselves. If you PM me your email address I may be able to assist. Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you?
  15. There are usually some places in Birmingham advertising on ebay offering custom cat back stainless systems around the 4-5 hundred pound mark.
  16. Hello and welcome to the LOC. The Lexus venture into a diesel powered model could be considered a bit of a disaster with major engine problems requiring engine rebuilds/replacements. ( Lexus even extended the warranty to cover the problems) and there have been reports of the rebuilt engines failing again. Needless to say Lexus no longer produce a diesel model which says it all really. Fuel economy was pretty dismal for a diesel engine with the petrol equivalent close in MPG.
  17. There known as T5 bulbs 1.2W, any automatic shop should have them, Halfords if you're feeling flush ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10X-286-DASHBOARD-CAR-LIGHT-T5-MINIATURE-BULB-BULBS-12V-1-2W-CAPLESS-WEDGE-/361052550642?hash=item541068b5f2
  18. It was in table form in the workshop manual but looks as above when posted. As they say up ere you'll need just over 2 pounds of the stuff. Based on a completely empty and dry system refill.
  19. Hello and welcome to the LOC. The door opening is programmed via the Lexus Personalised Settings which gives a choice of opening all the doors or just the driver's door when the button on the fob is pressed so this may have defaulted to the former when the battery went flat. Apparently if you press the door open button twice all doors should then open in its present mode. Not entirely sure if the programme can be changed via the info screen in the car or it's a dealer only job. http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/IS_LPS.pdf
  20. Or even direct Mike :) Guess where the Mark Levinson website directs you to regarding their systems installed in Lexus cars? Strangely enough to Lexus, so that will be retail price plus Lexus contibution plus VAT Sir, comes in at £125.00 :)
  21. Well we do live in a capitalist society and that's what goes on. Its also worth remembering that if secondhand prices continue to rise it also has an effect of enhancing the value of your LS. Mike. Gold price heading down...sell,sell,sell....LS400 prices on the up buy, buy, buy :)
  22. Very informative so thanks for sharing, I wish you all the best and a quick recovery. The reason I would think for the suspension of the policy whilst you are recovering is simply to cover their own ***** and of course they are going to either extend your policy by 6 weeks or refund the difference aren't they..... I doubt it will be either. Looks like you will be popping out to start the LS400 up every few days and just sitting inside it will be good therapy, try sitting in the back seats and imagine being chauffeur driven :)
  23. Topic moved to ISF to promote a better response rate. I would be surprised if there was a soft spring option available for the ISF it is after all a sports car, either man up or put a cushion under your a**e :)
