  1. Due to time constraints and the last straw was the cat to exhaust bolts rounding off I have now decided to break my 1994 Toyota Celsior, engine has done 170,000 KMs and has FJSH and a comprehensive UKSH. PM me if interested.
  2. I like it, has been well looked after but fitted with budget tyres, has a rusty wheel arch and rattles over bumps
  3. Mine has them, when you press the defrost button the mirrors actually vibrate and make a strange squeaking noise this is in addtion to the heater elements in the glass.
  4. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Sorry can't help with the question but there are some members who have supercharged their IS200s who may chip in with ideas.
  5. Rudy what's the part number of the Japanese spec one, I have some contacts in Oz who may be able to help.
  6. Hello and welcome to the LOC. There is normally a fuse marked "CIG" rated at 7.5A in the internal fuse box located under the driver's side dash. May be worth checking all the fuses in there while you're at it as some others also feed the radio.
  7. That sounds like a nasty potential safety hazard. Having looked at the Lexus Personalised settings for the 430 there is no mention of disabling the system, may be worth contacting Lexus to discuss this finger removal system.
  8. What is funny is that in the drop down box to search for makes there is no Lexus listed, perhaps a classic mistake :)
  9. A Smart with LPG! Where did they put the tank..in a trailer behind it :)
  10. Certainly sounds like a no fuel problem, easy way to tell is to get someone to spray some easistart into the air intake while you crank the engine over. If it runs albeit roughly it would confirm a fuel starvation problem which as mentioned above could be due to an immobiliser fault. If you are a breakdown club member I would call them out.
  11. Take the car with you.... every Lexus also deserves a holiday :). IIRC all alarm systems are required to reset after a period of time but re arm so if there is another attempted theft it will go off again but otherwise stay quiet.
  12. Looking at the posts, no it wasn't aimed at you RayKhan it was jeffreyt being naughty :) It's a thankless task being a mod :)
  13. Do you also want a 1994 C-F packaged Celsior to add to your collection, never seem to have the time to finish the one I have. Haven't forgotten your capacitor sets I will get them to you eventually. Personally I would keep the series IV,it was the ultimate version of the LS400s with everything ironed out. Have you managed to sort out the sat nav problem?
  14. Looks very nice, welcome to the club :)
  15. Thats only about ten miles from me. Nah,the torch is missing from the tool kit :)
  16. Good result :) Not sure if this is correct but pretty sure I heard that during a service Lexus don't regrease the caliper pins as part of the brake service.
  17. That's the one! I remembered the same problem having been posted up before but couldn't remember what the method was. Basically you will need to oull out the boot light unit and find the +12 volt feed to it ( there are normally only 2 wires, the other goes to earth/chassis. Obtain a 12 Volt car battery ( or move another car close by) and use jump leads. Connect the negative terminal of the battery to the chassis/earth/metalwork of the Lexus and then the positive supply to the boot light positive terminal ( be very careful not to cause a short circuit doing this) You should then have enough power to open the doors. Having looked at the circuit diagram the wire colour you need to connect the red positive jump lead on the boot light should be red
  18. Perhaps try pulling out the radio fuse.leave it for a while then put it back in ( if the radio is coded make sure you have the code!)
  19. I seem to remember the mats are now obsolete and no longer available from Lexus.
  20. I think that until you have actually received the tyres there is little you can do,if they are what you want all good but if they aren't what you ordered then take it up with them at that point. I don't think Goodyear will get involved over a dispute with a supplier, there's probably some disclaimer somewhere on their website regarding accuracy of the information provided. Just give the supplier a chance first.
