  1. Yes it’s one of the front ones, the others are normally bolt threads under the engine.
  2. Hello Jamal and welcome to the LOC. £186.00 for a diagnostic check at Lexus, does that include a full valet and tank of petrol! As other members have suggested get the lead and software and do it yourself, mine being an older model only requires a bent paper clip for diagnostics.
  3. Full list on link below in case you want other options changing. https://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/MY16-Lexus-NX-300h-with-display-audio.pdf
  4. Have you checked the associated fuses? There are 3, Radio No1 (20A located in engine bay fuse box),Radio No2 (15A under dash fuse box) and Dome (10A engine bay fuse box)any of these would affect the display and audio system if blown. The first 2 also supply power to the CD changer so if that is also not working check the fuses. The fuse box covers normally have a list of the fuses and positions attached to them.
  5. Personally if it was OK before the service/MOT I would be back at the garage asking why it wasn’t correctly and securely refitted after the work was carried out and ask them to provide and fit a new replacement. There are 2 parts to it front and rear (No1 and No2) costs are £170.00 and £100.00 respectively from Lexus. Front part number is coming up as 51441-50080 should you wish to google it.
  6. We are just so ripped off in the UK! https://www.buyautoparts.com/buynow/60-02184_NA?dest=oem&refno=OEM Number 88310-50152&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-NjOhIXy2wIVi7TtCh35JwYWEAAYASAAEgKgnvD_BwE If you could find a local AC specialist they may be able to replace just the magnetic clutch, I take it that the system is holding pressure? Another thread which may be of use

  8. There seems to be more adverts everywhere especially on commercial TV channels now it’s been increased to 12 minutes an hour plus on top of this the sponsorship and promos. Anyway back to shaving......
  9. I drove to Skye a few years ago working for SSE (unfortunately not in the LS). Having driven over the bridge I thought my Sat Nav was telling porkies when it said I still had something like around 35 miles to go to Dunvegan, nah can’t be right it’s a little island...was though and some parts were like driving through the Alps!
  10. Being an import model mine has the TEMS system so the damping is adjustable between normal and sports.I think this and the 18” wheels with low profile tyres gives it the go kart handling.
  11. I can make you one up this weekend, have a couple of ECUs to repair so may as well have a Lexus repair weekend.
  12. It does look a bit dusty in there Mike, same as the rear bumper in the boot picture, gear selector has no wear on the top but the steering wheel has been well ringed. Mine at 85,000 miles.
  13. It may be as Lexus do not sell just the rod you would have to buy the complete sensor. However http://www.evansweb.info/2009/11/23/ls400-ride-height-sensor-repair/
  14. Not sure about the risk but if local must be worth a look, rusty subframe on an MOT is always subjective, mine had an advisory for cracking on front brake flexible hoses 12 years ago.....they are still on the car now with no further mention.
  15. Looks like there are still some out there, unfortunately this one is over the pond but worth a look maybe. The link is for the website so scroll down to find it. https://www.paladintrucks.com/vehicles-for-sale?lightbox=dataItem-jim6ajos
  16. They do if you have the correct type of vacuum cleaner, like some lawnmowers mine has a heavy roller behind the suction head which puts the correct stripes in the carpets, obviously you have to change the opposite direction with every stroke to get the full effect but it’s fairly easy with a little practice 🙂
  17. I’m surprised it uses any oil at all, mine never uses any at 85,000 miles.
  18. Hello Daz and welcome to the LOC. Tried to find it for you on the parts database but nothing coming up, if you remove the remaining bolt the size is normally stamped on the bolt head or take it to a local engineering company who will be able to match it for you.
  19. OEM springs are around £100.00 each from Lexus (part number is 48231-3A280). Having checked Amayama they are priced at £87.00 plus shipping plus import taxes so would be more expensive. Aftermarket versions are available from likes of ebay for around half these prices.
  20. Once again rip off Britain in action, still cheaper buying this even with the shipping rather than be ripped off here in the UK with exactly the same product at 6 times the US price.
  21. This is what I found https://www.autozone.com/external-engine/oil-pan-gasket/lexus/ls400
  22. I think you can buy the actual gasket but Toyota recommend a special sealant, I have access to the sealant on a borrow and return basis.
