  1. Not sure if it can be changed electronically in the settings options but even if the speedometer scale displays both MPH and KPH if the speed matches your sat nav when in KPH mode the speedometer is still reading KPH and has not been converted to MPH. Mine was already converted when I bought it and was simply done by a retrofit module wired in behind the dash. The larger 20” wheels are also going to add to the error. I would also imagine the only FM radio station you receive is Radio 2 as the Japanese radio band is also different to the UK one.
  2. Hello and welcome to the LOC to both of you
  3. I don’t quite understand the “No fault Accident “ bit......I have always been led to believe that if you are reversing and hit something it is always your fault. I had a similar incident a year or so ago when a Mercedes reversed into my nearside front bumper, my local body shop did the job for £60.00 and the other driver paid up the cost. I would get another quote from a local paint shop because as we all know if you had a transmission solenoid fail and took it to Lexus they would quote for a completely new transmission.
  4. I remember a few years ago my brother was looking to buy a Maserati 4200 Cambriocorsa and I went with him to several viewings. One in particular was a back street dealer in Nottinghamshire, although the guy knew we were coming he wasn’t there when we arrived so we took a look at the car. The rear exhaust back boxes which are around £800.00 each were both missing replaced with straight through pipes! ”He’s on his way shouldn’t be long” ”So are we goodbye”
  5. Tiger fish has kindly done a tutorial on this which should help you. Mine was just efficient enough to pass the MOT and I found that removing the drums, giving the handbrake shoes a good rough up and readjusting sorted the problem.
  6. Or the other favourite....” these engines have a timing chain so they never wear out”
  7. My original system packed up so replaced it with aftermarket...now has a separate sub amp mounted where the old CD changer sat in the boot....you can hear mine 😀
  8. Not sure if the series III 95-97 have physical door light switches but these have been the cause of sporadic alarms on earlier models as the contacts tarnish then the alarm thinks a door has been opened when the alarm is set. Also ensure the sunroof, boot and bonnet are fully closed.
  9. You’re welcome, I think the very early models 90-92 were single tone and didn’t have the plastic cladding on the lower doors, everyone after was two tone.
  10. Hello Alexander and welcome to the LOC. I had exactly the same problem with mine but the body shop managed to find both codes for the 2 different paint colours, they even gave me a small plastic bottle of each for touch ups. Mine has faded over the years but they even managed to “adjust” the colour mix to get a perfect match. I would ask the same of your body shop as they should all have the paint codes. These are mine T for top and B for the bottom colour.
  11. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Hallo en welkom bij de LOC
  12. It sounds like they never actually cancelled the policy, ask them for copies of all the related paperwork and get hold of your bank/credit card statements for the period you paid the £200.00. Did you receive any confirmation of the cancellation? It may be worth contacting the FOS. https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/cancelling-renewing-car-insurance-case-studies.html It would appear they are based in Kings Lynn so a bit of a trek from Yorkshire.
  13. Great result and thanks for the update, not too long ago these cars were found in scrapyards....but not anymore.
  14. Huawei.......Must be secret Chinese phone hacking spyware.😀 Hello and welcome to the LOC .....Sorry beyond my technical abilities but pretty sure someone on the forums will know the answer.

    Hello

Hello and welcome to the LOC. You don’t have to own a Lexus to be a club member but we have the right to talk you into buying one 😀
  16. I haven’t used PB for years....I simply attach the photo directly to the post using the “Click to chose files” from my photo folder.
  17. Mine was delimited when I bought it having been done after importation, the cruise control was sorted by cutting a link inside the cruise ECU. Same with the rear fog lights done professionally with a relay using the 2 inner cluster tails lights and dual filament bulbs so no “Look I’m an import” retrofitted fog light attached to the lower bumper.
  18. You can buy the shift solenoids as individual items, the good news is that they can be replaced without removing the transmission (Drop the sump pan to gain access). Have you checked for any transmission error codes indicating a fault?
  19. 20. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Do you want the part numbers for the AC compressor pulley? If you are not sure please post up a photo of the part you need.
  21. Didn’t take long for something to happen! B11960DE-BE41-4B9C-B29E-9687B732792F.MOV
  22. Hello Derek and welcome to the LOC. All I can add to the other posts is that I get 18-22 MPG on 95 octane fossil fuel 😁
  23. TBH for a Lexus dealer that is amazing cheap if that is for a new master key and programming to the car ( check this is for both). The problem is that the master key is always needed to clone either another master or slave key so even an auto locksmith would struggle. Too late now but a missing remote key would have been a good bargaining chip when you bought the car and probably would have paid for one with the discount. The procedure in the link below explains how to clone the key but again you need the master not the slave key. https://www.key-programmer.com/2016/07/22/steps-to-program-key-for-lexus-gs300-400-430-98-05/
