I recently ordered from Rockauto and was well impressed. They include the VAT so no customs delays and the expedited delivery is only a little more. ignoring the weekend and UK bank holiday I ordered Friday and got the stuff Tuesday lunchtime. Just bear in mind that most UK card companies and banks charge a non sterling fee unless you have one of the special deal cards. Plus you get a fridge magnet with every order 😀 -

You normally reuse the tensioner, compress the plunger back and fit a suitable pin to lock it until ready. The kit comes with the tensioner pulley which is acted on by the tensioner above once the belt is on and the pin pulled out but if you want to replace the tensioner it can be purchased separately. Looking at the diagram the tensioner is highlighted in orange with the tensioner pulley above it, the other idler pulley in the kit is mounted on the other side of the engine Aisin is the OEM figment but Gates are a good brand. -

Colin Barber another moderator on the club. Look like the ECU is mounted on the inner wing area passenger side. From what I have read the rack looks a more likely cause though. -
If you go to the Furniture Clinic website it explains what you need to do for different leather types and repairs. I’m doing major refurbishment on mine at the moment using their products.

If it’s just scuff marks you would probably get away with something like leather balm recolourant, plenty of choices on fleabay. Black is an easier colour to work with.

Colin is the man for this problem, his hybrid knowledge is second to none. I’m old skool hydraulics when it comes to power steering. The only thing I can suggest is a visit to Lexus. I did find this video regarding a poor connector on the rack which may be worth checking out. Also this -
If you have a multi meter I would first check the battery voltage. Have you tried taking the battery negative back off for a few minutes to see if things reset? Then it’s onto the fuses one or two of which are known to sometimes fail on battery reconnection. The main one to check is the alternator fuse in the engine compartment. If it is blown come back as it’s not the normal pull out type.

If you mean the one that sticks up it’s called a “Fender Pole” It’s like a mini aerial that you extend to assist you pulling out of parking spaces so you have a better indication of where the corner of the car is in relation to the rear bumper of the Ferrari in front of you. -

Similar experience myself with the Celsior. When I first bought it I wanted some new calliper slide pins because as we know these are not a “service item” and therefore don’t get checked and lubed. I went to my local Toyota dealer to order some and after the now usual “ Toyota what” was told, as the car was an import, there was a 15% parts surcharge. You soon learn that 95% of the car uses the very same Lexus parts so I then ordered on the LS400 part numbers and still get my 10% LOC discount, plush seating area, free quality refreshments and a chance to sit in the latest offerings from Lexus. I have over the years collected spare sets of the different, hard to obtain, and more likely to get damaged parts like rear light clusters, door mirrors and bumpers should the worst ever happen. I have also just acquired a spare instrument cluster with a reman lifetime warranty which I swopped with someone who wanted the earlier 1990-1992 version for his. I’ve recently read that the rear springs are non longer available but fortunately got mine before they ran out, the only part I could not obtain recently was a windscreen washer valve but I made one to suit. -

Same here mate, just looking through the Celsior offerings. One on there with 16,000 kim’s (10,000 miles) and another like mine (1994 ) up for just over £8000.00 with 30,000 miles shipped to Bristol. with 10% duty, 20% VAT, documentation, registration etc you are looking well over £10,000. When I bought mine in 2006 it had 62,000 km (38,000 miles) already in the UK on the road for £3750.00. I may have to increase my “agreed value” the next time I renew the insurance. -
I don’t know of a specific guide or whether you can replace the casing without first taking the complete mirror off the car. The glass normally pulls off the clips at the bottom and is then lifted up to disengage to 2 top hooks. Once the glass is removed you can then get to the internals.

I fitted HIDs in my headlights about 8 years ago, passed it’s MOT every year without comments and just got the odd flash from oncoming traffic. The ballast packs however had broken free and remounting them was a pain so I decided to refit the original bulbs which I had saved. With traces of the factory applied brown grease still present on them I carefully installed them and low and behold they were still working after 25 years. If only Lexus made washing machines! I’m in pursuit of a chocolate cream, Biscuit anyone?

Based on the IS250, same V6 engine I think. What starts off as a 28,000Km £900.00 car in Japan becomes a £3200.00 car landed here in the UK, add in the 10% import duty so £3520.00 then VAT at 20% on the total £4260.00. Let’s add in another £500.00 for UK port fees, registration, rear fog light fitting and call it £4760.00 on the road. So we have a 17,500 mile 2007 model for £3240.00 less than the dealer offering at £8000.00.....nice profit margin there. Hi Dimitar and welcome to the LOC. I joined the LOC around 14 years ago but unlike you after I bought the car. I have however been very fortunate with mine having had no major problems in that time with the car which I still have to this day. That in itself is testimony to the build quality and reliability of Lexus vehicles. You are obviously doing your homework regarding potential candidates, this along with a FLSH, extended warranty and input from other members should ensure a good outcome. I understand that in line with Toyota Lexus now offer a 10 year 150,000 mile hybrid warranty provided yearly checks are performed as part of the service regime.
