  1. Hello and welcome to the LOC. Answers above but if you don’t have the Owner’s Manual you can download a PDF copy free of charge or register for a hard copy. https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/resources/owners-manuals?type=om I hear the road tax in Ireland is a crippling amount, feel free to post up a picture or two of your new LS430.
  2. I noticed they have an “up to 60%” discount so ran it up to checkout and got £1.00 odd off!
  3. If you fancy Osram here you go https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/osram-night-breaker-laser-d4s-xenon-single-box-48177223Z?type=shopping&gclid=CjwKCAjw57b3BRBlEiwA1ImytisBlu0gb9tOwJnhMDnQJ9_NDmP6s-ESpOdYbYElHKmLhjmSyt7rYRoCASUQAvD_BwE
  4. Same here, 25 years old and still ice cold with nothing done.
  5. £80.00 for genuine sounds pretty good, I’m a genuine parts fan myself.
  6. The bulb is a D4S HID, genuine around £200.00 each part number 90981-20024. Aftermarket from around £40.00 a pair on the likes of ebay, if you do go aftermarket probably best to replace as a pair.
  7. Hello and welcome to the LOC. The seat base needs to be removed first, there are 2 self locking clips at the front edge one on each side midwa6 between the transmission tunnel and door. Get you fingers under the seat base and tug sharply upwards to release. The bolts for the seat back are at the bottom as shown in the picture, remove them and then lift the seat back up to disengage the top hooks.
  8. I’m curious Herbs, how do you easily and safely extend battery leads? Are we talking about removing the existing battery clamps then adding another piece of 50 odd mm2 cable and jointing it all up?
  9. No, the link refers to GS450h which is a chain driven engine but the seller is claiming the cam belt has been replaced when it doesn’t have one.
  10. Hello Martin and welcome to the LOC. It’s not mentioned in the Personalisation list attached below but there should be some mention in the owner’s manual. If not I would have a word with the supplying dealer. https://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/MY15_ES_300h_With_Navi_customer.pdf Something here may help https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-6th-gen-2013-2018/812252-2016-lexus-es350-where-is-the-tpms-reset-button.html
  11. Nice work, I take it you have the full garage facilities and not just a trolley jack and axle stands and working off the floor?
  12. Hello Jaleel and welcome to the LOC. I quite like your buy and swop parts method probably works out a lot cheaper than buying the parts individually then having to get rid of the swop outs. What happened to the LS, major failure?
  13. You could of course buy the official stuff, chilled to the perfect temperature for your engine, please don’t ask for the part number 😀
  14. Now you have explained this I remember the thread you did on it, great way to get yourself a decent motor I love “projects.”
  15. Tell us more....£200.00 to buy it in kit form? What was the problem with it that cost £130.00 to sort.
  16. Not sure about that Malc if this price is correct 😀 Peter just make sure the terminal polarity is the correct way round, Lexus tend to have reversed terminals to most cars. Buy a branded one with a good warranty, to be fair Lexus prices are very competitive even though they come from Toyota.
  17. Yep, 5 litres Toyota red concentrate and the same in distilled water, if you have a dehumidifier use the water from that. Don’t forget to drain the block via the drain cocks.
  18. There are no slide pins on these callipers as they are (as I discovered only last week) 6 pots. Check the disc covers ( the shield behind the disc) as these sometimes get distorted and contact the disc, upper suspension ball joint and lower ball joints for excessive play.
  19. Are they dual mass flywheels on these or solid?
  20. Prices are now hitting the roof it seems with the sale of this 15,000km example from Japan. With a landed price of just under £11.5k plus import duty, VAT and registration we’re looking at around £15,000 OTR. https://carfromjapan.com/cheap-used-toyota-celsior-for-sale?minYear=1990&maxYear=1994
  21. There are apparently 4 speakers mounted on the rear parcel shelf one of which is the sub woofer (No. 7 ). On earlier models this speaker has been known to fail due to the cone becoming detached from the speaker framework. Normal access is gained by removing the rear seats and top shelf cover. Sorry no idea on size of the speakers but generic replacements are generally available, the 2 important factors are size and impedance.
  22. Hello Eugene and welcome to the LOC. I’ve only ever driven an IS250c once so can’t really comment apart from saying it was very nice with the roof down in July a few years ago. There is always plenty of help and advice on the LOC, feel free to post links for any potential purchases for input from other members.
  23. Hello Andy and welcome to the LOC. That’s the way to buy...max depreciation, one owner and with a full service history. Had mine nearly 15 years now and can’t seem to find anything better.
  24. Yes must be 6 years now, I did hear that they were stopping “classic” insurance but this may be for new customers. I also had a no fault accident which like you may have become spent. The only potential problem is if I ever replace the Celsior, my full NCD was only valid without further use for 2 years as classic insurance doesn’t involve it. Should I return to mainstream insurance I now have no NCB discount which would no doubt result in higher premiums.
  25. Having said that Amayama don’t have any ! The bushes are available from assorted ebay sellers’ at various qualities and prices. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=lexus+ls400+rear+upper+control+arm+bushes&_sacat=0
