The ones for the early models are getting rare now plus if you do find some most sellers won’t post to the UK. These are a bargain for the full set of front indicators and rear clusters but unless you have someone in the USA willing to buy them and post on you can’t buy them. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DEPO-Red-Clear-Tail-Lamp-Bumper-Signal-Lights-For-90-91-92-93-94-Lexus-LS400-/302695109247 I do have a spare secondhand set, one of them has a small crack but is still water tight ( they all tend to let water in so I always seal them with clear silicon sealer). PM me if you are interested in them.

OEM are around £200.00 each according to Toyodiy, Rockauto have them from £30.00 up to £96.00. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lexus,2008,is250,2.5l+v6,1441482,suspension,shock+absorber,7556 KYB are generally fitted OEM. You could try our resident parts supplier for a better price...Lexus Spares Direct ( just checked at £184.00 each). There are the usual crap offerings on fleabay

It should be located on the driver’s side kick panel ( the one with the foot well light in it). Given the symptoms and timing I would be swayed towards a pre cat O2 sensor fault heater failure which then goes away when it is warmed up by the exhaust gases but diagnose first there should be a stored code.

I finished working in power distribution at 57 and having holidayed there many times decided to go to Cyprus over winter. We rented an apartment but it was so cold we cut it short and returned home after Christmas. It was also cold back here in the UK and short days. Little in the way of gardening to do or anything else for that matter. Totally bored I applied for a job in metering and being qualified was back in a job by February. That was now 3 years ago so another company pension building up slowly and a salary. Thinking of doing another year or so then putting the tools down again. We have also considered a boat but located in the Med so we can travel around the Greek islands at leisure just need to improve my language skills a bit more.

I agree with CB injector clatter, I would give it a good run to settle it in. Adjusting valve clearances isn’t a ring spanner, screwdriver and cork gasket.

Hello Sean and welcome to the LOC.

Hello Joshua and welcome to the LOC UK. From your information I would be looking at fuel delivery particularly the pump and fuel pressure. Immobiliser problems normally allow the engine to crank but not fire at all as the injectors are cut off. Have you checked for any fault codes even if the EML is not on? If you have access to some ether spray ( brand name here in the UK is Easistart ) try getting someone to crank the engine while it is sprayed into the air intake, if the engine then continues to run albeit roughly it would confirm a fuelling problem ( just take care doing this in case of a flashback). So fuel pump check first then fuel pressure.

GS250 1200 mile+ trip London to Isle of Skye RTN
steve2006 replied to superatticman's topic in Lexus General Discussions
I’ve only been to Skye once for a power distribution incident, as I crossed the bridge at Lochalsh I thought the sat nav had failed when it showed a 32 odd miles to the destination of Dunvegan..... I thought wrongly it’s just a small Scottish island. No it’s a rather large island and did take me nearly another hour on those twisting hilly roads in the dark. I think the worst job ever was in Wick it took something like 10 hours from Derby, I got to Glasgow and it was still showing several hundred miles to go and it was! I also attended another incident on the Isle of Mull...ferry across from Oban then onto Tobermory. Once you leave the ferry terminal the road follows the coast. I was soon being overtaken by everything most of which seemed to be rally spec cars. Once I finally arrived I was told by locals that speed limits were virtually unenforceable as there was just one police car on the island. If I ever return I’ll let the train take the strain. -
Toyota Aygo - Retro-fitting a reversing camera?
steve2006 replied to PCM's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
I am thinking of fitting a reversing camera to my Toyota Aygo .......any recommendations as to the makes models, and fitting position...maybe not the near side though 😀😀😀 -
I could but as you mention the paint is not cheap and neither is the prep stuff. It is also very time consuming hence why I started it during lock down ( I have continued to work on call front line power distribution) but now moving towards normality so out and about a lot more with less spare time.

I’m waiting yet again for a response from the company, it probably didn’t help that the 2 samples I sent were very small ( there ain’t much spare TBH) but I did check beforehand that they would be suitable for matching. Depending on what they say and how long it’s going to take ( certainly not another month!) I may send them the seat headrest which is clean and been exposed to UV for 26 years, so the accurate colour hopefully, and try again. I am hoping they will provide another mix free of charge other wise it’s another £30.00. The velour seats from the Celsior have been sold so that option has gone, the final option is custom made and fitted seat covers but I’m trying to avoid spending £800.00 if possible, the roof respray is a £400.00 job (cracking lacquer) and the wheel refurbishment another £320.00. Having said that I would rather invest money in the one I have knowing it owes me nothing over 14 years of ownership plus with all the bonuses, standby payments and overtime at the moment I have little else to spend the money on. At least I can still use it as a 3 seater limo, the other half quite likes sitting in the rear with the extra legroom 😀

lextreme.com may have that info.

The euphoria of the paint arriving today was extremely short lived. Having loaded up the air brush I decided as suggested to do a patch test to ensure the “colour matched” paint was Ronseal ( does what it says on the tin). Using an old CD I sprayed a couple of circles over the original colour and no it doesn’t match after sending samples and waiting over a month. So now I have a front passenger seat with the old colour removed so no going back and no match to the other seats. With the cost near to £100.00 I’m a little miffed but more so in that finding a decent replacement set is almost impossible. There is a guy selling a velour Celsior set on fleabay in Rochdale so waiting to hear back from him now.

I would have done the same, just changed my plugs to iridium so expect 40,000 miles or 15 years before they are due again.
