  1. Miffed! My Drivers Seat's right-hand Bolster cover has suddenly developed a large crease that you can easily pinch as though the leather has stretched or the Bolster itself as semi-collapsed after 4000 miles! Have had 7 Lexus since 1999,covered 200000 miles to date & have never had a seat issue until now! Dealer is contacting GB ----will let you know the outcome. Tel
  2. The 7 Year Servicing Cost before any discount is £3200 with the 6 Year Major service costing c.£850------@ one time I was considering a Service Plan.ISF Servicing Cost is 250 Auto SEL plus (as stated by Tango above) the ISF specific costs for oils, plugs etc. Tel Nb/ Above costs are c.30%to 40% cheaper than RS4,M3,AMG for the same schedule.
  3. James, For further ISF thrills see You tube & the USA web sites such as The Lexus Enthusiast. Tel
  4. Rick, In our experience,we are not aware of this phenomena. My sensitivity to temperature may have declined over the years but I am surprised my wife's has as "her thermostat" is classed as an asset by British Gas! Tel
  5. Activation is normally set to ON but can be set OFF by the PDC knurled control on the right hand side of your lower dash behind your steering wheel.Scroll through the options & set to ON & you will see a GREEN light come on in your Instrument Panel----hope this helps! Tel
  6. Cold start is 1500 then drops to 1200 then 750 when you engage R ----both my Auto SELs did jerk slightly,my ISF does not. Tel
  7. In my experience I have always been in Auto & the only time I have been aware of the fans is when the cabin temperature is very high in Summer or I activate the Screen Clear Button----the Auto Mode is excellent @ maintaining the set temperature across the entire range & a 1 or 2 degree adjustment is achieved with little notable noise or flow change. Tel
  8. Steering Column Lever controls both modes i.e. Cruise & Radar. Tel
  9. 4000 Mile Report. Winter mpg----24 mile return journey----23.5. Had a very intermittent driver's footwell area chatter that was resolved by the superb Derby Team-----the Fuse Box was the culprit & the rectification was carried out @ my home as my road turned-out to be the only surface that could excite the niggle! Just used Macguires Ultimate Polish & are chuffed to report all is Mint----nil road-rash & easy to clean wheels thanks to this Forum's advice----the paint formula must have changed as I have reluctantly driven on many a gritted road & one 3 mile snow-run that impressed me but there was no other vehicle in site & the 5mm of snow was fresh!!!!!! Bridgestones set @ 37.5 & ,in Winter Testing--see above--running pressure rises surprisingly quickly to 41psig @ max 40 mph. TEl
  10. No error code-no fault-------on my first SEL Auto same check came-up with me & that showed a CO2 exhaust sensor fault given, like you,the car drove perfectly normal. Tel
  11. I am surprised as The Lexus Enthusiast,Road Fly & Motor Trend, plus "my Lexus Technician" all comment on the improvements as significant & I have said that everyone that I have piloted have commented on the smoothness of the delivery. However,Toe-out angles,Titanium-roll bars, different dampers & spring rates, new suspension bushes are not everybody's cup of tea but, IMHO, the softened MY 11car excels whereas the jiggly ride of the 2011(MY 10) car did not justify the small increase in price for a 2011 MY.I had darker Trim inserts, DAB radio as STD,a new instrument pod , DRL's & new wheel choice, a new "black" to consider & ,along with those USA Reports & Forum Comments chose the later car----it was simply a no brainer! Tel
  12. FJC, You have clearly not seen the Motor Trend 0r You-Tube Road Fly Report on the 2011/12 Model as the significant spec. changes is why I waited for the up-grade before purchasing----the vehicle is now more Road-bias than previous yet has reduced the SEMA Track time by 3 secs.A host of changes to Brakes,Steering ,Ride/Handling,Trim,Options & Instruments to name the major items! Tel
  13. ISF is Built To Order-----2012/11 specs hardly differ, see the USA Motor Trend Report for details. Tel
  14. I do believe they are good to have as the tire profile is relatively shallow they can often "look low" & the fact that, even on short journeys @ moderate speeds, the tire pressure increases by c.10% from the cold setting. @ 130mph on an Autostrada TPWS is nice to have! Tel
  15. Picking up on the Tyre Pressure comment the 2011 Model year has aTyre pressure sensor for 2 Sets of Tyres i.e Road & Track. Tel
  16. Not 2011------no DRL's,wrong trim,wrong Dash! Tel
  17. Model Year 11 changes were significant ----see RoadFlys Road Test on You-Tube:whilst Factory spec & options were better too. I drove my first ISF in 2008 & then a 2008 in 2011 against 2011 model @ a Lexus Open Road event to confirm the improvements & whether the new dash was easy to read & likened the 2011 Version to be a rocket propelled derivative of my then 250 SEL Auto on 18" Hoshis----My view is the Mk1 from 2007 to 2010 is Track-biased whilst the Mk2 2011 changes have enhanced the every day ride without sacrificing Track Performance . Tel
  18. Where do you find the annual sales from & is the model year included in the data? Tel
  19. Fgc, You have a good point & may well be correct but you would think all these high-performance saloons would suffer higher lift @ maximum speed which they clearly do not. Tel
